Great breakfast place. Food is always hot, fresh and a alot. Well worth it!
I went a bout two weeks ago with my grand babies and we loved everything on the menu
When they take your order you get it super fast
My first time visiting this restaurant. I found it very clean, nice and service was great. The food was delicious with a good portion. I will visit this restaurant again.
Nice little breakfast spot, if you love breakfast go here. Whether it’s a date with a sweet lady or strong gentleman…or family. Doesn’t matter good people good eats.
Very friendly and food is very good
Every time. I go there. My hash Browns are either raw.Or burnt and the scrambled eggs aren't very scrambled. You could see the whites and the yellows.Someone needs to teach them how to cook
It's a great place. I go there quite often. The food is wonderful. The service is great. You won't regret it.
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Good food, nice atmosphere, and friendly waitresses. Expect to spend about $25 per person. I think that it is worth it. If you are looking for a place that's inexpensive, try Jack in the Box.
We don't get over here often but when we do it never disappoints. Love it, the food and the help.
First time there, amazing experience. Food came out super fast and was delicious! Service was great as well, servers were attentive and checked in frequently in case we needed something. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
Great breakfast, great sized portions, you get what you paid for.
When I'm in Modesto, I eat at My Garden Cafe in Modesto, CA. The food is fantastic, the staff are fabulous. Best part, best breakfast in town. They know how to make gravy and biscuits. I love the owner Lisa. She is a sweetheart. When I come home in August, I'll be sure to eat ay My Garden Cafe.
Been a couple of times now and have been very satisfied with everything we got. You must try the chocolate gravy, I know it sounds weird but really good.
Nice breakfast place here. All your standard options from skillets, omelettes, oatmeal, waffles to coffee and orange juice. I got the farm house skillet. It was pretty good! The waffles are huge! And the coffee keeps on coming. Attached are some photos of the menu as well as the skillet that I ordered.
Had a good time here. Service and people were amazing. They are persistent with customers. Also brought out all condiments and dressings before the food came to the table. 5/5
Quaint little spot with a home like feeling. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was awesome. Drove from Merced to dine indoors and they did not disappoint. I'll be a return customer.
This was my third time eating at My garden Cafe. I stopped in for breakfast by myself and had the ribeye steak breakfast special. Alyssa helped me and was nice and pleasant, and the food was of course as good as it looks in the photos.
We love this cafe. It has a large variety on their menu. Old town cozy feel with lots of seating. We like booths and they have a lot!! Clean restaurant. They have great food. Our omelettes meals were delicious!! We went to the Modesto, Standiford Avenue location. Tiffany was our waitress. She was so friendly and cheerful and got us our food quickly. She attended to all our needs. The other staff were also friendly. We would highly recmmend this cafe!!
Great place to come and eat. Nice friendly staff, fast service and food was great.
Tully Rd location the best IMO. Never a bad meal. Staff super friendly. My favorite Joe's Original eggs, and pecan bacon waffles.
We just found this restaurant. We’ve been to the Standiford/Tully location several times now. We have not been disappointed. They have a large menu and everything on the menu is available all day. I had the South of the Border tri-tip sandwich with a side salad and my husband had the Enchilada omelette with tater tots. Both were very good. We would recommend.

What I ordered was phenomenal but my wife's order was a bit of a letdown. Nothing that can't be easily fixed. The decorations were fun and the service was great. The waitress was hospitable and friendly. See our review on Instagram. @flavors_of_modesto_209

