Ricci Osteria Milano Reviews
A wonderful place with the MOST delicious food. Being an Apulian myself, I can recognise quality and attention to the tradition and innovation at the same time. Delicious but light dishes, very good and wallet-friendly wine, cozy atmosphere... What else? The chef, the manager, the waiters: all of them are lovely pieces of a original puzzle where you can find peace of mind and good cuisine. Being a vegan, I found no issues whatsoever. Absolutely suggested!
Had the cappello del prete (braised beef) and it was sensational - no need for a knife to cut it! The antipasti were also amazing. Highly recommended place!
We had a great dinner at this very wonderful restaurant. We had the Burratta and the beef tartar as a starter. Both were amazing and delicious. We had the Seabass fish and the (elephant ear) pasta in Pomodoro sauce and it was delicious as well. We highly recommend this place for a nice quiet evening with some good wine. The owner and the staff were superb.
Overall a very pleasant experience, tasty food and wine, good service, cozy terrace. We took the slow cooked beef chuck and baby octopus stew as main courses - both were perfect. The prawn carpaccio starter was tasty as well but the portion was too small. Fried zucchini flowers were unfortunately overfried.
Food was unbelievable and the setting is a quaint neighborhood spot. Gracious, friendly staff. All speak multiple languages. Wallet friendly wine list. Pasta, meat, seafood and veggie selections. Cute outdoors if u can grab a spot! Cost included split a salad, a pasta and an entree.
BEST PLACE IN MILAN! I love this place because i felt at home! Food is wonderfull and a little beat crazy: seems like nature grows in the plates 💚 Reason 2: their plates taste is busta like my mother plates so no words! No comments needed for the pics! Service is sublime Thank you Osteria Ricci for feeding me so often✨
I had the best experience at Ricci Osteria! The food was absolutely incredible—everything was homemade with such care and authenticity. You can truly taste the passion in every dish. The owner was so welcoming and made the experience even more special. If you're looking for amazing Italian food with a warm, inviting atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Simply and pretty #osteria, decorated in a modern style, located between Corso Indipendenza and Corso XXII Marzo. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, ready to explain every dish and ingredient. The food is flavorful, from Puglia's traditions, and served in generous portions. I highly recommend the Ricciola Tartare and the eggplant #Parmigiana! The price-quality ratio is good, with the cover charge justified by #homemade products. Note: the cost of water and coffee, however, is out of line with the rest of the menu. Great flavors and #friendly people... in other words, definitely worth a return visit!
Great experience in this restaurant! Food is fresh, creative and really tasty. The staff is so kind and polite, always explaining the plates and able to help and give good suggestions. The ambience is also great, the deco is simple but has a special touch of elegance. I highly recommend it!
I could write a novel about this place. A very long, detailed review is necessary for such a place. But rather than that, I’ll just say it’s the pinnacle of cuisine in Milan. Yes, it’s not the typical food of Lombardy, it’s from Puglia, but the quality and presentation cannot be beat nor replicated. We made a reservation for Sunday in Puglia, a lunch special with set courses and some wine and espresso. Everything is obviously so fresh. But more than anything, the servers were incredible and even the (slightly obnoxious manager/owner) old guy out front was tolerable. Couples and groups trickled in throughout the afternoon. Interior is so well designed. Every inch and moment of the experience is curated here. Well worth the expense, bravo!
Ricci Osteria was one of our favorite restaurants during our trip to Italy! We were welcomed with prosecco while our table was being prepared. They were very accommodating of my gluten allergy, and give me gluten-free bread and recommended dishes for me. I had the Beef "Cappello del Prete" which was one of the best dishes I've ever had. My boyfriend had the orecchiette with broccoli and loved it. Overall, the service was great and the spot was really lovely. We would recommend the restaurant to anyone traveling to Milan!
Fabulous dinner in a great neighbourhood. Massimiliano and the team were incredibly attentive, solicitous and gave us great recommendations. Come for the orecchiette - which my New York friends were too happy to try - really stay for the incredible spread of antipasti, the warmth of the staff, and the great wines. This is now going to be one of my staples in my hometown! Grazie!! ✨🙏🏼✨
I went there by mistake and end up pleasantly surprised. I am a journalist and I travel a lot and love to eat local. Massimiliano, the host was amazing, he gave us a table immediately. Service is excellent. Cozy place, very intimate. Food was out of this world, you can spot right away the hand of a famous chef. Orecchiette, hand made pasta, were excellent. The meat, polpette were exactly like my Nonna’s. Affordable prices, top quality and interesting wine list. Total “pugliese” but with a modern touch. Will go back for sure. Highly recommend it for a visit if you’re in Milan.

This was a wonderful restaurant that was able to accommodate a large group with all of the challenges that come with it-- changes to seating, size, and menu preferences. They did so with ease and kindness. Many dishes were wonderful like zucchini blossoms, steak tartar, eggplant parm and the sea bass. Pastas and gnocchi were pretty good too. We appreciated all of the accommodations they made for our group.
This was our last meal in Milan. We didn’t have a reservation but they welcomed us anyway and were very friendly. The food was very nice, although I would’ve wanted the portions to be a bit bigger. The fried zucchini flowers were the highlight of the meal for me. Eggplant parm was really good and you can taste the fresh ingredients. As for the orecchiette, I had higher expectations. I didn’t hate it, but I thought the dish could use a lot more flavor.
This was one place we reserved months in advance after seeing it in a NYTimes article. It’s a very nice place definitely off the beaten path but not so far that it will cost more than $30 euros for …
