Guyot Milano Reviews
Having tried and love the classic Milan risotto, was excited to try Guyot's different variation of this dish. Got the prawn and zucchini cream risotto and parmesan risotto with porcini mushroom and pork sausage and they didn't disappoint as both were really good. The sliced beef was good as well, juicy and flavorful. Every component was executed very well.
Exceptional staff. The food was the most delicious we experienced in Italy. Our compliments to the chef. This meal was definitely a highlight of our entire trip.
We had a wonderful dinner at Guyot. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, with a warm and welcoming vibe. The service was excellent — very friendly and attentive, and we received a great wine recommendation that perfectly matched our dishes. We had risotto, which was beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and served in generous portions. From the starter to the dessert, everything was spot on — and the tiramisu was honestly the best we’ve ever had. Prices are on the higher side (around €30–40 per portion), but the quality and experience absolutely justify it. Everything was perfect — we’d definitely come back and highly recommend it!
We walked downstairs into this beautiful restaurant with exposed brick walls and wine racks floating above. We came for the risotto and only the risotto. Milanese with Veal Chop and Chianti Risotto with braised meat. We were given breadsticks whilst we waited as the cooking time was around 45 minutes. Both arrived hotter than lava but very tasty. The chianti risotto wasn’t the prettiest to look at but we weren’t instagramming these. The bill came to €75 with a glass of wine each.
A true hidden gem. Searched for best risotto in Milan near Cenisio/monumentale area (where I stayed) and came across Guyot. A charming restaurant at the basement level with friendly staff. Amazing starters (we had the parma ham and cheese), the Milanese risotto was lovely, chianti version too. Tiramisu to die for. The wine selection extensive too. Price is reasonable for the quality.
The cheese & charcuterie plate was incredible! The ossobuco & risotto alla Milanese was 🤌 top notch! Be sure to come here hungry the portions are huge 💪🏻 Very cosy place located in the basement! Beautifully presented bread basket & wholemeal grissini! Be sure to book a table here place was packed when we left at 20h45. Recommended!
Lovely place, great atmosphere and delicious food. Romantic and also perfect for meeting with friends. The house specialty is Risotto, however entrees are great too and their polenta is soft and creamy, one of the best I’ve had. Wide choice of Risotto and the portions are very generous. Good choice of wine. Service is professional and friendly. Recommended.
Amazing!!! This restaurant is beautiful, intimate, and delicious. We ordered the mixed antipasti, risotto with mushrooms and sausage, and risotto alla millanese with veal chop. Everything was excellent. Our server was very helpful and picked a wonderful white wine from Venezia. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food was sublime. Best (and last) meal of our trip to Italy.
This was such an amazing dinner for our last night in Italy!!! We walked in and the restaurant was beautiful and inviting. The service was so friendly and welcoming. Then the food was incredible!! We shared the meatballs in tomato sauce and bacon wrapped goat cheese which were both so good. Then we had the tris risotti which was the Milanese risotto, Chianti risotto, and broccoli cream risotto, and all three were delicious. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant because it was one of the best dining experiences we had in our 2 week trip in Italy.
Cozy Italian restaurant with the most romantic ambiance. Service was stellar and the food was incredible. Highly recommend risotto Milanese, meatballs, and the polenta tasting. Each entree had recommended wine selection as well which was spot on. Would definitely visit next time I’m back in Milan!
EXQUISITE ATMOSPHERE, an underground restaurant with dimmed lights and calm energy is definitely a go-to for a chic dinner with friends and family. I’ve been here more than once, the staff was always very polite and helpful, you can definitely trust their choice of wine. The menu is quite vibrant, with many to pick from in both food and wine. The risotto was the best I’ve had in Milan, especially the option for 2 people of veal and Milanese risotto with saffron. I had one of the best meals of Milan in here so far, I definitely recommend for a nice dinner. The prices aren’t too high for Milan, and worth the experience for sure. You’ll need to reserve from before, otherwise it’s really hard to find a place, especially on weekends.
Exquisite restaurant nested in a cellar. The decoration is neat, the staff very friendly and the food...AWESOME ! We had a pumpkin flan, the meatballs, and two risottos served with two glasses of wine and finished with two coffees. The quality of the food is fantastic and the portions very generous ! We will be back for sure !!!
Frankly one of the best Ossobucco’s Alla Milanesa that I ever had, and without the consequences as it was GF and the rice DF. I have no idea how they made it so authentic that way. It’s comparable to some of the best ones in Milano during my non-gluten-free days before I discovered I had Celiac. This place is apt for anyone who’s a foodie regardless of their food intolerances.
Before setting foot in Guyot, we did not know that type of restaurant even existed. Guyot is a risotteria – the cue is in the name. There are quite a few restaurants in the Porta Garibaldi neighbourh…

During a long stay in Milan we ate dinner here twice, and both times it was very good. It’s a limited menu , focussed on rice and meat, so you know what you’re in for if you go. We judge a place by…
Had dinner at Taverna Guyot and really enjoyed it. The risotto was full of flavour - creamy, rich, and perfectly cooked. The place has a warm and rustic feel, makes it great for a relaxed evening.
Guyot was one of first experiences in Milan and was the coziest. We were seated in a nook in the back as we arrived early in the evening. The overall vibe is traditional and comforting. We started wi…
We arrived with no reservation and managed to get a table, but the glasses were pretty dirty. We asked about the gluten free options and after being told everything was gluten free, i tried to order pasta, and they said the pasta was not gluten free. We ordered pork with potatoes and it was good, not remarcably excellent. After getting the bill we were confused over the 12 euros added and thought it was the tip, but realized it was for the napkins, water, glasses that were being washed, but i thought it was and excessive amount, as it was 20% of the original bill.