Someplace we always visit and come back to. Great food,Great employees. Steak specials are to die for.
Awesome service. Servers are amazing foid is delicious. The food is so good my daughter had them cater the reception at her wedding.
I would like to have offered 5 stars, but that's not possible with plastic barriers around each seating group. Still, the food is as expected, good, but the service and attitudes are the joy in this place, here is where expectations are exceeded. They know the barriers can be a polarizing feature as views differ about them, their use, their effectiveness in the reduction of the transmissible virus in a indoor eatery. To not see others around you is for some, welcome, so said an elderly lady across the aisle. So, no judgement here! It's been packed each time I have been there for lunch with customers of mine, looking for comfort food, good predictable comfort food. Well done
The food is good and the service is fair. The prices are on the high side for what you get. My friend and I ate there the other day and had a cup of soup and a half of sandwich and the bill wad around $22 dollars, I did have a soft drink as well.. I felt a little pricy for what you got. I have eaten there several times and will do so again because it is handy and close to me. The breakfast there are very good as well.
A good place for breakfast and more. I tried the chicken skillet and it wasn't greasy like Dennys which looked healthy and fresh, so that was a plus. The portion size was huge and I almost didn't finish it. They have shower curtain type around the tables for covid purposes so it kinda looks weird sitting surrounded by plastic tarps.
Now its getting better 😋. Service has always been great 👍 on our last visit 3.14.21 Sundays are busy so expect that a d respect the short wait because its getting worth the return visits
My Garden Cafe has updated their menu and added Loco Moco and Chilaquiles and forgot what the third item was. The Loco Moco was okay. I think what would make it stand out would be to swap out the brown gravy with the white gravy. The eggs on top ..even though the tops of the sunny side up eggs were cooked, the yolk in the middle was still runny - just the way I like my yolks. So, being adventurous and curious which location is the best.....ROAD TRIP. It took over 2 months since I didn't want to eat @ My Garden every weekend. We managed to visit and eat at all the My Garden location. Verdict? Hands down the food (big thank you to the chefs), wait staff - the Standiford location is THE BEST! Let's take a moment to reflect on the other locations. The other locations had in inconsistency with their ranch - some places it had too much buttermilk or too salty. I am sure there is a recipe they're supposed to follow. There are three things that make My Garden on Standiford stand out...the food, the staff and that homemade jam. I love the fact they add new things on the menu like the Crab sandwich and Crab salad. I have had various breakfast and sandwiches and nothing for me to gripe about. Also try their FIREHOUSE BURGER. It's a little spicy thanks to the sliced jalapenos in the burger , but DAMN good! I did wish the Standiford locale had iced coffee drinks like the one off Coffee. Speaking of that, where else can you get breakfast while your car gets a wash and detail? Right!
I'll have to say that I was quite surprised with the speed service. I ordered a Jack's Special with Biscuits and gravy, it was out within 5 minutes. No joke. Anyways that's about the only good thing about the food. Quality is subpar (think IHOP). It's clear that they put an effort into making good food but it was just average. The waffle was good sized but also very meh.. Also, the price 💲💲💲 for the quality is 👎 Upside is service. The ladies working as both servers and bussers are both attentive and friendly. 10/10 in that area. Overall it's a nice spot with a good atmosphere and mediocre food
First time coming here for breakfast. We ordered the chili Verde chilaquiles and a crab sandwich. Tech ridiculous were decent. Wish they had a little more pork. The crab sandwich was very good. At first bite I felt like I was in Monterey or San Francisco wharf. It's light and airy and very flavorful.
I decided to come here for breakfast after seeing pictures of the pancakes 🥞 and they are delicious! The pancakes came with butter and maple syrup. I had the country fried steak & gravy with scrambled eggs and country potatoes. The gravy was delicious with all the right flavors. Normally, I would have a biscuit with gravy but opted for the pancakes instead. Next time I will try a biscuit with gravy. I had Apple juice and black coffee. All the employees are very nice and friendly.

This is our normal Sunday breakfast place that we go to every Sunday before the church crown (unless we are out of town or sick) The last 2 times we have been sat just to the left when you walk in and got stuck with the same waitress. Isn't our first choice. She doesn't listen when we order. Last week my husband asked for hash browns, when he got his plate it had the other potato's on them, she brought them on another plate but acted like we were bothering her. She forgot the sugar free syrup twice. My eggs were blah. Yesterday we went in and were seated in her area again. She was rushing us on the ordering, kept walking by while we looked at the menu, She brought the pancakes on the smallest oval plate so of course it made a mess. She forgot the extra butter that was asked for as well as the sugar free syrup. Then.. as she was rushing around and finally brought the correct items, she brought out check.. Really! that absolutely irritates me when the check is brought and we've had our meal for 5 minutes. What if we wanted to add something else or place an order to go for someone? Net time we go in, we will ask to go back to sitting either on the other side or where ever she is not working. Or, just may have to find a new Sunday breakfast place.
This place is interesting. The hours are a little odd so check before going. The atmosphere is like your sitting in your grandmother's kitchen complete with photos of family members you don't recognize. Not the cleanest place but I've seen worse. Might just be dated. Prices are okay. Food quality seems to be hit or miss. I liked my dish but hubby's wasn't great. Staff was sweet.
The food here is amazing, but unfortunately the same cannot be said about the service, which is why I am rating it three and not five stars. Having a good waiter/waitress makes up half of the experience of a restaurant, and so obviously after waiting thirty minutes to order after she initially took our drinks, I was not very satisfied with my experience. The food was pretty quick to come out compared to other restaurants, and like I said it was extremely good so it was definitely worth the prices they had them for. If it weren't for the food though, this place would have gotten one star since my waitress had to make multiple trips because she would never stay in place for more than two seconds to hear what I was asking for. On top of all of that, my drink remained empty for the entire time I ate and it was never refilled, and I wasn't going to ask for more since she never stopped to ask if we needed anything. It's up to you if you want to take the L just for the food, but I recommend maybe finding new servers who actually seem like they want to be there.

