Panera Bread New Braunfels Reviews
Excellent service, good food. Restaurant is clean!
Can’t beat soup and a sandwich with fresh ingredients. Made my tummy feel so good. The restaurant was a little messy at this location but always love the food.
Great service and excellent food. The tables, floors, carpets, and restrooms are all dirty. I watched 2 different individuals do a horrible job of not cleaning off tables. It was like watching a cartoon. The young lady who took our order was superb and the food delicious.
Food is good. We like the grilled cheese and tomato soup
Kenny and her team always go above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service. I love this branch! More power to them! Thank you for doing what you’re doing ♥️
Love the pick 2 option. Had the Broccoli and Cheese soup x2 days in a row! Soooo good and nice and hot when you get it! It does come with French bread to dip it in. But just be aware that bread gets hard pretty quick. I also accompanied it the the Napa Almond Chicken Salad sandwich . The half was enough and filling along with the soup. They no longer serve Hibiscus tea fyi but I did have the Agave Lemonade and that was really good. Ladies at drive thru always nice. My father was admitted at Resolute Hospital down the street and this was a quick drive thru order so I could get back.
Really nice staff!! Fast service and really good food
Food is delicious!, I like the soup in a bread bowl , my kids love the sandwiches. This is one of our favorite places to eat.
I had a nice lunch of a chicken salad sandwich and a cup of broccoli & cheese soup. It was delicious as well as satisfying. I was able to dine in peace and watched as others did the same. Some were reading, others were working on their computer as some dined with others and enjoyed quiet conversation. I can't say I have ever had anything to complain about when going to Panera.
We went through the drive through and the young lady working the drive through was very pleasant. The food we ordered was delicious. I got the Italian roasted sub and my daughter got the bacon avocado melt. We were very satisfied with our sandwiches. Highly recommend 2thumbs high! Thank you
We love ordering Panera on the fly now that they offer pick up via the drive through window. Works well especially when traveling on the road. Home delivery is excellent as well. If you haven’t tried out thru Sip Club, you should. For unlimited drinks and free delivery, it is a must!
The manager Douglas S. greeted me with a smile and said hi. There was a problem with the gift card that was given to me by a friend. He explained what may have been the problem. He was able to get around the problem and helped me with my dine in order that translated to excellent service. I always get the Hot Sandwich Chipotle Avocado because it's so good and the blueberry muffin that is definitely made that day. The atmosphere was comfortable and clean. When I picked my order I mentioned to the employees, "you all have a really good manager". One lady said, "yeah, we all love him". I have no problem recommending Panera Bread Creekside to my friends.
This was my first experience at Panera and it was delicious. Very busy so a little slow, but they handled it wonderfully. I will definitely be back.
I'm relatively new to ordering ice coffee at Panera. While visiting friends in Wisconsin recently, we did that several times at different locations - always the same process. Order at the kiosk, proceed to food pickup counter, receive a cup with the caramel or vanilla syrup in it, proceed to self serve area to fill with coffee, proceed to hot coffee area to add half and half. Well, you would think it was rocket science at this Creekside location. The food pickup counter lady gave us two tiny condiments containers with the syrup, and two empty cups. Someone had left a container of half and half next to the cold brew. How cool, I thought...until I realized a staffer returned it to the hot drink area. Why waste two small plastic containers? Why make customers juggle lots of little things getting ice and coffee and half and half? Just didn't make sense. This story was actually way more complicated with my husband asking for a cup at the cashier and me spilling a cup of ice trying to fill it with cold brew when it was mostly empty and tipped forward when I tried to press the spout handle. Husband had a splint on his hand. Just not a great experience.
I hadn't been here in a while and the Autumn Squash soup had just came out again....I love it! The French Dip sandwich was so good with it! The service I received was fantastic, too! She was so helpful!
I tried several times bagels and coffee. The food has good quality and the taste was great regarding cinnamon and evirithing bagels. Price is fair and I the place is clean and tidy. Plenty of parking so that you won't have any kind of problem with this topic. I took my breakfast there so I cannot talk about the drive thru service. But I had a good time while eating and enjoying my food and drinks. In the early morning is almost alone so you can take a time while heading to work. Definitely I'll go back again.
