The service was good; they put in as minimal steak as possible, as usual, though. I couldn't finish my bowl and decided to take the leftovers. When I asked for a paper bag to put the bowl in, they said they were 10 cents each. Really, Chipotle? Is this how you've decided to make a profit? The music seemed too loud and distracting. All the trash cans go to the same place, so don't waste your time trying to sort them before throwing them out.

One worker was definitely high and had to be told several times by each person what kind of beans they wanted. And then when we wrote our names on our food with their markers, they threw them out. If that's not allowed they shouldn't be in reach. Kinda skimped on my bowl, but otherwise food was good.

Came in at 6:30pm on a Sunday night (prime dinner time) and they’re out of steak and not even cooking more! Kinda bad planning for a dinner rush 😬

This Chipotle has a convenient location when in Malibu, but the portion sizes are tiny when compared to other Chipotles.

Staff was nice enough, and I don’t blame my poor experience on them but rather what they are instructed to do by management. I received the smallest burrito from chipotle at this location I ever have. No exaggeration it was about half the size of the portion I have always gotten normally at every single chipotle I have been to in Los Angeles. I know small portion sizes are a common complaint at chipotle, but I’ve found myself always satisfied with the portion I’d received until today. It was kind of obnoxious tbh. Wish management would give out proper portion sizes, I basically just ate a salsa flavored tortilla!

It was my first and last time at this particular chipotle. Normally this chain is very consistent but this place was especially stingy with their portions. I never been told that extra rice on my bowl would literally cost extra. Since I don’t eat their beans i said fine i’ll accept the ridiculous extra charge…then this girl literally have me one spoon more…this is crazy. Malibu is a well off area why is their portioning so tiny?

I only eat Chipotle when I know I have the next two days off, because I know I will be on the toilet 🚽 for said two days. Why is that? Seed oils or? 🤔 Upside: tastes good. Downside, $20 for a burrito 🌯 and new toilet $200.

Might be the most measly portion I have ever gotten from a Chipotle. Honestly, it was truly pathetic.

The guy making my burrito did a terrible job. One tip to improve, drain the water from the pico de gallo before you put it into the burrito, otherwise it makes the burrito super wet and gross.

Horrible customer service, no restroom before you buy something, like at the cheap place. Malibu!!!

Worst Chipotle ever. No ingredients ever even with a few hours till close. Place is filthy inside. Complained to corporate office and they could care less. I remember when Chipotle first came out it was such a special place.

I went to this Chipotle location around 8:30pm last night and was shocked at how nasty and unsanitary the food prep area was. When the guy handed me my burrito it had rice on the outside of the paper it was wrapped in. I was also shocked because the garbage was so full that I couldn’t get my receipt in it. Trash should be taken out just before it’s full ESPECIALLY in a restaurant. I realize fast food restaurants can get busy but management needs to do better.

I read some of the reviews about this particular Chipotle located in Malibu and they are spot on. The employees are rude and don't appear to have providing good customer service anywhere on their radar. The portions they gave me -- twice -- were unsatisfactory. The third time, I told them to keep it and left. Really scanty portions, unlike any of the other Chipotle locations. Sad, because it's the closest to us. But, we have written off eating there ever again. Also, my spouse received "toothy" rice in his burrito. It was very undercooked. I tried the lime cauliflower rice and it was inedible. Over salted and generally yuk. That was an added price which was money thrown away. I wish management would step in and upgrade the food and service (employees) at this location. Don't waste your money here.

This place in Malibu is unbelievable filthy. I've been there four times. Each time all the tables were dirty. The trash cans were full with trash overspilling. The bathrooms were super nasty and leaking water from the ceiling etc.etc. I'm not going back to that place. Plus employees were very rude! NEW MANAGEMENT IS URGENT!!!!

Poor service bordering on rude. Was the only Customer at the time and had to wait as 4 people behind the counter were doing other things. Had to ask for more rice and other ingredients were also really skimpy. Bathroom is closed and so is the patio despite a sign in the window that the patio is open. Love Chipotle but this location is obviously badly managed so will avoid in the future.

Horrible! We eat at Chipotle a lot on east coast. This Chipotle in a high end beach town, Malibu. Horrible. Out of hard tacos!! Out of white rice! Out of grilled veggies. Super stingy on toppings. Staff rude and acted like they didn’t want to be there and we were putting them out. At least 6 people working there but super slow and sloppy. Place was so dirty. Certainly gives your chain a bad name. Checked other reviews and looks like lots of similar comments about this location. Unacceptable and very disappointing!!

