We had a great time. We ordered the steaking with shrimp, rice, beans, and tortillas. The food was delicious, and the portions were pretty large. The ambiance is delightful. We really enjoyed ourselves. We will be returning often.

What an Amazing Place! 😍 Visited with my fiancée and we both loved everything about it. The food was incredible—truly exceeded our expectations. If I could, I’d give it 10 stars! We also received 5 beautiful framed photos that looked like professional portraits, which made the experience even more special. Big thanks to the staff and management for the excellent service. We’ll definitely be back!

What a wonderful experience! It was my first time at this restaurant, and everything exceeded my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff was kind, respectful, and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant was clean and well-organized, and our order arrived quicker than expected. One thing that truly stood out was the on-site photographer. It’s not something you often see in restaurants, and he did a fantastic job capturing beautiful moments with my family. We left with three lovely framed photos that made the visit even more special. Highly recommended, and I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Im giving the atmosphere 3 stars for one reason. The inside is beautifully done, looks fantastic. The problem is that the music was way too loud. You cannot have a conversation bc you have to compete w it. The volume shd come down 3 notches. The food was ok, I love the gravy. The rice needs attention, does not seem like legit Mexican rice. The taco was nice. The margarita was good. Its the best I've had in lufkin amd I've sampled all Mexican food in the area searching for decent food and drinks.

It's a nice, cozy family restaurant with great service and atmosphere.

The staff was nice but not informative. I got fajitas it doesn’t come with sour cream (that’s weird) but ok . I ask for a side and got a dollop of daisy they charged $1.75 but didn’t tell me that when I asked for side . I would have cancelled the side on principle cause wow that’s crazy for a spoonful of sour cream . I have went there before and not got charged so I guess just depends on server . Also when did we stop getting cheese with fajitas?! If I order taco it has cheese .. Their hot sauce & fajitas were really good though !

I wouldn't throw rocks at it but service was great. Tea was delicious, salsa had a good spice to it had the mix fajitas and chicken better than the steak. Could have been cut for better portions.

First time visited this restaurant, I would say the chips and warm salsa is the best. We really liked it. But the main dishes were disappointing - my husband ordered burrito, it was small and only half of the burrito was in the plate. My order was a disaster, the sauce was extremely salty, I didn't want to return the dish... definitely not going back again :(

Food was delicious my service was excellent. However I returned today 7-25 didn’t go in seeing this mess right outside their kitchen is enough for me to not come back until it’s cleaned up. You’re just inviting bugs and rodents into your restaurant.

wouldn’t recommend the service wasn’t very good food was bland salsa was very peppery and the worst thing was that the tres leches was VERY dry and disgusting overall is was very disappointing Hernandez is better.

This place is trash simple and plain bring back red lobster… everything that should come on a mexican dish you have to pay for as add on’s… most definitely not a traditional Lufkin mexican restaurant i dont recommend out Of towners or in-towners to eat there

Food was good, atmosphere was good, but when it was time to pay for our food, our server took our card and never returned it when he brought us the receipt. The server never came back, and when we mentioned it up front they went looking for our card and we stood there waiting for almost 10 minutes before they found it and brought it back. When we walked up to ask about our card, there was another woman up there waiting who told us that this is the second time now that she has walked into the restaurant and saw someone up front saying their card wasn't returned to them.

Really disappointed today ! 10/04/25 No senior menu so I ordered the kids taco plate. Was told ohh yeah no problem. Never said anything else to me. Got the ticket was charged $1.50 for fajita meat , I didn’t ask for that ! Didn’t ever get asked! Then a $2.00 miscellaneous charge. For what ? He acted like he didn’t speak much English ! He was the worst waiter!! Crazy Amish looking beard 🤣 Beans were so dry too !! Do better or close !! Doubt if we go back !

The accompanying rice and beans were completely flavorless, as if the kitchen is afraid of using salt. • Texas Burrito: A mushy, inedible mess smothered in cheap cheese, paired again with the same tasteless rice and beans. • Shrimp Cocktail: The only redeeming dish of the evening, though my husband rated it just a 6/10. Overall, the lack of seasoning and poor quality ingredients made this meal forgettable. We ordered online and had our meal delivered, so cannot comment on service. Unless there’s a serious turnaround in the kitchen, we won’t be returning.

Decided to try the New Mexican restaurant tonight. I’m not sure how it could be any worse. Ordered a shrimp and enchilada meal and the shrimp were not pealed and had no flavor. Also ordered queso that must be straight from a can. My friend got fajitas. The tortillas looked like they might have tasted good a few weeks ago but were dry and hard. Overall the food was nasty and most of it is in my trash can. Very disappointed