Ok generally I love Panera.... this is the first time I've had an issue. We rarely eat here because it's fairly pricey, but delish for sure. Today: Delicious as always but for the $15 a plate I expected more than 3 peices of chicken. Sad. The kids loved their pick two, and filled up and then had delicious deserts. Yum Here's where it gets interesting..... On the other hand.... this car pictured is an employees car. After having a smoke break with us on the patio, he walked to his car parked in the front first parking spot, and went to put on deodorant in front of all of us eating. Pulled up his shirt after smoking a cigarette on the patio with us, rubbed some deodorant on and decided to move his car over a few inches to the west, i guess it was too close to curbside? While it was loud and obnoxiously all weird I can't get over the fact how rude he was. I could go a lifetime without seeing his awesome deodorant experience, or ever hearing his compensation car turn on again. The whole experience of food and a show was taken to new levels. Thanks panera, i can not say today was a pleasure. The food was tasty whole small though. I guess the car can compensate for that also. 5 stars only because this is the first time it's been all that and generally the food is good.
I love ordering on the app, pulling up and having someone bring my order to me. My new favorite combo is the 1/2 tuna sandwich and cream of chicken wild rice soup. I previously tried the fast pickup, but there was issues, so I’ll stick to doing curbside or dining in. Other than that, the fresh food is always amazing!
So I've visted this Panera Bread via drive through alot and sometimes the food quality is honestly hit or miss. However today I had an opportunity to walk-in, order food and work from a table and this experience has improved my rating of this Panera. The atmosphere isnt outta of this world for a Panera bread but its generally clean, the food inside was better and fresher, and its just been a good vibe. If you have time go inside and order your food and enoy the calm music and chill vibes.
Food is very good as usual, and while I appreciate their effort to create an order- yourself environment, they still have someone at the counter for old- school ordering from a real person. But, on this visit, I came in to find no one at the counter, as she was in the back doing something else? I stood there for a couple minutes, she peaked out and looked the opposite direction at a group that was ordering from a kiosk, didn't even look at me standing in front of the register, then went back behind the door again. I waited another minute, then I finally knocked on the door to get her to take my order. I was a little frustrated, but got my soup quickly thereafter and enjoyed the rest of the experience.
My only complaint is that I’m a sips reward member and sometimes I just want to swing through the drive thru at 8:45pm to grab my drink quick but they already have it closed even though they don’t close until 9. The front doors are closed too. I feel that they should be open til 9 if that’s their hours.
Young staff member less than enthusiastic about taking my order. 1st time there, and I was asking about a couple of items on the menu. She seemed inpatient even though I was the only one in line. And appeard irritated at the 2 questions I asked about the menu. The food and the atmosphere were great, though. Staff needs more customer service training.
First time here & I got the Limited Spicy Steak Asiago Bagel Stack w a green smoothies & I was beyond impressed such a good meal for a decent price. The bagel did have a kick it isn’t spicy spicy. My smoothie was so good to for the amount of calories it has. The only thing I didn’t like & I hate to say was the tables they leave a sticky residue after being wiped down. This establishment deserves remodeling especially with bucces being a tourist attraction. Side note: my one year old got the white cheddar Mac n cheese and he loved it!
Our experience was great, as always. But I did want to take time to give a special shout out to Donovan! He helped us with the kiosk, single-handed manned the front counter, and was attentive, professional and exceptionally personable. Give this guy a raise or a promotion!!
Food is always good. This time was a bit annoying. Wanted a caprese sandwich but was told they were out of the Bagget bread. Asked if we could swap out the bread for another type and was told no because it’s a specialty item… I’ve worked in food service when I was younger for over 5 years and nothing annoys me more than places refusing simple things like this. I’ll pay full price or even an up charge to have a different bread type, especially when it’s out of my control. Why is using a different bread such a hassle? Just frustrating.
I didn't like the food. It was pretty bland even for a salad but I got a Southwest style salad and the chicken seemed a little rubbery maybe I'm just not a Panera guy that was my first time. Won't go back
Stopped in here for lunch the other day, I've been wanting to try it for quite a while. This one is located in a very busy area but it was not super busy when I visited. Met some friends from New Braunfels who have also never tried it. The first thing I noticed were the nice looking pastries. The girl who took our order was great, helping us as we were newbies. Well, the wait was too long, and the food was not worth the money. It was decent fare, but this place was kind of expensive. They wouldn't let me have my drink before the meal came out. And the girl that gave us our order at the back window really got under my skin. I'm usually patient with restaurant staff, but when I politely told her some items were missing from the order, she had the audacity to tell me that I had already received them! Like I actually didn't know if I had! 😵💫🤐 I could tell that her younger coworkers were uncomfortable with how she was talking to me. But I refrained from telling her off, maybe she had a bad day. I only told her she was mistaken, and to please give me what I paid for. Sorry Panera, minus 1 more 🌟 for service. That experience will not keep me from returning, but the prices might. BTW, the pastries were good.
