Bar Iris MURCIA Reviews
Highly recommend Bar Iris! They truly serve some of the most delicious cocktails in town. The ambiance and service is amazing. A special thank you to our waiter, Helen, who was incredibly kind and attentive, she took the time to patiently explain the menu and give great recommendations, which really made our experience even better. Can’t wait to come back!
Hands down the best cocktails in SF and def one of the best in America. Love the beautifully curated menu and what it had to offer. Heavily influenced by Japanese ingredients hence offering a very unique menu of its own. Cocktails were extremely well balanced with flavours, aroma and umami. A sip of The friend of a friend of a friend was no different to eating a bag of toasted chips with its long lingering smoked aroma. Insanely good. Will definitely go back for the Japanese bites or even the Kaisei don.
These cocktails were absolutely delicious! The menu has such a fantastic array of creative drinks that I’m excited to try next time I’m in town. The lighting over the bar was a bit too bright, but the space itself was gorgeous.
Very creative drinks, not all of them hit because of my personal tastes but I have to say they are very unique 10/10 service, they also customize drinks for you Will keep going back until I've tried them all
The cocktails are each individual works of art. The Linda Linda was light and creamy - my favorite combo. You can even make it NA. The Okinawa is fun, creamy and fruity. Perfect for a lighthearted end to the day, dreaming you are on a tropical vacation. The uni you have to try at least once. Complex and flavorful - the richness of the uni comes through without being overpowering. The bar itself is a beautiful, glowing thing designed by Noz Nozawa. It’s my life goal to be able to hire her for my home. A lovely, dark place for a nightcap.
Highly recommend Bar Iris -- the service and ambiance were excellent, and the drinks were phenomenal. The drinks were on the steep end, but it's easy to see why after the first sip.
The cocktails on the menu are like a culinary experience. It’s very experimental. I’m not one to love savory drinks usually but I’ll say that bar iris executed its savory drinks well. The Ninjin Sour’s coriander taste is quite on the tongue, and it feels like I’m drinking a dinner. That said, I find it a very balanced drink. The menu also has less experimental and culinary flavors. I also got the Third Wheel (pictured), which is a matcha based drink and was super refreshing. It came in with a tea cup and that made it a bit more special.
I had an enchanting evening at Bar Iris, where the cozy and intimate atmosphere set the stage for a memorable experience. The attentive waiter staff added to the overall enjoyment. Although we missed out on snacks, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly the exquisite cocktails. I indulged in two rounds of the LEVEL UP! drink, a delightful blend of strawberry juice, pandan, rhubarb, awayuki gin, lemon, egg whites, and the flavorful combination of shichimi powder, which truly enhanced the overall flavor profile. It's smooth not spirit forward which, I truly enjoyed. Additionally, my friend ordered the SORRY, NOT SORRY with a whiskey base, which compliments the creative craftsmanship of the cocktails. The creativity and balance of flavors in both cocktails were truly exceptional. Looking forward to returning for a more comprehensive tasting experience, including the tempting snacks we missed out on. I’m back for the holiday drinks and have this "PUMPKABOO" a warm, comforting cocktail with Kabocha's “Japanese Pumpkin” sweet richness, Pandan's fragrant sweetness, and Oolong's complexity. Iwai 45 whisky and Mugi Hokka shochu provide a spirited kick and depth. Gran Classico adds balanced bitterness, while milk contributes creaminess. Topped with a marshmallow garnish, it's a cozy, indulgent richness. I enjoyed the unique blend of flavors! Cheers to Bar Iris for an evening well spent! Rediscovered the enchantment at Bar Iris last Friday, savoring the brilliance of EMPTY ORCHESTRA – a captivating blend of roasted refreshing drink; DON’T TOUCH MY MUSTACHE creating a harmonious cocktail. MOCHI-AGE’s Japanese tater tots were a delightful fusion of flavors. Bar Iris continues to deliver a short but magical escape into culinary creativity!
Stopped by here on a Saturday with my gal friend and pleasantly sat at the bar with a beautiful ambiance and attentive staff. Ordered/tried various cocktails, which were all exceptional - favorite being Winter Trail. Their food options are light but all super delicious. Wagyu tartare was tender almost melting in your mouth mixed with a beautiful golden yolk to be enjoyed with lotus root chips, which weren't greasy (thankfully). Looking forward to being back to try other goodies from Bar Iris!
Fantastic and creative cocktails—personally loved the Faithful Fool and the Okinawa. This is such a great post-date, late-night spot because it’s cozy and dark and somewhat intimate—but also appropriate for smaller friend gatherings. Great upscale bar overall!
Every single cocktail was unique and delicious ❣️ And they have the perfect ambience for dates :)
My new favorite cocktail bar! I ended up trying every cocktail on the menu and I was blown away by the craftsmanship of each drink. Extremely aesthetically pleasing to look at and the drinks were well balanced. Each drink varies on flavor but you could get hints of fruity pebbles, melon juice, oat milk berry smoothie.
Got the Omakase with two drinks and everything was soooo tasty! Every bite of the kaisendon was an explosion of flavors while the accompanying dishes were also special in their own particular way. Our server was really kind and accommodating too.
This is a great upscale cocktail bar and a wonderful addition to the neighborhood. My fiancee and I came on the opening day. For the first round we had a Wildcard and a Middle Child along with the kara-age, all of it was incredible! For the next round, I had a Japanese old fashioned and she had another middle child along with the uni to eat. It was even better than the first. Would recommend, and will visit again!
one of my new favorite bars in the city. all of the cocktails were balanced and creative, the interior was moody without seeming pretentious and bartenders friendly and knowledgeable. overall, a top tier bar in the city and would try the food next time too! linda linda: probably one of my fav cocktails. creamy and refreshing and not too spirit forward. hidden trail: similar refreshing vibe as linda linda, easy to drink and tasty. loved the slight smokiness of the mezcal. top tier! level up: fresh strawberry flavor and love the spice that hits your lips. tart, slightly sweet. enjoyed this too. okinawa: liked the other two drinks better but this was still tasty. slightly too heavy for me though winter trail: love a good milk washed drink and this one was tasty. felt a little flat though tsukemono martini: personally don’t like martinis so couldn’t finish that one. nice briny flavor from the pickles though

