Duino Coffee Mckinney Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding! This coffee shop is truly a gem — the kind of place that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and full of genuine community spirit. You can tell that everyone who works here — from the friendly baristas to the amazing owners — truly loves what they do and cares about the people who come through the door. The food is incredible — every single item on the menu feels like it’s been created with care, intention, and a passion for flavor. The ingredients are fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the taste is out of this world. And don’t even get me started on the beverages — each one is crafted to perfection, whether it’s your favorite latte, a seasonal specialty, or a simple cup of coffee brewed just right. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything so right: the food, the drinks, the service, and the overall vibe. You can truly feel the heart behind it all. I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else — this is my go-to spot, hands down. Fabulous in every way! ☕💛
Duino Coffee was a spontaneous stop for us as we passed through Dallas. Located in a roadside plaza, it’s not the most picturesque setting from the outside, but once inside, the atmosphere shifts entirely. The interior design is warm and thoughtfully put together-great lighting, stylish fixtures, and a comfortable layout. The vibe is mellow and the crowd feels interesting and engaged. We ordered coffee and pastries. The pastry was fresh and enjoyable, but the coffee didn’t quite match our personal preference-possibly a different milk or roast profile than we’re used to. That said, the quality of everything else and the overall experience still left a positive impression. It’s the kind of place we’d definitely give another chance. Would be happy to return and explore more of the menu next time we’re in the area.
I was recommended this cafe by my friend, I ordered their peppermint mocha and chicken pesto panino. I’m not a picky eater but quality really matters to me and the flavors here are amazing! Looking around, they have such a nice vibe, cute outdoor seating, and great variety. If you’re a students needing to study, if you work remotely, or even if you just need a place to read or take your family to, this is that place!
My first time so this isn't a full fledged review and edits/updates will follow. We had the King Cake Iced Latte and it was quite delightful. Very different from the usual bunch of iced coffees/lattes that we are normally accustomed to. The ambience is good and very airy and lighted, thanks to the glass walls on both the sides. For now, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, with a hope that they can continue living up to all the 5 star ratings/reviews.
I visited this coffee shop for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed my caffeinated experience! I'm visiting from out of state and wanted to find a good coffee shop to relax and get things done in between my business meetings. I like the location of the shop, the outside of the coffee shop was interesting, there was plenty of parking, was not greeted upon entering but the employees were friendly, the inside of the shop was clean, neat and had plenty of varied, comfortable seating, A/C!, good workable WI-Fi, delicious Brazil mild roast drip coffee and tuna salad, has a really good full beverage, breakfast, and lunch menu, two, clean restrooms, and relaxing music.
This is a charming little coffee shop with lots of atmosphere. The food is amazing but the kitchen doesn't open until 7am. The coffee is outstanding, but the real quality lies in the baristas attention to you as a person. It's something to be greeted by name and, "Have a great day!" as you walk out the door. Plus, it's the only coffee shop in the area that opens at 630am weekdays. I love it!!
My husband and I stopped in to Duino's Coffee Shop on Stacy Rd in McKinney. I'm always looking for coffee spots that actually make good coffee drinks with good service. This is definitely a great place to go. The atmosphere is functional and stylish. There are several seating areas... The dining section with tables and chairs. The kitchen table setting for a larger group, and a living room for space for those who like a little more laid back. There were several charging stations in the wall for those who want to do a little work there or even just charge your phone. The staff was attentive and helpful although as a business owner myself, I would loved to have seen them smile as they greeted the guests. They have a nice selection of coffees, teas, breakfast and lunch items. Coffees were great! I had the king cake latte and my husband had the banana foster latte. King cake was great! The banana foster could have used a little more banana flavor but still very good. There were lots of little impulse gifts you could purchase, such as, candles, soaps, and masks And they had a nice variety of cold drinks and waters. Overall we really enjoyed Duino's and would definitely go again!!