Panera, when someone orders a BLT they usually want some B on it. I had a ton of chicken and literally one slice of bacon cut in half on my whole sandwich. You got 3 stars because what I did get was good. But it was seriously lacking in the B in the BLT department. Overall not worth the money.
Extremely slow drive through considering there was only one other car in line and there was not one person inside the restaurant! Giving grace because the employee was probably new though since he repeated order multiple times as I was ordering. Food took forever. Bagel was very well done and a different cheese than normal was on both sandwiches which was not good. Possibly they changed the recipe or they were out of the normal cheese and substituted without asking. Not sure but I got the same sandwich in Arlington last week and it was delicious.
Ordered the Bread "Bowl" which is really a cup of soup. I got less than that. Manager says it doesn't always git in the bread... So you are gonna charge extra but skimp on the soup. Didnt bring me my side bc they were out but I had to ask to get anything. Didnt have the dessert I ordered and were rushing me to pick one. The bathroom was nasty and had no toilet paper. DO Not Go Here. Ugh
The lady who took my order was nice. I also enjoyed my salad. But the lady working in the back was rude don't want people to bother you for butter then leave it out. Trust me I didn't want to talk to you either Jazmine.
The staff is overall friendly and helpful. I wanted to wait until I experienced both the drive-thru and an inside order before writing a review. I’ve come to this location and sat inside as well as driven through the drive-thru. The drive-thru order wasn’t as consistent as the in-person order. The tuna sandwich had one tiny spoonful of tuna on it, and they forgot to put butter in the bag I requested for my baguette. For the inside order, my order was made correctly, but the cookie was hard as a rock (I didn’t realize until I was driving away). I ordered soup and mac&cheese for the inside order, so I’m not sure if I would’ve experienced the tuna sandwich problem I experienced during the drive-thru. The restaurant was clean, including the bathroom. I will return.
Just ordered two of the chipotle chickens flatbread and came home to open the box thinking I got the wrong order. Both of the pizzas look like cheese pizzas with just bacon and little bit of tomatoes. There was no cilantro, chipotle sauce, or chicken AT ALL. Very disappointed considering there’s no Panera where I moved too, so coming home I look forward to it. Everyone wants to get what they ordered, not something less. New Braunfels panera has been slacking
Have gone to this Panera for 5-6 years, 2 to 3 mornings a week. Went in this morning, no one in line in store or drive through. What I order was not on kiosk so asked someone to take my order. Was told they were too busy for me. Went to Cracker Barrel, greeted with a smile, asked waitress for something not in their limited menu, told this was no problem they would be happy to make that. So disappointed in my Panera.
I went to Panera today and was disappointed ! The girl at the counter advised me to use the kiosk instead of her taking my order. I got my food ordered and went to sit down. The restaurant was not busy but there were NO clean tables floors were dirty with trash. Customers continued to come in. The lady at the front counter was busy cleaning off tables so she just told them to use the kiosk. I choose fruit as my free item. When I received my order the fruit mainly consisted of cantaloupe l! Currently cantaloupe cannot be eaten because it has salmonella. So I took it back up to the window and told them about the cantaloupe and said y’all should not be serving it! That restaurant needs a lot of help!
I love Panera in general but will never go back to this location. I placed a large order through the app on morning and drove out the to pick it up. When I arrived, all the staff appeared confused about what I had ordered and where it was. They all just stood there and shrugged their shoulders rather than bothering to figure it out. They weren’t busy, there was literally one other customer in the store and that person already had their food. I finally asked to see a manager who told me that they were out of everything I ordered except for one item. They didn’t even apologize. I would never have driven all the way there for just the one item they had. Why didn’t they call to see if I wanted a substitute or still wanted the order? Then they acted stunned when asked for a refund on the items they didn’t have!
I ordered Flatbread after seeing a picture of the item on the wall. However, what was presented to me was a far cry from the picture. I complained and the server said she would have a new one made. When I picked up the order, the cook simply placed more cilantro on the Flatbread. I decided not to complain again because I didn't want the cook to sabotage my food. If they sell a food item and display a picture of that item, it should look like the picture or get another cook. Disappointed customer!
I ordered online, it told me 10 minutes for the order to be ready of 2 soups and a sandwich, it actually took 30 minutes, and they didn't give me 1 of the 2 soups. I was hungry and didn't check the order before I left, and they told me I had to come back to get a refund or the soup re-made, because they were very conscious of scammers. It was my first online order, and I probably am not going to place another one.
