Ristorante "Promessi Sposi" Melgrate Reviews
A memorable dining experience from start to finish.❤️ It was my first time having risotto prepared this way…. So delicate.. deeply flavourful, and beautifully balanced. Was lucky to have the whole restaurant as it was empty for the night, which made the evening even more special. 🥰Lisander is fine dining at its best… refined yet most importantly… unpretentious!! Its elegant without the usual airs that often come with it. A true hidden gem in Melgrate.
An exceptional culinary journey. Delicious dishes, original offerings. Elegant atmosphere, quality service. If Lisander isn't a Michelin-starred restaurant today, it probably will be!
Best fine dining experience to date. Staff had a big smile, food was immaculate and pricing reasonable. Free parking as well, upon request. Went there randomly upon arrival at Lake Como on Christmas Eve. Best decision of our stay. That took place in 2023 btw. We went there so tired after our flight and did not really focus on anything else apart enjoying the amazing menu they had. But glad I found these pictures on my album. They deserve the 5 star.
This is great!!! We ordered an octopus appetizer - it's divine!! We recommend it! Then we ordered veal shoulder and pasta - everything was top notch)) very tasty😍😍😍 Starters and bread - a work of art🔥🔥🔥🔥
An exceptional experience! Quality cuisine, attentive to detail, and surprising in its flavor combinations. Attentive, friendly staff welcomes you and guides you throughout your dinner. Must try!!!
We had a sensational meal here. The tasting menu was delicious, good value, and delivered with friendly and informative service. Despite there being a big group in most of the rest of the small restaurant our table wasn’t overlooked and we didn’t feel uncomfortable - we were well looked after. If you’re in the area, do book in.
Andre was our waiter, we stayed in the Hotel Promissi Sposi. It was fabulous
The restaurant, like the whole hotel, is very minimal, in my opinion a bit lacking in identity. As for dinner and the service, however, nothing to say! Everything TOP! Highly qualified and prepared staff. We ate divinely! They are not the usual dishes, but refined courses and top-quality ingredients! A real quality food experience! Extreme attention especially to allergies and intolerances. I highly recommend trying this gem! My compliments again to the Chef! Obviously quality has its value. But you won't regret it! Really wow! Thanks again for everything! See you next time!
Exceptionally good food and impeccable service. Excellent value for money for a fine dining restaurant. Portions were generous and varied. Beautifully presented plates. I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
Quite a chic restaurant in a beautiful 4-star hotel. The dining room is a little cold, with no decor or paintings. It's a shame it lacks warmth. Fortunately, the food is more welcoming! We had the fish menu, and it was truly delicious. The variety of ingredients, the selection of flavors, and the cooking were truly perfect. We were surprised by the scallops accompanied by hibiscus! A risotto with candied lemon pearls and a red mullet! A journey as much as a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. Finally, the waiters were very attentive and caring. We had our dog with us, and they brought us water without us asking :) A very nice evening.
We had a dinner at this restaurant. To start with the food it was absolutely amazing, from very clever amuse bouche and home baked bread to tasty desserts. The whole experience was very enjoyalble and the staff was especially nice.
It's a must-see if you're staying at the Promessi Sposi Hotel or in Malgrate. The quality of the dishes offered by the chef and the professionalism of the restaurant staff, who are highly knowledgeable and helpful but not obsessive, are truly superb.
Nice restaurant in the Promessi Sposi hotel with great food but maybe not quite all the fine dining touches you would expect. Pros: The food is really good. The dishes we had were inventive and flavorful. Particularly liked the arctic char appetizer (have had thousands of pieces of raw fish but not sure I’ve ever had it with a raspberry compote) and my wife loved her lamb. Cons: I feel like it’s trying to be a fine dining restaurant which it’s really not. If it was in a well-decorated restaurant with awesome service maybe I would look past the 3 hour dining timeline, expensive prices, really small portions, etc but it just felt out of place. Feels a bit weird to have a free breakfast at 9 AM and a few hundred euro meal at 9 PM sitting at the same table.
We chose this restaurant for a dinner by the lake. The location is minimal, perhaps a little bare, but the food is excellent and the menu is quite varied (we recommend the spaghetti with sheep's milk ragù, which is delicious!). The only complaint we had was the ricotta and raspberry dessert, which was a bit too simple. Unfortunately, we noticed several shortcomings in the service. Despite the limited seating, the waiters' attentiveness left a lot to be desired... they repeatedly came by without collecting our finished dishes, and at the end of the meal, we had to wait 10-15 minutes after asking for the bill. Overall, the hostess seemed a bit unfriendly. A good, new place, but definitely in need of improvement!
Very nice staff, professional in their work. The menu is small, but the food is interesting. Really enjoyed the deer appetizer. The rest of the food was okay, but I wouldn't say it was very tasty and worth its money. The paste is pretty ordinary, the portions are small. The meat seemed a little overcooked. The interior could have been more sophisticated. When you pay over 100 euros per person for dinner you expect much more.
This restaurant has great service, the food looks great. There are only two issues - everything is overpriced, and most of it is just not tasty. They invested so much in how it looks, they failed to create delicious food. We sent back one plate and barley finished the rest.