We are routine customers that try to go every weekend due to the great service. However, we decided to go on a weekday on a Tuesday about 2 or 3 weeks ago, and we were very disappointed at our service by Terry. She was not attentive. When we asked for coffee after she did not offer, she poured our coffee and slid the mugs on the table halfway to us as it if it was an inconvenience. It was very rude and inconsiderate as my daughter was in the high chair and she could have easily burned herself because the coffee was close to her or through a spill from Terry throwing the mugs on the table. (Usually all the other waitresses are considerate and pour away from my daughter and set our mugs far from my daughter and close to us.) We asked for creamer and she ignored us. When Terry was serving us, she looked away and never asked if we needed anything throughout our dining. Thankfully, Manuela helped us and stayed more attentive to our needs. My husband and I did notice that this may have been partially discrimination as we are Latino. She served tables around us and was very friendly to the older white folks and super attentive, offering coffee and they did not even have to ask for it like we did. In fact, I noticed that she would demand the cooks in the back what she needed with a rude tone of voice. My husband felt super uncomfortable and did not want to go back on a weekday due to her. My husband and I have always said that a place may have satisfactory food, but if service is unsatisfactory, we won’t go back. We have loved My Garden Cafe’s food and all the other people who have served us weekly. Everyone, but Terry, has treated us well with a lot of love and great service. My Garden Cafe deserves 5 stars (for food and for the rest of the great waitresses), but Terry deserves 0. I strongly think Terry does not deserve to be a waitress if she does not treat all customers equally. No one should feel belittled or discriminated anywhere including when simply trying to enjoy a family meal that one will be paying for.

I want to start off by saying that the food was great. I’m not gonna take away from this restaurant. The only thing I was highly upset about was that there was hair in my food I did speak to someone at the restaurant and let them know about it because I ordered off DoorDash and if the hair wasn’t where it was, then you know, I probably would’ve thought it was mine, but as you guys can see in the picture it was embedded in the cheese
Terry H was our server and she made us feel like we had to beg to get attention she was attentive to everyone else but my family. Came to check on us once and then I asked for a ranch and it took 10 minutes and I had to wave someone else down for a sauce. This place is super over priced $78 for 3 people and that’s not including tip. I wish we came on a day she wasn’t there because the rest of the staff is friendly and nice. Had conversations with everyone else but forgot our table, super unprofessional!! I will not be coming back. Terry H is horrible in costumer service. Side note bacon is always undercooked and eggs.
The place was completely dusty on all of its “antiques” and tables and seats were not sturdy. The food was over priced for the portion and either undercooked or burnt. The biscuits and gravy was awful, dry, and taste very bland. They definitely need a new chef. This place used to be good. I paid full price of $60 for three adults that were not pleased and will not return.
I asked for hot chocolate and it was spilling over. Very messy. I ordered dry toast and it was smothered with butter. My husband ordere well done pancakes. It didn't come right away. He waited 15 minutes for his pancakes after he was already done with his breakfast.
Updating my review. Not sure what happend to this place, but I don't know how people are not complaining about the prices here. So expensive for breakfast. We didn't want to give up on this place, but last week when we ordered two breakfast to go, my husband got a nasty hair all wrapped in his omellete. So disgusting!
Food was terrible! Ordered the New York steak medium and eggs and got dry thin beef jerkey and eggs were runny. Pancakes were aweful too. First time customer and will not be returning.
Our family has been dining at this establishment for over a decade. Unfortunately, in recent months, we’ve noticed a significant decline in quality. The atmosphere feels lacking, prices have increased across the board, and most notably, the level of service—especially from the servers—has deteriorated considerably. While I could provide several examples, the purpose of this message is to bring these concerns to the attention of the general manager or owner in hopes of seeing positive changes. Sheila (morning server), I strongly urge you to reflect on your professionalism and work toward meaningful improvement.