The good was great, but I ordered curbside and no one ever came out. I have two small kids and well corona so I wasn't happy. Eventually had to busy go inside and see what was going on. My order was just sitting there, for who knows how long, with no one around even intending to bring it to my car.
I ordered the flatbread pizza for my kids and the whole steak sandwich for myself. The pizza had absolutely no pizza sauce on it, very dry. My kids wouldn’t even eat it. The steak sandwich I paid $11 for had two tiny pieces of steak on them. I pretty much ate nothing but bread. My first time there, very disappointing and expensive for quality of food I received.
Although I mostly enjoy Panera Bread for breakfast only, I have recently been dining for lunch because I like the salads. However, at this location, I have been unimpressed! The silverware is ALWAYS dirty. And yes, I do mean ALWAYS! So much so that I always ask for to go utensils and use them when eating even in the dining room. Today, I ordered Chicken and Wild Rice Soup with a Chinese Cashew Salad. My soup was barely warm and my salad was drenched in dressing. It was horrible. Panera isn't a cheap option for any occasion so I really expect more! Hope they get it together, I was really looking forward to having one close by!
I originally gave this place 4 stars because they are always quick with orders, friendly and I like their food although a bit pricey. However, the past few times they have been inconsistent with the bread they use on certain sandwich orders and a bit sloppy. This last time was it for me though. I went through drive though and ordered a full steak and arugula sandwich with 2 small smoothies. It came out to be $20 which I was kinda surprised at but okay, I drive home (I live right down the road in creekside) and open my sandwich and get a way smaller than usual steak and arugula sandwich on different bread and on soggy bread at that. the soft cheese in the sandwich was just clumped on there. Just so sloppy and disappointing. I expect way for for $10 a sandwich. I could go to subway and get better quality for $7 and way more food.
Too expensive for what you get. 35 degrees outside. French onion soup was cold, cheese on top didn't even melt. You could tell it was old. Wasn't liquidy like a soup. Broth was thick and clumpy. Tried to eat two spoonfuls. Waste. Hope I don't get sick.
This experience seemed particularly petty. I went to the drive to you to pick up an online order. The person at the drive-thru advised only drive through pick up orders could be picked up from the drive-thru(understandable). Since I was already in line and had to go all the way through the line and pass the window, I asked could we make a 1 time exception. She repeated herself along with the supervisor doing the same.comes which I felt was unnecessary I went inside to get order and it was sitting right next to the drive-thru window............ I thought it was a complete waste of time having to park my car and come inside when the order was within arms reach of the drive thru cashier. Certain circumstances would call for such behavior but when it's not busy and my order was small (one bowl of cream cheese) I'm not sure why accommodating a customer would've been such a big deal.
It took a while before anyone came to help me at the bread counter. The girl that was working on Friday, November 1,2024 at lunch time was not much help.I asked if several of sweet bread were rolls, etc and she barely nodded her head yes. She boxed and sleeved my 4 selections and took my lunch order. She dumped my 4 bakery items on the counter. I asked if she would bag them and she brought me a folded paper bag and sit it near my selections and looked at me. So I snapped open the bag and put my stuff in it. I said Since I did not receive any service, I can't believe you expect a tip. What happened to customer service, the smile, the glad you're here to buy stuff so I can get paid attitude?
First and last time for this place. Pecan braid was served at room temperature. When I asked them to heat they directed me to a self service microwave that does not work. The same person had to heat the braid then tested it with back of index finger for warmth. For tea they hand you an empty cup and make your own. No milk for hot English Breakfast tea. McDonald’s does a better sausage egg sandwich. Bread was average. Sausage was below average as was the egg. Never again
I have never ever had a problem with Panera before, I love their food and I love their mission. But tonight was not a good experience at this location. There was a lady working the floor that clearly didn't want to be there and it was extremely unprofessional. That didn't bother us nearly as much as when we got our food. The mac & cheese was cold in the middle!! But it gets better: when we told an employee and asked for a fix we were told "There's a microwave around the corner, you can go ahead and heat it up there."
