An'nam New York Reviews
An’nam was wonderful accommodating our large party while celebrating a few family birthdays. The service was great, and we really appreciated being able to pre-order food, which made the evening run smoothly. The dishes were very flavorful, though some portions are on the smaller side—we ordered about 25 dishes for 16 people and didn’t leave overly full. Overall, it’s a great spot for a flavorful pre-show dinner with a group.
Outstanding Food – Slow Service but Worth It The food here was insanely good. We ordered a variety of appetizers and dim sum, and every single dish was a hit. The grilled shrimp was so perfectly seasoned and flavorful that we ended up ordering a second round. The shrimp and pork dumplings were soft, delicate, and packed with flavor. The Vietnamese fried spring rolls were incredible—I could’ve eaten a whole plate of them myself. The spicy shrimp wontons and pork dumplings were equally delicious, and the cucumber dish was fresh and perfectly balanced. Honestly, I could’ve kept eating until I burst. The only downside was the slow service. The servers were friendly but didn’t check in often, so our table got cluttered between courses. Also, the cocktails were just okay—not bad, but nothing memorable. That said, the restaurant was spotless, including the bathrooms, which were immaculate. It’s not the most visually striking place, but it’s modern, clean, and absolutely worth it for the food alone. I’d come back in a heartbeat just for another round of those shrimp and dumplings. The food was so good in fact that I wasn’t able to get any pictures of it cause we were too busy eating all of it !
Visited NYC for the day and knew we wanted sushi, but didn't want to go overboard (we're creatures of habit). If you're looking for your "usual" sushi, which we were, this is the place to go. Simple, but elegant and delicious! We started with the Dim Sum Platter - delicious. Our main was the sushi and shashimi for 2 - tasted so fresh and the presentation was beautiful! Our server, and other staff we interacted with, were so nice - they even took our pic with our food! The prices were VERY reasonable, espeically for so close to Times Square (we got 2 cocktails, 2 sodas, the app and dinner - paid around $150 plus tip) Would definitely recommend!
I’ve tried several dishes here, and everything has been excellent! The menu offers a great variety, so there’s something for everyone. During my last visit, I had the Bento box, and I highly recommend the chicken katsu—it was absolutely delicious. The staff is also super friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better.
If you're looking for Vietnamese cuisine and craving for Pho, this is the place to go. We tried this restaurant on a Saturday evening and it was a great experience. Finding a table was easy. The ambiance is cozy, and tables maintain hygiene standards. Staff here is very attentive and understands what you're looking for. We tried some starters, Pho, and some cocktails. Orders were served without much delay. Their menu is rich and ample options to make you visit again. What deserves a special mention? The attendants helped us select the perfect bowl of Pho we were looking for. What could be improved? Nothing, they are doing the right thing, and I would definitely visit again.
We got the tip to go there from the lady selling the tickets for the Stand Up Comedy (Comedy Central) on Times Square (CBS News / the Paramount building). She said that the food was so good and it looked as if angels had prepared the meals. Moreover, she said that prices were reasonable and the lunch deals were even cheaper. What can I say? EVERYTHING she said is true!!! Lunch deals start at 12,95$ and you can get them until 4 PM (we got there at 3:30 PM). We are talking FRESH VEGGIES here not frozen veggies. There is even a Happy Hour for drinks until 7 PM (e.g. a bottle of beer for 5$). But most important: THE FOOD IS JUST GREAT! We had three Lunch Deals and a Kitchen Benton Lunch. Even though we actually did not want a dessert, we still had it and - no surprise here either - it was also great. Such a place just around the corner from Times Square sounds unreal? Yes, it does! But it's real for sure. We know, now you know, too. Have a look at the photos. And don't forget to go there a.s.a.p. Might be overcrowded soon 😉
I order from here 2-3 times a week and eat in person occasionally. I’ve always found their portions and prices large and inexpensive compared to similar nearby restaurants. Their lunch specials are top-tier meals too at unbeatable prices; I recommend the Szechuan fish fillet for those who want to try authentic mouthwatering seasoning. Their Vietnamese pho (original flavor), abalone congee, and sushi (I get one of the 3-choice combos) is of really good quality. Also, they do a really good job of packaging to-go meals and making sure you have everything you need to eat (food, utensils, napkins, sauces). They finish orders quickly quickly, so if you’re nearby it’s a lot faster to just pick up your order rather than get it delivered. They serve sushi, Vietnamese food, and Chinese food. Also, the restaurant is beautifully furnished and spacious. Pictured: sushi combo, Szechuan fish fillet lunch special, duck/shiitake noodle soup, crab-pork soup dumplings (massive, already ate 2).
I read some review about cultural misappropriation at this place and I had to slap myself. This place is legit, I used to go here 1-2x a week for several years (for good reason), and even though it’s been through many changes it still delivers. The food is so damn tasty, everything is soo good, no complaints here. The service is exceptionally fast so you can sit down, get your food, your check, and be on your way if you’re in a rush, or sit n savor the delectable dishes. Some of my favorites are in the photos below, but there’s many more on the menu to try.
This is a Vietnamese & Japanese Fusion Restaurant. I usually don't eat at Vietnamese Fusion Restaurant because I always had bad experience with the foods due to authenticity and taste. However, this restaurant is the first one ever I actually enjoyed. Sushi rolls are great just like a typical Japanese restaurant. The grilled beef is very tasty! Fried calamari is crispy and goes well with the mango dipping sauce. Lemonade soda is great after the meal for digestion.
Great experience here - service was excellent and the waiters carefully handled any requests we had from our party. Food was great as well - eclectic mix of Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese so I was able to have many different cuisines and drinks in one meal. The meat dishes were all above average, large pho portions, and good drinks. Would recommend.
Great date night spot. I'm not too big on sushi but my husband is and he brought me here for a surprise date night. He's a regular here as well because he works nearby. I was very pleased with the selection, and yes, I tried a roll. I had the Zelda while he also had the Zelda, lobster and dragon rolls. I also ordered shrimp pad Thai. Food is DELICIOUS!! The sangria however, isn't the best I had but it wasn't bad. The amount of food and drink you get will fill you up. You will be satisfied. Thanks to our server and the manager for their wonderful hospitality and for our lovely dessert.
When it comes to this type of food I have to admit that I was skeptical when my friend told me we were going to these place. The reason is because I never had Vietnamese food before and I had no idea what kind of cuisine is it or what type of ingredients they use to prepare their dishes. But like the food enthusiastic I am; I decided to give it a try and I was impressed. The restaurant is for everyone. you can come here with kids. The Menu is amazingly long because of the variety of dishes that they offer. something that I like about this place is that even though is Vietnamese food; they also offer other dishes that are not typical from the Vietnamese cuisine like: sushi, rice, soups, salads.
I like the decors and atmosphere at the restaurant. Service was decent, though the food isn’t the best and most authentic. Had some Dim Sum Appetizers and it was okay, but until my Udon Noodles came out, it was a disappointment… soup is tasteless, the noodles is overcooked, and the condiments have a weird smell and taste to it… Overall, wouldn’t come back here again. There are better places around the block…