Not bad! Nice place to hangout. The coffee is pretty good here! I did not like their seasonal stuff. The strawberry matcha kinda tasted just like strawberry milk and the blueberry crunch was extremely milky as well. So I don’t know if all their drinks are this milky but the 2 I ordered lacked other flavors. I understand the point of a latte but I also have been to many coffee shops and can say that this has the biggest milk taste of any latte I have ever had.
Visited on two separate occasions. First time, I tried the Maple Cinnamon Latte (pictured) and a Turkey Panino. Second time, I tried the King Cake Latte (pictured). Both coffees were excellent - just the right amount of sweetness and flavor in a smooth tasting coffee. Unfortunately, the sandwich fell short. Nothing particularly tasty about it and a bit bland. My friend tried a different sandwich and had similar thoughts. But highly recommend the coffee.
3★ – Almost perfect, with one Huge (and ironic) caveat Duino is a beautiful spot—inviting, thoughtfully designed, and clearly loved by the team running it. The baristas were friendly, fast, and skilled. We tried the ABLTs (delicious), followed by chocolate and almond croissants that were genuinely outstanding. The seating is varied and comfortable, with plenty of outlets—a fantastic setup for working, studying, or just relaxing with a bite. But here's the rub—and it's a big one for a coffeehouse: the coffee itself. Specifically, the espresso. Duino uses Eiland’s Espresso Delicato for their shots, and unfortunately, it misses the mark. The roast is extremely dark, past bordering on burnt. Think way darker-than-Starbucks dark. Whatever origin notes were once there are completely lost to overwhelming roast flavors. Now, I say this not as a casual critic, but as someone who’s owned and operated a successful café and roastery, and helped launch several more. And I want to be clear: this wasn’t a barista issue. The shot was pulled well—no signs of under- or over-extraction or poor water quality and temperature seemed dialed in. The team did the best possible with the beans they had - a hard task for sure. That’s what makes this a frustrating miss. Duino has all the ingredients of a top-tier café—great food, atmosphere, staff, and service. With a better espresso roast, they could truly crush it. I sincerely hope the owners start exploring other coffee options and begin cupping a replacement. There are so many amazing, well-balanced coffees out there that would elevate the entire experience and match the quality of everything else Duino is doing so well. Would I come back? YES. Would I order an espresso based drink? Definitely not—until the beans change.
I ordered an iced pistachio honey latte and it didn’t taste like pistachio or honey. Also there were either pepper or spices in my drink and idk why that was needed. Also our food was not great. I ordered the breakfast taco and it was literally just egg with barely any cheese for almost $4. The ham and swiss sandwich was the most basic sandwich and made us feel sick. The girl at the front was nice. But the food and drink was not it.
Overpriced. $6 breakfast taco with one egg and a single piece of microwaved bacon. Response- It wasn’t better than a gas station breakfast taco. I think if you want to sell breakfast tacos at that price point, you should add more egg, more bacon (this was absolutely premade bacon whether microwaved or previously frozen) and at least heat up the tortilla. Relative to a gas station taco or anywhere else where I can get a 4 ingredient breakfast taco for $5 or less, this wasn’t up to par. Do you have any repeat customers that buy breakfast tacos? Or do they order it once and never again?
I'm not from the area and don't visit coffee shops much but I wanted a bagel. I finally found this spot and initially thought "okay nice vibes". They had a little pumpkin contest going I thought was super cute. Staff was helpful I order a latte with vanilla and caramel. Tasty! BUTTTTTT MY BAGEL HAD MOLD!!!! I smelled the "sweet" bread smell when it was being prepared in the back but thought it was something else they were making. I actually had the thought of "smells good" never did I ever expect that I would receive a molded bagel I came for a bagel, not coffee. That bagel was $4 I am highly disappointed. Plus this is a health hazard. Why didn't I take it back: I had a meeting to attend that was 4 hours. I opened my bagel while there after drinking my coffee (which I now regret) After such an endeavor I was not interested in going back to discuss I went home.
