Tacos El Porky Miami Reviews
I’ve wonder why my brother drives from Pembroke Pines to eat tacos here. Well, the food is crazy good! You need to have the chochi-tacos (with chicharrón) and better if you come on Tuesdays because you will have pastor tacos for $2.
As a taco lover, I have to say, this is the best taco ever!! Love the authentic taste, every time I come my mouth waters waiting for me taco. The service is fast and friendly. Highly recommend it.
One becomes a fan of Mexican food, almost by birthright, being from Chicago--as there's an abundance of really good taco places up there. In moving to Miami I found it was a bit harder to find a good, consistent taco spot, so that's why I was really excited to find Porky's when I was walking around downtown. The service is what gets you first. Carolina took care of me and she was amazing. She walked me through some of the lesser traditional tacos, which I always ask about, and treated me as if I had been a customer for years. The lone chef working that morning was friendly as well. Being in hospitality myself, I know good service when I see it and Porky's provided. They also provided on flavor and portion size, and when you're working in the 4.50/5.00/per taco range, that's what I expect. The traditional pastor, always a good measuring stick for a places like this, was excellent, and it had the big chunks of pineapple I like. And, as a gringo that likes to try the aforementioned "lesser known" tacos, I was blown away by the tripa and the chicharrones tacos--and would encourage anyone who wants to branch away from chicken and pork to try those two. *The last thing about this place that struck me was the salsa station. They had 5 or 6 varieties, ranging in spice level and color, and it was serve yourself. Usually you're getting two small cups at a place and it's a process to get more, but here you could sample all their salsas free of charge, and could go up for more if you enjoyed a particular one. And they were all beautiful and made in-house from what I understand. A very nice touch, Porky's. All in all, I will 100% be back for the tacos AND the service. Thank you to Carolina, Chef, and Porky's for a wonderful lunch. I'll be back soon.
This was our first time visiting El Porky and we were pleasantly surprised. Carolina took very good care of us by making sure all of our needs were met. We will definitely be returning! The food was also 10/10
My fav hidden gem, more people need to know about this place ! Been to Mexico a million times and tacos taste the same . Service is always nice and Tuesdays tacos are $2.
Yummy…. Irresistible…. So fresh and believe it or not… clean…. A very authentic taco…. Best in DT Minai
Really tasty and authentic Mexican food in Miami. One of the best spots in miami for tacos.
This is the real deal. Finding good tacos in Miami is pretty hard, but this place nails it. Quick, friendly service and delicious food. Sauces are all natural, nothing comes from a jar. This is going on my list of regulars!!
Found them on Instagram & the tacos looked pretty good so I decided to give them a try and they did not disappoint 🙌 Easily the best pastor tacos I've had so far. I also love the way they packaged everything very organized unlike other places that just squish everything together. 10/10 recommend trying them out. This place might be pricey but it's worth it 🙌🏼 order online 2pm-6pm to get them on special and save some $$$
The tacos are not exactly cheap for their size, but the al pastor taco tasted great. The meat is cut fresh from the spit. truly authentic. Various salsas are available to choose from.
I visited el Porky for dinner and let me tell you, what an incredible experience! The best customer service in town, very attentive and personable people. The food was hands down 5 stars, the ribeye tacos were the best I have had. The “gringa” quesadilla was very delicious. Will definitely be coming back and would recommend 👌🏻
Located close to my office in downtown miami, this place is small and no frills. However, their tacos are very very authentic. Tacos are on what may be considered small size compared to other taco sizes. But they are delicious. The Al Pastor tacos come with a slice of pineapple that makes everything extra juicy and breaks the spiciness of the taco. A must have is their cochi taco: pickled red onion, salsa verde, crunchy chicharrones: mmmgood!! Will definitely be coming back for more!!
Amazing! The best chicharrones con guacamole!! I had to ordered a second order. The tacos uff! 100% on fire. Recomendado 100% thanks Victor y Claudia Thanks for the amazing service.
Great Tacos, the Gringas are great and the Horchata is so good! The best service is always provided by Ricardo and Leonor! So nice and helpful, they always make our tacos perfect.
