il Rione Moncalieri Reviews
Since we tried the Nichelino restaurant a couple of years ago with friends and had a great time, we wanted to try the new one in Moncalieri (which replaced the old one in Nichelino). We went there on Sunday for lunch. A beautiful place, on the river, in a central but quiet area of Moncalieri. The pinsas were excellent and plentiful, super filling! The desserts were also truly exceptional. The service was very friendly and helpful. Price for two pinsas, two desserts, drinks, and coffee + cover charge was €61.50. Not cheap, but at least it was excellent!
We arrived without a reservation, and despite the restaurant being full, we managed to find a table. I didn't try the pinsa this time, but looking at the dishes at the nearby tables, I thought it was really good, made with quality ingredients. The homemade bread was also very good. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, the service is fast, and the staff is friendly and attentive to their guests' needs. In my opinion, this place is perfect for a pleasant evening with friends or family. Next time I'll definitely try their pinsa. I highly recommend this restaurant!
This was our first visit to the new location in Moncalieri, which was truly beautiful and welcoming. There's plenty of parking right by the river, and a lovely view awaits. There are several dining rooms, one on the ground floor and two upstairs, where you have to climb stairs. Impeccable service, meticulous attention to detail, and the restaurant manager is truly available to help. We ordered both the amazing fish and the delicious Roman pinsa. The wine is truly top-notch. The value for money is truly enviable, and it's definitely a place I recommend and will return to. They also have special daily specials, which are truly a treat. The ingredients are top-quality: I recommend the mussels with pepper and the seafood calamarata, as well as the pinsa with mortadella, but everything else is delicious.
As a regular at their previous restaurant, I can say that, even in their stunning new location in Moncalieri, I've found the same excellent quality of ingredients that distinguishes their restaurant. The staff is always very professional and friendly, and every time I go I feel at home! The selection of dishes is vast, and the quality is never lacking. The new location is charming, and in the evening, you can admire the Moncalieri Castle, making the experience even more special. Congratulations to everyone, a wonderful family!
If you want to try Pinsa and imagine yourself in Rome...well, we're pretty close! Light and delicious, with classic or more original fillings, either way, delicious! The fried seafood we shared was also excellent, truly fresh and high-quality. A special mention for the artisanal desserts and the apple liqueur, which adds the finishing touch to an amazing dinner. Try it!!
I loved, yummy 😋. Grazie
🇬🇧 One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Cozy, familiar atmosphere, rustic interior and a dedicated working force. High quality products that doesn't give in during the drive home, considering the take away forced situation we're now in. Prices are fair for the quality you're offered. I'm looking forward to eating there as soon as the pandemic is over. Highly recommend. BTW, the neapolitan craft beer they offer are freaking good. Hopefully making an 🇮🇹 review soon.
Pizzas are delicious and staff is super friendly. I got the pizzas delivered to my hotel the crust and the sauce are decent.

We had a great time and had a lovely evening. The pinsa were easy to digest and filled with excellent quality ingredients. The service was very fast and friendly. The place is nice and informal, with multiple floors. One piece of advice, though: change the menus because they're in such a terrible state, almost illegible. The restaurant's identity card should be a menu that's easily interpreted... ☺️
A welcoming place near the Po River in Moncalieri, with plenty of parking. The pinsa I ate was excellent and well-filled. The only downside was that, since I couldn't finish the pinsa, I asked to take it home, and they brought me a take-out box. It would have been kinder to take the plate away and hand over the box with the leftovers, as the table was small and it was awkward to fit everything together. A small touch that makes the service better.
Excellent Pinsa, nothing to complain about, but the service is quite poor: slow to take orders, the girl at the entrance is very polite and welcoming, but it's the same girl who cuts the cakes without gloves, leaving them on the table where everyone then passes by, ditto for the cakes, they're not worth €7!! (There should be few, but good... but here they are so many and messy, and the paper tags on top of the cakes are impossible to see! Unhygienic)... right at the outside entrance there is a small trolley: the napkins are placed low at floor level along with the kitchen tongs (it's not nice), the unhygienic and paper menus, it would have been better to have plastic... €5 for half a liter of water NO MORE!!! For 3 people €85 is quite expensive... even the cover charge is €2.50....
This multi-level restaurant offers Roman pinsa and Neapolitan cuisine. The dining rooms are a bit chaotic. The pinsa is better than the restaurant's dishes, which neither shine nor disappoint. The quality of the ingredients is still good. The service could be improved, as the wait isn't short, and not all dishes arrive at the same time. The prices seem decidedly high for the types of dishes offered.
We've tried this place several times and overall, we've always had a good experience. The location is average, but the interior is well-kept and welcoming. The menu is quite extensive, but their pinsa are a must-try. They're good, especially the filled ones, which are excellent. Special mention goes to the gluten-free pinsa option, available in several variations, all of which are high-quality. The desserts were unremarkable and mediocre. The staff is friendly and helpful. Prices are a bit above average for what they offer.
The thing I like most about this place is they, as a couple, make sure to make customers happy which eventually enhance the taste of the food ( in my opinion)
