Delicious food in a charming atmosphere, with great service.
Such a nice cute place. Very good coffee and beautifully decorated! Staff super friendly!
Good place, with delicious Mexicano coffee and very careful employees. Don’t hesitate to try it :)
I discovered this place during my 2 week visit to Merida back in Nov. 2023 and so glad I did. I ordered a cafe con leche which was so good and a plate of fresh fruit. Before returning back to the states I returned a second time to enjoy this small cozy cafe. I will be returning to Merida with family in Feb. 2024 and will definitely introduce them to La Abadia.
Lovely cafe, friendly staff, delicious coffee at a reasonable price!
A little pearl right in the middle of the busy city center. This cafe is truly a gem 💎 . As soon as you enter, it feels warm and friendly. The interior is amazing and breathes a relaxed atmosphere. We had coffee and tea with an amazing piece of cake 🍰 with strawberry sauce. Fingerlicking good! Very friendly staff and outstanding service. 10/10 for sure 👌🏻
Excellent place. Great food & very friendly staff. A must visit when in Merida. Elisa the barista speaks a bit of English. Lastly: it is very affordable & the restroom is very clean.
really cool place for a coffee break and seems to be perfect for the breakfast so see U tomorrow :)
Very good coffee and awesome Frappés. It looks so nice from inside and the service was friendly and polite.
The decorations and theme were the best part of this restaurant. The food, however, was disappointing and lacked any homemade quality. We ordered chilaquiles de mole y pollo and huevos motuleños. The chicken was dry, the mole was way too sweet and tasted like it came straight out of a can, and the huevos motuleños were missing the typical plantain and used a store-bought sauce. The tostones and tostadas in both dishes also tasted like the cheapest tostones you can buy from the store. As I mentioned, nothing felt homemade, and the prices were excessive for the quality. I couldn’t even finish my dish. The drinks were no better. The mint lemonade was an unnatural shade of green, clearly loaded with food coloring. While the espresso was decent, it was too overpriced—you’d be better off grabbing one at Starbucks. Additionally, they didn’t provide a stirrer, so we had to use the straw from the lemonade instead. The decor was the only highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, it’s not enough to make up for the poor food and drinks. I won’t be returning to this restaurant.