I have been to many chipotle locations, but this one is the worst. The portion sizes they have given me have been very very small numerous times. At first I thought it was just a certain employee who gave small portions, but as I kept going back I realized that all of the employees serve the same. I do not get my moneys worth here, and neither will you. They really need change at this Chipotle location.

Great food, as in any chipotle. But the worst service I've seen. Today they forgot to add barbacoa to my barbacoa bowl. Last time they didn't wrap the burrito but just kind of bunched it all together into an awful looking mess. Can't really blame the staff as they are clearly not trained. And it's always new people - have you ever held on to a single employee for more than a month? This Chipotle is a classic example of how not to run a restaurant.

I usually love Chipotle and eat it a few times a week, but this particular location is a dumpster fire. Every chipotle gives 2 scoops of rice as a base, this location only gives one. That’s fine, whatever, it’s just rice I thought. Usually when a chipotle scoops the protein, there’s a few pieces that fall off the side of the ladle.. literally no pieces fell off the side of the ladle because the amount of chicken they scooped was like half a ladle. I asked “Can I have a little more chicken please?” and the worker thought about it for a second and then reluctantly gave me a little more chicken. Now onto the guacamole… sheesh so bad. They gave me about 1/2 a scoop which amounted to what looked like 1 maybe 2 tablespoons of guac. I asked the worker “Can I have a little more guac please?” and the worker became visibly upset and said “I’ll have to charge you extra” so I told him he didn’t even give me a full single serving and he said “That’s 4 oz, you can’t have more”. I told him never mind and to just cancel the order. Don’t go here if you like good portion sizes.

This place needs help badly. Needs help from Corporate!! Lady taking my order couldn’t speak one word of English. Every person in there moved unbelievably slow, zero effort, terrible attitudes. Most of the food items that were being added to My burrito were empty and looking terrible. Pray for me and my stomach.

The food is good but i’ve never been to a chipotle that gives this little food. I asked for half chicken half brisket and he gave me like nothing of each. And he also tried to charge me for extra white rice.

I go to this chipotle almost everyday and in the last month it has gotten substantially worse, you could show up and there could be five people in front of you and it could take upwards of thirty minutes, on top of that this place is clearly well understaffed and honestly the employees working there are also all new so it looks like there’s a lot of manager issues on this branch, on top of that there’s also a chance that you could wait ten minutes for somebody just to come to the register so you can actually pay for your food, collectively I have exhausted at least 5-15 minutes everytime I go at the counter waiting for someone to come serve me and they never come and I’m sitting there waddling like a duck and eventually it gets so built up there’s a literal swarm in front of the food. Who ever the manager of this branch is and whoever are in charge of staff need to be fired immediately because this is the only chipotle I have seen people get out of line because it just takes too long, but this isn’t the only issue like I said earlier that this staff is new I mean every single one has come on in the last month or two, management put no veteran staff in any of those lineups and I believe it’s because management literally got everybody to leave on overworked hours or they’re just not getting paid enough. The food though is good but there’s a chance you’re gonna get additional protein in the form of tendons and then you can get uncut vegetables also put in your burrito. Overall quality of this place has dropped 80 percent and it’s clearly because the manager has no clue what they’re doing and it’s literally obvious.

Then we waited to be served as two employees were busy chopping etc. When we Were finally acknowledged, a woman came up and just stared at us with a blank stare. We then told her what we wanted.. she, as if it was bothering her .. started to fill the order. We left .. walked down the sidewalk a few yards and found a wonderful little sushi restaurant with wonderful people and a wonderful vibe.

staff was very nice to the people in front of me and then when i started working they gave me attitude and i couldn’t even continue ordering because of how rude he was to me. ruined my appetite. customer service here really lacks.

I do not leave reviews but my experience here was so terrible I feel compelled to save others from exerting any time or energy to visit this location. For such a nice area and shopping center, one would expect decent service or maybe even a smile from any of the employees? Everything about my experience was terrible! my food was made with poor attitude and blatant indifference. The portion sizes were SO small - I have never had this issue at an chipotle. When I made a comment about this, they pretty much told me to deal with it or pay for extra. Every single employee looked absolutely miserable and every single employee I interacted with was so rude. None of them seemed to even be doing anything and were all moving in slow motion. The woman at the register even tried to tell me she couldn’t take cash because she didn’t feel like getting a manager to get more change! I didn’t even want to eat the food anymore after such a brutal experience.
