Antoca Trattoria Rosa Rossa Moncalieri Reviews
A typical Piedmontese trattoria, they aren't AIC certified but they ensure they pay every possible attention to their celiac customers. Most of their appetizers and main courses are gluten-free by default. For the first courses, they have gluten-free pasta and you can choose some toppings. They also have a good selection of desserts, about half of which are gluten-free. The place is classy and the waiters are very kind and knowledgeable.
We were passing through on a Saturday and it was almost 1:30 PM. We found the restaurant on Google by searching for "gluten-free options." It was a wonderful surprise and a top-notch culinary experience! The portions are small, so I'd suggest adding a few more grams. 😉 The staff and owner were incredibly kind, and the floors were beautiful! We'll definitely be back!
We visited this restaurant on a weekend visit to Turin. The welcome and staff were excellent, very friendly and professional, with attention to detail. The food was excellent; we opted for the tasting menu, sampling various typical Piedmontese dishes. The donkey stew was delicious. We had the apple pie served with ice cream. The presentation of the dishes was also excellent. Great prices for the service provided; highly recommended.
Excellent cuisine, a menu featuring typical Piedmontese dishes, and for lunch we chose porcini mushroom specialties, from the appetizer to the main course... everything was exceptional! The dessert was a real treat. A very beautiful and well-kept location, and the welcome and service were excellent. Thank you, and I will definitely be back with great pleasure 💗
Excellent food, special and refined dishes. Definitely good raw materials. Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Simple but welcoming environment. The only flaw, if you really have to look at the micro detail, the inside of the microfiltered water cap was not perfectly clean. It's nonsense, but it's those silly details that sometimes make you "lose points". But I repeat that I will definitely be back!
Returning from our weekend in Piedmont, we decided to stop in Moncalieri for lunch. We chose this trattoria on the recommendation of my boyfriend, who discovered it during a business trip and had raved about it. I must say, his expectations were confirmed! The restaurant is welcoming and meticulously maintained. A strong point is the arrangement of the tables, which are well-spaced, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The menu offers traditional Piedmontese dishes with a few innovative touches. We opted for: - Appetizers: a pair of veal with tuna sauce and Fassona tartare, and a pumpkin tart with fondue. - First courses: purple potato gnocchi with sausage and a toma and herb risotto. Everything was carefully prepared, with well-balanced flavors and generous portions that completely satisfied us. The service is a bit slow (but I presume this is due to the fact that there are only two waiters who, in addition to serving the table, also have to man the cash register), and the staff are friendly and attentive. The quality-price ratio is truly excellent. A recommended stop for those who want to enjoy traditional dishes with a touch of originality, in a pleasant and quiet atmosphere.
A very nice old-fashioned restaurant, which defines itself as a "trattoria", but in fact it's something more fancy and fine. Their cuisine is traditional Piedmontese, with some nice touches of innovation, especially in the presentation, which is usually really engaging. The environment decoration is not really special, but nice. Very kind people, quick and attentive service.
We ate at this trattoria last night. It's close to the city center, small and cozy but quiet. It has a vintage atmosphere. Service: very good; they brought us a welcome glass of wine and a small entree. We ordered a tartare and two appetizers (tartare and veal with tuna sauce), followed by a spiced/coffee-based braised beef (I don't remember the description) with baked potatoes, while my wife had the fillet with spinach; a sorbet with added vodka, and a half bottle of red wine. We were satisfied with the dishes; everything was well prepared, and the meat was truly delicious. The staff were kind and attentive. Well done! (The only thing, if I may, is that the plate could be a little more "decorated," making the dishes gourmet...)
Very enjoyable Sunday lunch. Atmosphere is great and food is even better!
Absolutely wonderful, authentic Piedmontese restaurant. Highly recommended!! Great service and beautiful, simple spirit!
Best restaurant I’ve tried in Italy
It’s a very nice and welcoming restaurant, situated in a historical characteristic zone, offering the best choices of the culinary Turin specialties, and managed in the best way by Alessandro and his family. Delicious plates, accompanied by a variety of good wines that match perfectly with the tasty food. When visiting Turin, don’t forget to book a table at Antica Trattoria della Rosa Rossa in Moncalieri, Turin, as it’s really worthwhile.
Very nice restaurant. Traditional and revisited recipes from Piedmont. Nice choice of wines and very polite staff.
You can find a wide selection of gluten free dishes and meal. #senzaglutine
We had a lovely lunch at the beginning of July this year while in Torino. We liked a lot the atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff treated both the adults and the children with so much care. We enjoyed a lot the zucchini flowers for the antipasti, and the pasta with porcini while the kids loved the stake. Excellent wines.

For the portions they serve for starters, main courses, and desserts, it's incredibly expensive, almost worth a taste. Otherwise, the quality is excellent and the presentation is original. The setting is historic, simple, but also very chilly considering the local temperature.
Hmm, what can I say... I'm sure that, if only it arrived, the food would be very good. I'd still like to share the experience below: Set menu: typical Piedmontese cuisine, but not the most sophisticated. Small negative: the appetizers were brought first, even though the bread and breadsticks were already prepared and waiting to be delivered. The wine isn't from the best wineries. It's very alcoholic and full-bodied, and it overshadows the delicate flavors of the dishes a bit too much. The time between courses would be more justified if the dishes were more substantial... Entering the dining room at 1:15 PM, let's say the first course didn't arrive until 2:15 PM and the second course didn't arrive until 2:45 PM (I apologize, but I only started timing it after the appetizer.) They were nice, and they brought several refills of tarallucci, bread, and breadsticks to fill the gaps (spoiler alert: it's the most abundant item they'll bring.) Appetizers: tartare, veal with tuna sauce, and flan. Of the three, the flan is the most worthy. First course: risotto with pancetta and amaretti biscuits. DELICIOUS! Very refined flavor and pleasant texture. Second course: Braised beef and sweet potatoes. Good, but not exceptional in my opinion. Dessert: Coffee parfait with chocolate and rum sauce. A "just right" dessert, but not a standout one. Unfortunately, the portions for each meal are still far from satisfactory. As for the venue, the three rooms have terrible acoustics, making it difficult to discuss dessert. All this for €45 per person, which was doable, but more generous servings would have been appreciated for that price.
