Love this place, the beer is great and a decent selection on local wines as well.. food is top notch with attention to those with intolerances or allergies.

Great service. Accommodated my request for pastrami sandwich as a lettuce wrap, since I'm not eating bread. Limited menu if you're expecting a full restaurant level of options for dinner, but a nice selection, given it's a pub. Pastrami was delicious! Not too salty. My friends had the bangers and mash and enjoyed that. Had the soft pretzel appetizer. (My friends enjoyed it, I resisted but it looked yummy). Server was very knowledgeable on the different beers and wines offered. We were all very pleased with our drinks that he recommended.

Hate to just leave 5 stars as it coulda been 6 or 7 stars! The pub dog was a gastronomical delight! Sausage Sammie topped with a rueben, what an amazing palate pleasing ginormous Sammie! Beer and wine selection also abundant and diverse. This place is a find 💯!

We discovered this place last New Year’s Eve on a very rainy weekend. Best pretzels of my life. The shepherds pie was basically the reason we came back this new year’s weekend from 3 hours out of town. This time we also got the bangers and mash and GOOD LORD, if you don’t know Jesus yet, the food here will introduce you. Husband and I cleaned our plates. Bonus points if you catch this place on a dreary day to set the Irish mood.

I got the small salad which was a generous size with a delicious dressing, feta cheese and plenty of fresh veggies. The Irish nachos with corned beef were a treat as well. I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

The bartender who's name maybe Nick? Made us feel right at home. He was a step ahead of our needs the whole time as we sat at the bar and took over for an hour. We laughed and enjoyed ourselves immensely. I would consider that first class service. Ritz level, deep into Calaveras. Will be back for a stouty pint.

The hot dog was the best one I have tasted in years, by far superior in taste from most average hot dogs, I added the coleslaw into and it was . The pretzels were a nice touch too. The beers were refreshing and tasted amazing. Although I'm all the way in Sacramento, I would definitely be making the trip back for that hotdog.

This is a venue worth driving to Murphys to visit. Excellent drinks, attentive staff, and an atmosphere of people including locals and visitors. Try to see the band The Vibes when they play there. Spectacular.

Great beer and great setting outside! It was Thursday at about 6pm and we were able to snag the last table. Live music was at this venue and set the mood quite nicely. Ordered the Mac and cheese for my kiddo and I the shepherds pie with a banger on the side. Food came out at an average time which was quite fine as I was enjoying the ambiance outside on the patio. Kid friendly however there was no more juice by the time we got there and had someone from the kitchen come to our table an proclaim that it would take about 25min to make the kids Mac n cheese. Waited a total of 35min for Mac n cheese to be served to kiddos. Bought the cheesy garlic bread as an appetizer for the kiddos but was not enough to curve there appetite as they waited. Overall service was great and food and drinks were on HIT! 🔥 DEFINITELY stop by and check it out! We chose this spot because it was open the latest.

Second time their oven was not working so we had the pulled pork sandwich, which was great but it was a bit spicy. Good range of beers on tap. Bathroom is tiny but has always been clean. Service super friendly.

The food was good, but the service wasn't. Our server took our order, then came back a few minutes later to ask what we ordered. We both ordered small portions, but it looked full size when it came. We mentioned that when the food arrived and it was verified when we got the bill. Server didn't appear to believe the mistake until she saw the amount of food we were taking home. Does have the feel of a pub in Ireland.

Here for St. Patty's Day weekend. Have live music not even remotely close to Irish music. It's Irish weekend...come on now. They have two hard workers that can't keep up with the crowd. Have someone available to wait on the side tables. Bring some help in. Ordered jalapeño mac and cheese, and didn't get any jalapeños. I'll pass on St. Patty's day in Murphys next year.

We came here after snowshoeing up at lake alpine and the food was mediocre at best. This would be a great place for a good drink and maybe a little snack but go elsewhere for lunch.

Shepherds pie was great, had the bangers and mash a week before which was equally as good. One big issue was they were obviously out of veggies but tried to pass off a few slices of mushrooms and bell peppers with a few leaves of salad mix as their roasted vegetables plate. Then overcharged us $12 for this advertised $4 dish, and since they use tablets or notebooks for charging the bill, it's hidden until you get a copy by email. Also charged us $10 for the cover for the owner's pickup band playing that evening, even though we were eating outside. Pretty shady establishment, and with a variety of excellent places to eat all within walking distance in downtown Murphys, this is one to avoid.