I walked into El Porke expecting either a culinary miracle or gastrointestinal regret. Spoiler alert: I left with neither—just an existential craving for more tacos and a deep philosophical question: Why are the most delicious things in life also the smallest and most unfairly portioned? Let’s start with the tacos. These little tortilla-wrapped treasures were so good, I briefly considered proposing to the chef. Flavor? Unreal. Texture? Divine. Presentation? Minimalist, like a crime scene where the victim was joy. Honestly, every bite felt like a love letter written in salsa and regret because I knew the moment I finished, I’d be emotionally unfulfilled and still hungry. They’re basically the culinary equivalent of a toxic situationship—so good, so wrong, and you keep going back anyway. The only real complaint? These tacos are tiny. Like “are you kidding me?” tiny. If tacos were dogs, these would be teacup Chihuahuas. If they were Netflix series, they’d be one-season wonders that end on a cliffhanger. I needed six to feel like a functioning member of society again. But that’s the thing about El Porke—they know they’re serving you tiny bites of heaven, and they’re absolutely smug about it. And I respect the hell out of that. Atmosphere? Chill, casual, and just enough lighting to see your disappointment when you realize your plate is already empty. Service? Sharp, quick, and way too friendly for how much emotional damage their portion sizes cause. Final thoughts: El Porke might leave your stomach asking “Where’s the rest?”, but your taste buds will be too busy writing thank-you notes. I came for tacos and stayed for the mild heartbreak. 10/10, would emotionally spiral here again.
If you have not tried the cochi taco , what are you doing . Go out and try it . Small menu and easy to decide . You order on a computer so there’s no confusions . Drinks are 4$ + , tacos are a bit expensive but make up for it with the quality and taste of the tacos . Parking is the issue . Drive around and find your best option . Small line but plenty of orders coming in so expect a 10-15 min wait for your food to be ready . Indoor and outdoor seating , and very clean work space . 9/10 because of parking ! Will go back ! Pastor Torta was also delicious!!!!
This is the best taco place of Miami !! Service, Food and delicious sauces, the prices are really good 👍🏼 100% recommend
We went right as they opened on a rainy morning and they were super sweet! The woman working that day explained everything on their menu, their specialties, and overall just had a very welcoming attitude. We got chicken, carne asada, and la gringa and they were all amazing! They were very attentive and making sure we liked everything. They’re great at what they do!
This my favorite hole in the wall kinda place for tacos, dont expect fancy, just real tacos. By far my favorite are tripa tacos. I go on a regular basis and its amazing how Claudia and Victor already know what im want! Its always nice to be remembered. Oh and Tuesday $2 pastor taxos all day.
The food was absolutely amazing and the service was so good. The man behind the counter offered me free chips while I waited and he told me to try all the sauces I could very nice people amazing food definitely becoming back.
Great service. Highly recommend al pastor tacos
This is the place for taco Tuesdays. 2.00$ el pastor tacos. Get 4 or 5; they are small. Sauces are excellent. Place is small and noisy. Best to eat outside.
1st time at Tacos El Porky and I can’t believe I’m just now discovering this place! Carolina took my order and gave me 10/10 service. They even place the best Mexican music - felt like I was at my local taco place in my town in Mexico. The salsa reminds me of the ones my mother makes…you don’t know her but that should tell you something.
Best pastor tacos in Florida! I never miss taco Tuesdays!
This place is my favorite tacos restaurant in Miami, all the tacos are really good. Today I met the cook, Victor, he was very nice and helpful, I told him that I really liked the steak tacos and he took the time to explain to me how the steak tacos were prepared with oak charcoal, the meet was very tasty. I have been to this restaurant a few times and I haven't seen many restaurants like this in Miami where the food is consistently good and employees are so nice.
Best tacos in town. Don't miss tacos al pastor
Food is Great! Service is amazing and the staff is always on point
Tacos "El Porky" is a hidden gem! The vibe is super chill, and it's the perfect spot to kick back. I was blown away by their tacos—seriously, so flavorful. The staff were super friendly too. Can't wait to go back! 🌮✨
We had an event with catering from Tacos El Porky. The service was excellent, the team serving had a very nice approach and were very professional. They were very flexible and accommodated last minute changes and the food was really delicious. Definitely recommend and would be happy to hire them again for a future event.
BEST TACO - I have been to many places for taco, I love taco. But I found the best taco (one of) at El Porky. Although I don’t speak Spanish, but the staff was very helpful in ordering. I had no idea what I ordered, but they all taste amazing. I would say the menu needs to be refined, more descriptive, currently it’s not friendly for non Spanish speakers. I would love to come again!
Very good place to try Mexican food, and the cakes are the best.
Just had an awesome time at Tacos "El Porky"! 🌮 The vibe is super chill, and the music really adds to the whole experience. The staff were super friendly and made me feel right at home. Totally recommend it! ✨
Simple, easy, delicious. The best tacos in town.