I think this is one place i liked better pre-COVID. Of course, that could have been because this location is just bad. They have two cashiers/runners who are indistinguishable from the customers. I used the kiosk to order, and the kitchen just never made the order. They tried to tell me another customer took my order, but there were no other customers except for dine-in. It took me over an hour to get an order of 2 chicken salad sandwiches and 2 cookies for takeout. They also got the side orders wrong. I guess it was easier to throw in a baguette than the salads we ordered. The food was fine- we had their chicken salad sandwich. Nothing great, but nothing to complain about besides it being sloppy. 🤷♀️
Used to love this location. Tonight was the 2nd time there were missing items from my order and it was super lazily done. I ordered a half green goddess salad. Only. Came out to over $12. No chicken. No avocado. Egg not cut. No side. So I just paid $12 for a basic side salad. In a hurry I didn't have time to return- kinda the point of the drive thru. So sad. I feel like a lot of the food at creekside has gone downhill. This is a wasted opportunity for tourists staying near Gruene. Please note: pic attached is what this location used to be like. That was the 5 star panera I used to know.
Panera has been my run to for a quick bite. I could always count on good food at a good place. This particular location was the closest to me. Stopped at the counter and didn’t use the self service to order. The cashier wasn’t a pleasant person to order, as if she was doing me a favor. Yet, asked me to answer the usual “quick question” “tip. I did like I do all the time. My food was ready and I went to pick it up. My hot sandwich bread was stale and instead of the usual piece of bread, they placed a second bag of chips with my soup. I asked for bread and I was given a stare. Didn’t wish to get into an argument with my limited time to grab a bite. Ate and left but guarantee won’t come back here again.
Two stars for quality of food but the speed of service here is awful. I’ve been going to Panera for years in different cities in Texas and I’ve never waited so long, even during the lunch rush. Today, my boyfriend and I visited this location and went inside (because most of my previous lengthy experiences have been in the drive thru where once you’re in, you literally cannot get out and could be sitting there for 45 mins on a 1 hr lunch break lol) anyways, we walked in and ordered on their self serve tablets. There were multiple signs around the tablets that instructed us to pick up our drinks at the counter. Immediately upon approaching the counter (as instructed) the girl that was standing there seemed so upset that we would even dare to approach her… she just looked at us, said nothing and we politely explained that we just needed the drinks. The first words she ever said were “medium or large???” But the look on her face was completely disgusted, again. We didn’t know what size we had ordered but we just said medium because I think we were both willing to forfeit further interactions with her. After we went to the drink station, I realized the drink I ordered wasn’t at the self serve area so I went back to the counter and someone was ordering at the counter so I got in line behind them. She IMMEDIATELY started to scowl at me like “ugh what NOW?!” And I just looked down at the ground. When I got up to the counter I anxiously said “hey, by chance are you guys out of the basil strawberry lemonade?” And she said “the what?!” And I repeated myself and she looked at me like I was the stupidest human being on the planet, squinted her eyes and said “we will make that for you”… I thanked her and walked away but felt completely mortified for just asking a question. I feel the details in this review are important for management to determine who should and should not be the face of the business. Because of this, I will not be returning. Chicken salad chick is down the street and they treat their customers with respect if you need an alternative 😉
Couldn't add quinoa to my oatmeal. They wanted me to add the oatmeal, walnuts, and strawberries to the quinoa (each item had an additional charge). This was a rediculous price just to have quinoa. The mango strawberry smoothie I ordered tasted more like mango banana. I asked them to remake it with only mango and both of them were very pale mustard yellow in color and tasted terrible. The oatmeal and bagel tasted good, I just had to eat it without the quinoa. The staff were very accommodating and polite.
Ordered a turkey avocado BLT. The bread is still delicious sliced sour dough, however it was sliced almost as thin as toilet paper. The ingredients were fresh and tasted great, and this is where it goes south quickly: the entire sandwich fell apart on first bite leaving half the contents on my plate. I expected better for the price. Used to get a thick sliced bread, now it appears they are pinching pennys on the bread? Seriously?
Good food but the drive thru here is a joke. I waited over30 mins today to just place an order. They have to figure out a better system
The drive through staff members are so rude when all I want is a drink through the Sip Club and not order anything else off the menu. They act like it’s a hinderance to them to have to only make a drink for my order. That’s the way the sip club works, if you have an issue take it up with the company you work for.
My friend ordered chicken and rice for a mobile pick up order. She was not notified that when she opened the bag there would be broccoli and cheese soup instead. She has an allergy to broccoli and was not even given an alternative option. 0/0 Panera! Also the soup in question cost her $10 and she can't even eat it!