Unfortunately my experience were not like the other’s that reviewed this place. They were fully staffed (6 members on the floor actively) and it not extremely busy, we ordered a single beer for each of us and a couple plates of food but the members seemed to be to busy to server our table. We weren’t served silverware with our food and when we asked for silverware they forgot and left us with our food with no utensils. We had to ask for assistance at our table since the associates walked by multiple times without acknowledging us, and once we ordered it took 20 minutes to get us 4 pretzel sticks that were over cooked but they were still good. The other plates were wonderful as well but the service from the associates could’ve been better. The beer and drinks are great, the atmosphere was great and we were treated more kindly by the live band that was there. I am disappointed honestly but happy that I got to experience it, and can say I might or might not be back to Murphy’s, and still recommend this place to anyone visiting. I just hope your experience doesn’t go like ours did.

Got seated and ordered drinks and appetizers before ordering main meal, 10 minutes later got drinks and after 40 minutes they said appetizers are on the way, after 50 minutes we paid the drink bill and walked out. Never going back, customers walked in after me got meals and left before I got out.

While in town my girlfriend and I stopped by at the Murphy's Irish Pub to have a drink. Fokes be aware!! We noticed a band setting up. After some drinks we got set to leave and I cleared out my credit card. I gave the bartender a generous 10$ dollar cash tip. He never served us, but we talked to him often and enjoyed our quick chats. he was the one that cash out my card. So, as we got up to leave, he said we owe a 5$ cover charge EACH for the band! I was Floored!! We didn't come in for the band!! I decided to mention to him, since his attitude changed, about the two flat beers we just had when we changed brands. He did nothing about that!! He continued to pressure us for the cover the cover charges as we were leaving. We just headed out the door in DISGUST!! We ran into the owner, and I told him our story. He apologized for what happened. He said his staff was untrained because he was shorthanded. Whatever that has to do with cover charges. He was also talking about the cost of the band to justify the cover charge. That was not the issue. It was how they collected the charges after you were already inside. Cover charges are justified if you inform the people before they enter your establishment not after your inside. It gives people a choice before entering. I have never been in an establishment in my life where a cover charge has been asked of me inside. They usually ask you before you go in. My guess is that if the owner got customers inside and they got settled in with drinks and food at their table and was asked for a cover charge its more likely they won't disrupt the evening and just pay it. Sounds like entrapment to me!

I had to give a star to post...but they don't deserve any stars....We Reserved outdoor seating on Friday for lunch on Sunday for 12...got seated indoors instead??? Outdoor seating was all full, so they did not reserve it for us!! Why make reservations??? ended up inside and we were not able to all sit together which defeated the purpose of a group lunch...That sucked!! Food was soooo slow getting to us, some got served within a half hr. or so others waited over 1.5 hrs everyone was done eating by the time the last 2 people were served. (They were 2 of the people who ordered 1st..and were only talking sandwiches !! .Seriously worse service ever. Waitress tried her best. But at the end of the day we won't be back.

Theres very little on the menu. It's very... Casual... And VERY WARM INSIDE. When they first opened last year I was forgiving of the horrible lack of ac and hoped they would change that... It's in the mid 90s tonight and it's much hotter then that inside. What prompted this post was the sign located directly outside which seemed like they tackled this ongoing issue.

ATTENTION , CAUTION Seemed like a happening little spot me and some friends went in for a couple drinks and some lunch, order our food hamburger fried pickles and some bruschetta, ordered a few drinks asked for two crown and cokes and a sex on the beach , was enjoying ourselves eating order another round of drinks every thing was good and till we got our bill and realized they were serving us $55 dollar drinks with out expressing they were serving us out of a $2000 dollar bottle we did not specify what kind of crown so after talking with the manager and letting them know our concern”Hey you should let someone know that’s a high end drink”he told us it not his policy to tell people what they could or couldn’t drink or if it’s high end or not , SO PLEASE BE Careful ORDERING DRINKS FROM HERE !!!!!!

WOULD HAVE LIKED TO TRY IT!!!!!On vacation celebrating my one week wedding anniversary and came across this restaurant and was really excited about trying Irish pub food was greeted at the door by the hostess, who informed that if we eat inside we needed to pay the cover charge for the live band! I was mostly interested in seeing the menu at this time. The server arrived with our menus and told us we would be charged a cover charge and they can add it to our bill, we weren’t there for the music we just wanted to eat and leave I don’t see why they would charge us a cover charge if we weren’t going to be there long. The hostess made it very clear that we could eat outside and not be charged. The male server arrived at our table with the menus letting us know we would be charged 10 dollars no matter where we sat. I am not a broke person I can gladly pay the ten dollars but I don’t like one person saying I could eat with out a cover charge then the next person telling me that I am going to pay to sit outside on a wobbly table on uneven pavement.