This spot is somewhere I decide to go when I know I want a reliable, consistently good taco. I used to live in downtown miami like 8 minutes up the road, I would Ubereats or dine-in all the time. I live in the suburbs now but I still think about this place. When I do, I will go out of my way to come back whenever I’m in the area!! Shoutout to Victor and Claudia, they are amazing in their quality of service, & very sweet people overall!!
Love this place! The tacos are fresh and flavorful and the sauces are delicious, and the chips and guac are well worth it. Honestly my only wish in terms of food would be more pineapple in the pastor, it's so good 😭 It's so easy and fast to order online and pick up, and they usually move through the line very quickly. There are a few tables inside and 1 or 2 outside as well.
Love this place. Porky’s have the best tacos!
The food was amazing and very good customer service
THE best taco spot in Miami hands down, they remind of just like tacos I’ve had in Mexico City . Simple menu , to the point . Everything is pork ! And everything is delicious! Super juicy meat, not dry at all, tortas are HUGE and tortillas are corn 🌽
Been here 4x. Best tacos in town and probably best Pastor in the country outside of 2 places I can think of which are as good, but better. Caro behind the counter was great. Unassuming place, and you order yourself on a touch screen so “atmosphere” is not really an appropriate factor. A place you to for Tacos - period.
This food is amazing!!! The people are amazing! $2 tacos you can’t beat it, honestly this is the best value in the area. No other taco spot can compare!!
Where do I even start…. My husband & I drove all the way from Tampa excited to try some Tacos Al Pastor and boy these Tacos came through. Hands down the best Tacos we’ve had in FLORIDA!!!!! I had Tacos de Chicharron and immediately on my first bite it took me back to when I was young & had my first Taco in Mexico, my husband had Al Pastor Tacos and they didn’t disappoint. Tacos El Porky made our whole night even better, we got there 15mins before closing time and Leonardo & Carolina where the most loving, caring & sweetest people working there, they were so kind and caring to us, we weren’t rushed nor given faces which is what made it even better, Carolina was so sweet she gave us a Flan which I also recommend, its was the perfect dessert to end our night! We will definitely be back (Tomorrow! 😂❤️) just because they were that BOMB!
Great food. Been coming since it opened. Prices have gone up a bit since then but goes with the neighborhood. Pastor tacos are off the chain
Great taco tuesday & John Carlo was amazing with helping me. Very nice establishment with quick and delicious food. Tacos for $2 on Tuesday?!? Yes! I am 100% coming back before soon!
This restaurant has amazing service and food. Will definitely be coming back with my friends and family. The attention from Anlly was amazing super professional felt very uncomfortable eating in.
The steak tacos were as good as they looked! The staff was fast and friendly. I will be back to visit again soon.
most exquisite salad i have ever had. servers were conversational and offered suggestions, also accepting feedback. the building is decorated beautifully and the overall atmosphere was so fun and upbeat. worth every second of the drive and i would absolutely eat there again :)
Great food, the tacos al pastor were delicious. Good location too.
Marcus was there as the only cook on a Saturday. Excellent service. I ordered 8 tacos for myself and he had them ready within like 10-15 mins. Tortillas were fresh and soft, steak and al pastor were cooked and assembled perfectly. The real star of the show is the sauces. Some amazing sauces on display. Gotta try all of them tbh. Definitely will come back once I get a chance!
Little place with big flavor! Stubbled up on this place just looking for food in the area and glad I found it. They only sell pork, so not too many protein options, but the tacos were full of flavor. The Chicharrón taco was my favorite! Check this place out if you are in the area and like pork.
If you’re looking for the best tacos in Miami, look no further than Tacos Porky! This local favorite is known for serving up mouthwatering, authentic Mexican flavors. From juicy al pastor to chicharrón, every bite is packed with bold spices and fresh ingredients. Tacos El Porky never disappoints. But what truly makes Tacos Porky special isn’t just the food—it’s the warm and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to incredible employees like Carolina. With her radiant smile and genuine hospitality, Carolina makes every customer feel like family. She’s always ready with a great recommendation, a friendly chat, and a passion for ensuring everyone leaves happy. Her energy and kindness embody the heart of Tacos Porky, making every visit an unforgettable experience. So, if you’re in Miami and looking for a spot that serves delicious tacos with a side of amazing service, Tacos Porky is the place to Be!
Finally got to try their food and they are DEFINITELY worth the hype. Best Al pastor tacos I've had in Florida and it's not even close. Chicharon is amazing as well. Can't wait to go back, as often as possible. Better to go with someone that can wait in the car cause parking can be tough.