I really don't understand why people eat here. The food is expensive and mediocre at best. Yes, I tried them once again today. I ordered a bacon, tomato grilled cheese first the whole sandwich is very small, it had no bacon in it and didn't seem grilled more like microwaved instead. We also ordered half a chipotle chicken avocado melt which the bread was so burnt it wasn't edible. While the mac n cheese was good, it was maybe 1/2 cup for $5. I spent $27 on a disgusting meal. I know the receipt even says they will make it right, but I went thru the drive thru and didn't check my food till I was away from the place. There are plenty of other places better than here.
Ordered some cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate with my kids and the quality of their food is horrendous. Their hot chocolate is nothing more than hot water with maybe a drop of some chocolate substance, the worst I've ever been so grossly overcharged for. I most certainly wouldn't waste my money at this establishment when there are far superior places with with tasting food at more reasonable prices.
I ordered a soup that’s prob premade and been sitting in a heating bin for hours Why have I been in this drive thro for 15 mins??? Terrible Service
30 minutes wait time in the drive through line. All I ordered was a drink
This is the second time we've ordered food from this location and definitely will be the last. Both times the order was completely messed up. This time we ordered a large blt turkey avocado sandwich. 1 peice of bacon for the whole sandwich and no avocado. Ordered the bunch of bagels which were also wrong and we weren't given the two containers of cream cheese. This place is too expensive to screw up that much and that often.
This location is not very good compared to other Panera locations. I have come twice and they have been out of bread and croutons several hours before closing. It takes a long time to get any food kind that is ordered. They have subbed things on my orders without consent or explanation. It's not worth how much you pay for the level of service and the very disappointing version of food you receive.
We ordered the family feast with Mac and cheese and the girl said that wasn’t on the menu. I showed her the menu on the website and she she didn’t know because it wasn’t an option on the computer. Understandable. But if just saying no. How about we fix it or find away. She just gave us a blank stare.
This is the 3rd time I have visited New Braunfels Panera Bread where they have not included the whole order. Today they forgot to put the chicken in the sandwich I ordered. Previous times they did not include the pickle slices. I keep calling and no answer, I pressed all the option buttons on the phone to Get someone to answer. I have to the one In San Marcos and never had a Problem, excellent customer service. My complaint is for the New Braunfels one. I went today around 4 pm my total was $25.73 They asked if I needed a receipt and I said no. #204462 is on my credit card receipt, I don’t know if it’s a store number or receipt number.
I have had two bad experiences at this Panera in the space of one week. The first was a turkey sandwich that smelled ROTTEN! I called and was asked "do you want another sandwich"? I wasn't given the option for a refund and was already home. I was told to come back when I had time to get a replacement sandwich. Thinking this was a one time fluke, I went back (never again). Ordered a grilled cheese with tomatoes on the side. One tomatoe had a BUG IN IT. This time I was still in the parking lot. I called and told the manager about the bug.. the manager said to COME INSIDE (this could not be done via drive through or phone) for a refund. When I walked in I saw four employees standing/leaning on the counter, huddled together staring at me. The employees seemed like they couldn't care less about customer service or cleanliness during a pandemic. The manager, whos name I didn't get, was a terrible example to his employees. I am disappointed and appalled at these employee's actions, or lack there of. In the end I was refunded for my grilled cheese and tomatoes, not the other items on my receipt. The whole situation could have been handled in a much more dignified manner.
Worst fast food restaurant in all of New Braunfels. I Placed an order online and I arrived at 8:58pm after receiving a confirmation that my food was ready. Instantly I was greeted with "We're closed," and was told they threw away my food," the boy also said they had, "Already reverse the transaction and refunded my debit card". The next morning my 74 year old father called in to ask why he was charged for the food and they proceeded to call him a scammer. This is after he read off the order number among other details to confirm his story. Now they are saying he must print out the order and bring it in as proof and they will remake the order. This place is run by kids and they are rude. I will NEVER eat at another Panera Bread again in my life!
I placed a drive thru order today, when i come, a car is blocking off the entrance to drive thru, i went a different way to the window and 4 employees looked and ignored me. I go inside and ask why the car is blocking off drive thru and the cashier says “drive thru isn’t taking any orders right now because they’re busy, you can order here”. Unacceptable, not a simple email could be sent saying that we’d have to go inside, very inconvenient and selfish. Poor management.
The service was good through the drive-thru. This is the second time I have ordered a soup that is supposed to have chicken, and there is NONE in the soup. When you are charged almost $7.00 a cup, you expect to get what is advertised on the menu, mostly broth with tiny noodles or vegetables; for the price of Panera, you should do better for your customers. I've pretty well made up my mind not to buy anything but bagels from your store. I'm so disappointed.