Mellow cocktail bar that just opened on Upper Polk. The cocktails were excellent and I enjoyed the relaxed vibe inside. I tried the Faithful Fool and the Pop Quiz. Both had bright, tasty flavors and were a bit different from what I would usually order. I also tried the kara-age which was quite good. I wasn't expecting to, but I really enjoyed the black curry dipping sauce that accompanied it. Give this place a shot for your next weeknight outing.
delicious cocktails. the food is on the snack side except for the fried chicken whick was really good. don't recommend the grilled onigiri unless you're willing to eat a lot of rice again, loved my cocktail

I think the host name is Gavin, A truly wonderful host with exceptional service. He was warm, attentive, and very personable throughout our experience. It was also great to see the genuine rapport he has with his team — everyone was smiling and clearly enjoyed working together, which made the atmosphere even more welcoming. The food was great but service made it a lot better! A fantastic experience overall.

Nice spot to share drinks and small bites with friends; great dry options on the N/A menu which makes it much more inclusive for those abstaining. Sharable small bites are varied and tasty. Would recommend for smaller groups as seating relatively limited, indoor and outdoor seating available but outside can be a bit chilly.

4/4.5 A chic, modern bar with Japanese-inspired cocktails. Drink wise, this bar isn’t as good as Cold Drinks but it’s solid. Good ambiance for dates but you might have to wait since it’s not super spacious inside. Would recommend. Lol prob too close to your neighbors to canoodle so let’s spare them
Food was an absolute disappointment. This is a Michelin star spot….the karrage was cold upon arrival. We told the server and within minutes brought us back the same chicken boiling, from a second fry. Dry and over greased at this point. Did they think we wouldn’t notice? Used to love this spot but was truly disappointed not loving the new menu change.

Did not feel welcome at all in Iris. Service felt like a chore for the staff. I sat alone at the bar counter for an hour with an empty glass ignored for 20+ minutes, no check-ins from any of the three staff throughout my time despite the quiet night. Even during the bar omakase, the server rushed through explanations without asking about preferences or allergies. When I asked for another drink recommendation the bartender just replied 'everything, whatever your preference is' and I said ok, whats your personal favourite? Then he said I don't drink alcohol and just walked away without trying to actually see what the customer wanted. It really sucks when you get the feeling the staff don't want you to be there.
