Panera Bread Mountain View Reviews
Love Panera for their extensive menu, somewhat reasonable prices (it’s California after all) and quick service. They have a new batch of sandwiches and our group ordered the chicken blt and chicken w/ bbq sauce. Both were delicious. New options include apple instead of chips or another slice of bread. Panera is reliable in the overall quality and taste of its food. No salad order this time, but their salads are always delicious,
Great food, the young man messed up our order. However, when we got our food....it was so delicious! We ordered our dinner there.
Great for breakfast or bringing a pastry for co-workers. They have a nice bread selection, the egg tart is tasty and salads or sandwiches are good. Service is nice. There is an outside place to eat, almost park-like among the trees. Had lunch recently, tuna sandwich had a nice sourdough bread, not dry. Caesar salad was a nice complement to it.
Overall, the customer service is amazing. The self-check out was easy and customer friendly to navigate. There were buzzers available to register our number for our meal. The staff brought us our meal as we waited at the table areas. The hazelnut coffee was warm and fresh. The sandwiches also tasted fresh. The environment is chill, clean and well organized.
The 9/23/2024 Panera Bread 1035 El Monte Ave Mountain View, CA 94041 Went there for the onion soup and got the soup and tuna sandwich combo. It's in a large MTV plaza with lots of parking that can get full. It's a clean and modern setup where you order then get your name called. Service was very good. The soup was okay, likewise for the sandwich. Maybe repeatable.
This place is kinda a mess. The kitchen was slammed so food was coming out slowly, but they had a couple big orders so I understand. My app order for dine in was prepared as to go so I waited extra time due to the confusion. Food was average corporate chain food. Not terrible but not bad. Not a good value for the money. The atmosphere was lively and customers seemed happy. Lots of people using the space as a 3rd place style hang out. I even saw a Scrabble group playing some games. It's surprisingly tight in the walkway which feels a bit constricting but it's a nice place.
Make sure to pay attention when they call names. I had put my first name in at the self-service kiosk and paid with a credit card. But the name they called was my first initial and last name because that's what was on my credit card and that's what was printed out on their order receipt. I was listening for them to call out my first name and they never did. So my food had been sitting there for 20 minutes. The food was fine, even though it wasn't hot anymore. I don't think I'll go back.
We come here regularly - things are generally fine, but the "Mac& Cheese for kids" (about $9 w. tax) is truly expensive - if considering that it is only about half filled of a small bowl! Each time we had to spare something from our adult portion for my daughter (beyond a regular brownie, a bag of chips). In the most recent visit I could not hold it and asked them if they could be a little generous - of course the answer was no! (We ordered adult sized before but that were too much to my 7 year old). Since when US has become of place for me begging for a little more food at a "decent" restaurant?
Honey, let me spill the tea on this Panera situation. ✨👑 Two stars, and that's being generous, sweetie. Now, don't get me wrong, their Sip Club has me living my best hydrated life. Those lemonades and teas? They're giving me life, darling. And those food deals? Mama's saving coins left and right. But the moment I sashayed into that dining room, I knew something was off. It's looking more beat than my face before I put on my lashes. The ambiance? Honey, it's giving "forgotten dressing room at a community theater." And let me tell you about the Mac n Cheese catastrophe. I ordered it thinking I'd get some cheesy realness, but what did they serve it in? A bowl that looked like it had been through more than my wig on a windy day. Dirty doesn't even begin to describe it, sweetie. I'm disappointed, Panera. You're serving looks with those drinks, but this queen needs cleanliness to go with her carbs. Get it together, or this diva might just death drop right out of here for good. 💅🏻🎭
I use the kiosk to order café Chai latte and instead of it giving me just one pump of syrup it added an extra pump so my child latte was extremely sweet with four pumps of sugar. They were reluctant to even apologies or say that the system might have gotten it wrong. The latte was cold, which is not what I was looking for on rainy cold winter day. Next, we ordered a loaf of country sourdough bread they did not even offer to cut it because the kiosk did not have that option. They packed a one and a half foot long sourdough loaf and handed it to me. This is my second experience at Panera, which has been horrible. I went to the Cupertino Panera the lady at the counter had a hard time understanding my order and we went back-and-forth for so long. I’m all for folks being multilingual however, if English is not their first language, I believe they should not be taking orders or be at the customer service and they can certainly help another areas. I finally had to walk away with a dish that I did not really order and I didn’t want to make a big deal about. But after today’s cold chai with four pumps of sweetener and uncut 2 foot long loaf of sourdough bread I will honestly not step into Panera’s again.
I found a big fly in my food. Absolutely disgusting that they allowed this to happen. I have tried to contact them numerous times and through multiple mediums. Phone calls and email and no response or resolution no matter who I talk to, if I even get anyone to talk to. Absolutely ridiculous.
The booth seat divided by a plywood panel, the one closest to the pickup area, was very distracting. A lady working on the other side kept bumping or hitting things against the divider, and I could feel every movement and vibration through the seat. It was really uncomfortable and made it hard to feel comfortable or concentrate. Because of the distraction, everyone in our group eventually moved to a different booth. Please pay closer attention next time.
Food was made with small quantity amount and the bread was hard. Staff (Teresa and Irvin) harassing customers on can't stay for a long time in the restaurant. Mentioned you (customer) Can't use the internet wifi if you don't buy more than $10.00. But I have notices that when their friends, family and race comes in, they're welcome with open arms with free food, free drinks, and of course zero harassing. stay away from this place
DO NOT order delivery, and if you order pickup, check the food to make sure it is what you ordered. Multiple times they have given us non-veg food when we ordered veg food. On Jun 17, we ordered 3 spinach artichoke souffles and 2 of them ended up being spinach and bacon. We are vegetarian by religion (so we don't know it's bacon till it too late). This is completely unacceptable!! Disgusted by how little effort they put into packing orders. What's the point in having "Order checked by:__" and not actually checking and signing off??
Ordered for pickup. I love lady bugs but not in my food. I found a dead bug in my sandwich (top left of picture). That's really gross and I'm questioning their cleanliness... I can't recommend this location... Also the salad was full of dead oxidating leaves... Clearly old, nearly rotting ingredients... *sigh* Panera bread just isn't what it used to be 5-10years ago...