Update: Tried this Panera again and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, HIRE SOME PEOPLE WHO CAN READ YOUR MENU!! I’ve been here a few times and EVERY TIME there’s ingredients missing from my sandwich!! Ordered a frontega chicken sandwich, there was barely any chicken, nearly no sauce, and was missing two of the main ingredients to the sandwich! These people screw up a simple one item order more than half the time I go there! Was also charged for an extra side of sauce that was not received! So disappointing!! I really wish Panera would hire some workers with common sense to read their menus before attempting to put together a simple order.
Catering/Service manager ALEXIS is very unprofessional. Placed a catering order couple days in advance so that way nothing happens, day of, they deliver my food to a hospital for nurses an hour earlier expecting nurses to eat food that’s been sitting for a while. Saying the soup will be the only thing and that they can send soup. Also had the audacity to tell me I could have picked it up and brought it myself! She didn’t even know where I’m coming from! And if the services are provided…why not? She tried to find all excuses but bottom line is…I’ll never do catering with them ever again! And Alexis needs more customer service training! If she’s an employee with Panera it’s not a good look!
Placed order at 1:30 @ kiosk and finally 2:15 got our food....rediculous. ot was not even busy. Poor attitude, poor service and they totally didnt care. We went back 4 times! They just acted like they didnt care. They never gave us my chiken w wild rice soup! Totally wasted our time.GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
This has to be the worst Panera Bread on the planet. Consistently does not have bread bowls for soup. Let that sink in. The Panera BREAD never has bread bowls! Avoid this place like the plague and I will be lodging a complaint with corporate.
Been on the sip club for over a year, rude employees, apparently customers have complained about me getting my drink that i pay for monthly. So i’ve been stopped multiple times by employees refusing my drink and honestly i’d rather just cancel my membership than come back to this unwelcoming environment. 0 stars if i could, thanks a lot for making this convenient plan such an issue!
Consistently have had orders filled incorrectly. Tonight my daughter bought a Caesar Salad with extra chicken. Got home & there was no chicken on the salad. We paid @ $15 for a bowl of lettuce. They have also charged us for items that were substituted without our permission.
I feel it's a waste of time looking at all the negative reviews but, here goes. I love panera. It's the one "treat" I allow myself once in awhile. Usually the only issue is missing chips. I let it go because that's not what I go for. Window staff is amazing. It's clean, and when made correctly...the food is delish. I always get the roast turkey Avocado BLT. ALWAYS. Sometimes they can be stingy on the Avocado but rarely. Tonight... was a joke. The AVOCADO was just traces of it on the wrapper...smears basically. There was NO Avocado. It's IN the name of the sandwich for Pete's sake.... people. Get it right!
Two Wednesdays in a row (last week and today) that the cafe was not open as posted. We waited and waited for about 40 minutes and the manager did not show. Last week there were a couple employees in the back who said they could not open as they did no have keys or access to turn on the register. This happened last month as well. Obviously, this is not a one-off thing....and wonder if they are late opening on other days during the week? Advice - don't plan on this location being open in the morning on time.
i pulled into the drive through at 7:35am and waited there for about 5-10 minutes and nobody took my order. i pulled up to the window and the employees had their headsets on but still did not bother to acknowledge me. they open at 7am so they should have had plenty of time to get ready. i needed to go to work pretty quickly so i pulled into a parking spot and went in. the girl at the front didn’t even acknowledge me until i said “good morning” and she said absolutely nothing and just gave me a blank stare. didn’t ask if she could take my order or help, i had to just start ordering. during the whole order she still had a bad attitude and i got the vibes that she didn’t like me being there, even though they are literally open. i get it people have their bad days and don’t want to work early, but sorry honey. that’s life. staff here is completely useless. i think we could have robots work better than them.
I ordered 13 bagels for a work birthday celebration. I ordered them last night for pick up at 7:25AM this morning. When I arrived around 7:20AM, my 2 carafes of coffee were ready but the 13 bagels were not. When I saw that the screen said my entire order was ready but nothing came out, I went up to the counter to ask. They very non-chalantly said my bagels were not ready nor would they be for a "very long time because the baker hasn't made them yet." The associate asked me if I'd like a refund and I said, no, I would like something for my colleagues to eat. So, I asked for an exchange of pasteries. She did that and then said my order was ready. I then had to ask if I could have cream and sugar for the coffee. When I got to work, I found they gave me cream cheese, 7 pasteries, and no creamer. I will never go to Panera again. Ever. I also will be calling back today to speak with the general manager to get a full refund. What is bewildering to me is this: if you know something has been done poorly in service and you're an associate - make it overly right by the customer. Because you have to know I'm going to complain. You definitely want me to say, it sucked but the associates were awesome. The associates were not awesome in this scenario from the non-chalant attitude about their lack of baked goods (it is called Panera Bread for a reason) to the lack of "making it right" by the customer. Additionally, it was obviously a bulk order - I'm going to tell my colleagues this story. Bad customer service has a massive ripple effect in a digital and social age. I recommend you train your associates in this situation and encourage them to get management involved when there is a slip up this big.