Most authentic taco in Miami area, as someone who lived in Mexico one year and half - certified! The food is incredible! They make all salsa and chile in house, roasted right on the rack!
Amazing food, the taco's al pastor and mexican coca cola were lit. I didn't like the carnitas that much but it was prepared great eitherway. I ordered two pastor, and one carnitas. They were all reasonably priced, they even let you serve yourself free guacamole for your tacos, glad I came back to visit it.
Los mejores tacos en Miami, sabor mexicano auténtico, me hacen recordar a casa, gracias por existir😍
Si quieres un taco al pastor 10/10 , literalmente está en otro nivel. El sabor es top top y repleto a más no poder
Tacos El Porky is a pleasant location with really good tacos! Mouth watering options from Pastor Taco to the carnitas and the Gringa. Don’t expect much for great atmosphere but do anticipate one appetizing meal! The food is why you’ll come here. Great service and skillful display of cooking. The cook is a true pro as he cuts pieces of pineapple off right into the taco. 5 stars just for that! Get to El Porky it won’t disappoint. 4 out of 5 stars ⭐️
Food was very tasty and the service was outstanding. I am not sure of the girl’s name that was working, she said she is from Venezuela. She was so fun to interact with and super friendly! It may be because we are from the Midwest and perhaps everything is a lot more expensive here in Miami, but the charge was outrageous for the quantity and quality of food provided. Aside from that, great place to grab a quick bite!
Great tacos prepped and served on the spot. Although the tacos are a little pricey at $4 for something you can finish in 4 bites, their taco Tuesday deal prices their main tacos at $2 a taco, a great deal. The meat tastes fresh and is very flavorful. The service is great with staff ready to attend you upon entering the store. The restaurant itself could be a little cleaner (aka dirty tables and unorganized chairs) but the product itself is great!
Casual downtown taqueria specializing in tacos el pastor. Delicious, seasoned, moist pork sliced off the spinning trompo for each and every taco, served with the correct condiments that make it an "el pastor". Each taco, although small, is full of flavor with the pork onion, salsa, cilantro and most importantly, the pineapple! Quick service, and happy employees. My only wishes, a few more selections of tacos and open for lunch would be great additions. But what they do, they do well.
We got the Al Pastor and Carnitas did not disappoint. The green sauce on top was really good! As someone else has mentioned you come here for the food. It was easy to order off the iPad. I wish they had napkin canisters out along with diff hot sauces but napkins were provided once we asked. Also the tables were not wiped down and looked really unappealing. They did wipe it down once we asked. I think service could’ve been better. It’s located downtown, so be mindful of parking and having to walk to it.
Unexpectedly good. One of the "hidden" places in plain sight that when you look you get a little skeptical, but please go and try their tacos, you won't regret. Their nachos are fresh and crispy and their guacamole is simple and savory. Great place for a mid afternoon lunch.
Edit: hey, thank you for replying! I will totally continue going, your pastor and chicharrón are great! As a Mexican (chilanga) I'd rate the tacos as a 9/13, but as a Mexican living in Miami I do give them an 8/10. This is mainly because when you ask them "con todo" I expect the pastor to come with onion and cilantro and a piece of pineapple. Lime AND salsa on the side. Here they not only put the salsa in (what if I really want green instead of red?), but they add some sort of creamy ranch like dressing to it, like what??? But really, the pastor meat is great and it is made properly in a trompo, the tortillas are smooth and tasty - just right, and what I honestly wasn't expecting was the awesomeness of the chicharrón. Last but not least, minus a few flies and some grubbiness (it is spanking clean), the place totally looks like a Mexican street taqueria. Edit 2: you'll see some people complaining about the included tip plus a line for tip, this is common practice in Miami. If you don't like it you can say something and/or not add an extra, but it is not particular to this place not worth less stars. Food in this town has gotten super expensive all across.
Buenos tacos , pero el lugar se ve algo sucio y descuidado . Las mesas de afuera sucias , tuve que limpiarla yo mismo .
Came on Taco Tuesdays and yes busy of course great price true but the tacos para mi estaban muy salados. Im a huge fan of puerco meat but this was too much for me personally. Grabbed the avocado and chips and the avocado perfect but the chips bien tiesos. Las salsas están ricos no pican. El lugar esta más o menos no es lujoso pero será los colores pero se mira sucio.
Kind of a hidden place, they did have a sign outside advertising a taco deal. We went inside, it was small and minimal, two employees present - one for checkout and one for cooking/prepping the orders. Pleasant service, but you could tell they were bored there. Easy to order from the menu or really the tablet they have next to checkout/payment. A decent variety of tacos, so we ordered 4 total, and 2 cokes and 1 chips and guacamole. The dining area was small, maybe a handful of tables, ours wasn’t cleaned. Minimal wall decoration, mostly red logo/painting on the walls. There is however, a nice clean sauce area with 6-8 variety with plastic containers/lids provided. The food came quickly, tacos were decent, nothing spectacular or terrible - but we were hungry!! The chips and guacamole were not fresh - stale chips and pre-packaged guacamole from their fridge. Yikes…plenty of other taco places around, best go there! Overall OK, not recommended.
I was very excited to try this place and it was a huge disappointment. The torta was dry and the meet was off it was carnitas but it was chunky pork. The pastor was ok but not great. We ate outside and there was a huge smell of urine.
Disappointing Experience at El Porky I’ve been to El Porky several times in the past, even though I don’t live nearby. Unfortunately, my visit yesterday will be my last. I returned because a friend mentioned they had introduced a new menu with carnitas and other options I miss from my home country Mexico. I ordered a variety of tacos—pastor, carnitas, ribeye, and tripa—to try the new offerings alongside one of their classics. The good: The tortillas and the pastor tacos were excellent. The bad: The carnitas were a huge letdown. Dry, tasteless, and nothing like authentic carnitas. There are better alternatives elsewhere. In the past, I’ve recommended this place to many, bringing friends along to enjoy what used to be a great spot for authentic tacos al pastor at a reasonable price. However, the value has declined—the tacos now feel overpriced considering the quality of the food, service, and overall experience. I’ve even catered tacos from here for my parties, hoping to support a business I wanted to see succeed. It’s disappointing to read hostile responses from the management in other reviews, which prompted me to share my honest experience.
Walked to eat here for lunch, upon attempting to pay there was a service charge included, I asked them to take it off and he said that it’s required included by the system I asked what for and he couldn’t explain. I did not eat here, out of the principle. Edit: In response to owner: Not even your response is clear, being clear with the price means pricing stuff what it actually is, adding an extra 15% is a deceptive anti consumer junk fee. I wouldn’t ask you for a fifteen percent discount because of hard times or because my dog had operation. If you want to improve communication raise the prices by 15%.
Not recommended at all. This place does not have anyone who speaks English. Everyone speaks Spanish, from the cashier to the meat guys at the serving counter. I couldn't even really order what I wanted because they didn't understand me or my coworker. The food options are limited, for a place called Tacos, I thought I'll get some type of variety when my coworker suggested the place. The only meat you can have on your taco is pork, the tacos are more so Flatbread that you have to tell them to heat in the oven for that crunchy taco feel. Fillings you cannot change up or switch out, it has to be exactly what's on the menu. I asked for tomato to be added and the cashier in broken English said we no tomatoes. Lol, I almost broke out laughing. Geez thanks. The sign outside said 2 tacos for 2 dollars. I could 2 plus a medium drink and was charged 9 almost ten dollars. Do not advertise on an outside menu of a menu item being a great discount just to be overcharged at the cash register. You are not in any Latin American country, as a Miami native I know firsthand how unfair it is to go to a restaurant to try out new food just to leave because the menu was like Tacos el Porky with everything written in Spanish. Good thing a woman behind m translated in Spanish what I needed to the cashier. Co worker gave this place 0 stars as well. Will not be returning. This is the response down below from the owner about my review Eat here at your own risk. This owner's more spicier and flavorful then their tacos. Good luck, I still give 0 stars: Hello, thanks for stopping by. Our place is not called “Tacos” it’s called “Tacos El Porky” and we serve exactly that- PORK. The tacos are not “flatbread”, they are made with tortillas in their originaltsoft form, like in Mexico. We are sorry you misread our poster outside which states $2 Tacos on Tuesdays and also our menu which has ALL the descriptions in English. It seems like you were looking for TEX-MEX and you definitely chose the wrong spot. We do not have and will never have tomatoes, lettuce, nor sour cream on our menu.
I am going to be honest . I love the food here but trying to charge someone 75 cents for a flour tortilla upcharge a taco is crazy. The ladies are very nice but this place has been bad at just overall service to the client. No more taco Tuesday either???? That’s so sad. You all have real potential but your greed is holding you back. I hope that you also paid the employees before who had not received their wages.
Estacionamiento: Zona complicada.