Food was okay, However the girl working where they hand out the food is rude as heck. there is better ways of telling the customer their food isn’t ready instead of telling them to get away from the counter i believe her name is jasmine. so rude. won’t be returning to the panera at new braunfels location.
Took extremely long for order, food was mediocre. Initially planned to dine in, however all open tables were dirty. Went to ask if I could borrow some cleaner so I could clean a table for myself and my family. Juliette who took our order non chalantly came and looked at the table to confirm if they were actually dirty or not. Juliette then wiped our table and left the others dirty. Floors were also dirty and the chairs were not in great shape as some were ripped. An elderly couple who arrived after us also had conversations with us about the presentation of the restaurant. Also noticed dirty cleaning towel hanging on bread cart. Will not return to the new braunfels location in creekside. Poor experience.
Charged for a 1/2 sandwich and price was not posted on menu, deceptive practice. Manager apologized and just said he has told Management about pricing not posted or customers not told they are charged an extra $2 if you get just a half sandwich, unacceptable. Restaurant was very dirty and run down. Will not be back to Panera.
Ordered two sandwiches through the drive thru. Literally skimped me like you wouldn’t believe; $33 dollars for an embarrassing amount of food. Drove right back through the drive thru, gave it back, took my money somewhere else. Panera is a robbery.
If i wanted a half full bowl of mac and cheese i would’ve just gotten a box of kraft mac and cheese. the portion size has dramatically decreased; for 12 dollars you shouldn’t be serving a small handful of food. Haven’t been in a while, and after this unfortunate experience it’s unlikely i’ll be back. Edit: bread was also cold…
Went here and paid tip on the app before getting my food and coming in. I ordered a drink with my order. Trying to get anyone there to give you a cup so you can self serve your drink is impossible at this location. I asked , they just looked at me with a blank stare. My food got ready, still no cup. So I asked AGAIN. A girl rudely and sarcastically gave me my cup, I won’t be tipping anymore BEFORE receiving my food or any kind of service like handing me a cup I paid for.Do better!
Walked in not a staff member out front! One of the kiosk was frozen and no one came out until I went back and said something. Found four people talking and one snacking. The woman Taylor said they were short staffed and I laughed. They had two people eating four trying to order and no one waiting for a meal. They all had time to come out and talk a bit I left after Taylor started lecturing me on it was ok to not pay attention to customers when your short staffed! Had a hoodie on with it over her head inside the store. This store has always been slow but this is ridiculous. My last visit.
Panera is overpriced and they have subpar standards. I ordered a 1/2 sandwich and salad today, 11/8, and luckily looked in my bag before I drove too far away. I found what looked like someone’s partially eaten roll in my bag. I went back through the drive thru and questioned why something like that would be in my bag. I was told that it was a torn baguette and it is Panera’s policy to tear the bread, not cut it, so it looks more “rustic”. I reiterated multiple times that it looked like bread that was partially eaten. The employee gave me another torn baguette in a bag and I left. So, they can give me a second piece of torn bread in a bag but they threw the first piece of bread in the bag with everything else? What a mess. There are many places to eat in the shopping center so Panera is now off my list. Update 2/12/2023: They’re back at it! $18+ for a drink, cup of mac & cheese, a sandwich with the wrong (and burned) bread with barely any meat on said sandwich.
Pretty disappointed we ordered a cup and a bowl of chicken noodle soup this is all it had inside we paid over $15+ for chicken broth. I went drive thru so I obviously didn’t open our soup till I got home. (It was soup for my sick family, I suggest just making it if you have any energy left in you.) I wont be emailing in my receipt... I DID NOT KEEP IT -___-
This is the worst Panera I've ever been to. Seriously, don't come here. They barely have any pastries, the staff looks confused and lost, the food takes forever to be made even though the place is empty. The place is understaffed and the staff is undertrained. Had to wait like half hour for a hot chocolate, constantly asking and getting told to wait a bit longer. Terrible.
