AOC East New York Reviews
The food is amazing and the vibe impeccable! Honestly being here on a Sunday night during live music makes me long to be back in Paris....
Amazing staff and décor, and the food was incredible. Highly recommend going with the wine pairings!
My boyfriend and I came here on Valentines Day and we were so happy with everything. The food was absolutely delicious. We did not have a single complaint about anything. Highly recommend coming here, we had the escargot, tuna tartar, burrata salad, hanger steak, carbonara, apple tart, and crème brûlée. Everything was amazing
This place is great! The French cuisine in an amazing atmosphere, very chill, cozy bar good HH wine selection and they have escargots during HH, what else can you ask for! Pancho is the best!!!
Narrow bar upfront with tight but chill and calm vibes. Little standing room though. Great happy hour (every day) 4:30-6:30, which give a selection of small plates and discounted wine. $12 martinis during weekends. But note: Happy Hour only applies at the narrow bar up front, not if you sit at tables in the back.
Their happy hour is THE best in the city - 4:30-6:30pm SEVEN DAYS A WEEK! I love the decor, service, food, and value for price. It feels so welcoming yet upscale. Thank you AOC East for slaying always
The establishment has a pretty nice vibe. Myself and my wife went strictly for the cheese and charcuterie because they have a great selection. We ordered 5 out of the 10 cheeses to choose from. We also ordered 2 out of perhaps 8 charcuterie meats. They could have added a jam of some kind but they kept the bread coming thankfully! There wasn’t enough mustard and balsamic glaze on the board. We ran out pretty immediately. But If jam and dip portions are all I have to complain about I’m a pretty lucky person. Give this place a try.
Wonderful meal and even better ambiance. From the first appetizers of escargot and French onion to classics of couscous royal and muoules frite I was transported back to Paris.
My favorite French bistro the upper East side. I highly recommend the Sirloin steak, the burger. A very solid list of wine. You enjoy an outdoor seat while sipping in a refreshing cocktail and enjoying some small plates.
AOC has the best burger in all of NYC (get it with the Roquefort and pair it with the Beaujolais). Our favorite neighborhood spot—we come here at least a few times a month. Classic French spot with friendly French owners (Jerome usually waits on us), amazing food, and great wine and atmosphere.
This place is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood! They have consistently incredible food with an amazing wine selection, plus the staff are always friendly and help me pair the perfect wine for my meal. This restaurant is perfect for date nights but I also go here with my friends, especially on nights with live music. Definitely recommend!
This place is so cute! We have eaten here twice now, once with just my husband and I, once with a crew. Both times the food was great, the service is attentive and polite, and the place is just warm and cozy. What a fun find. I have allergies, and they have managed them well both times. Not easy to do. Lovely wine list also.
Great French neighborhood spot with eclectic decor. Started with VEGETABLE RISOTTO WITH WHITE TRUFFLE OIL and TUNA TARTARE. Followed by TAGLIATELLES À LA CARBONARA and a Friday special, VEAL CORDON BLEU. The food was delicious, especially the carbonara and risotto. Both were creamy and satisfying. Good service and strong drinks. The veal special was a nice surprise; the meet was nice and tender. Will come back again.
Great moment in a genuine french place where waiters speak french..(and they're very nice too! ;) We enjoyed big time our stay, from very, very good oysters to a great steak frites béarnaise, with a very nice Bordeaux ... And some waiters even sings ragga muffin... What's not to love!
Love France? Love Food? Love oysters? Love wine? This is the place to go! Although we had a small issue with the water, that our waitress took care rapidly. Food was AMAZING fresh and delicious! Felt like you could travel to France in one dinner! Would recommend to go and choose the mussels!
Cute French bistro slash wine bar on UES. Very friendly, familiar atmosphere with laid back servers and bartender with the appropriate French lilt. Great selection of wine (of course) and a menu full of tasty french dishes. Their version of a risotto was incredible and they didn't skimp on the truffle.
Really nice vibe. Would be great if I lived in the neighborhood and could drop in for a drink from time to time. We ordered two desserts, tarte tatin and crème brulée, however, and they were simply terrible. We took two bites and pushed them aside. Bartender (owner?) asked us if we didn't like them and we politely said no. We didn't ask to be comped but we were charged for both. No big deal but tacky where I come from. Otherwise his service was friendly and helpful.
Was very disappointed because this restaurant was recommended to us by friends who know that we love French food. We’ve been going through all the French restaurants since moving to the Upper East Side and this one really fell short. My husband and I love escargot and that was really the only dish that stood out. The frisée salad was okay, and the tuna tartare was fresh. However we requested fried oyster sliders yet they brought out plain fried oysters. Once sorrected, they were the tiniest sliders I’ve ever seen. Then both of our our entrees were a disappointment. The pictures of the hanger steak but nothing like what we were served. Not only that, but I asked for my steak, medium rare and it came out medium well. The waiter who had already gotten our oyster order wrong told me that he Ordered it medium but I had asked for medium rare and insisted that that’s what I had asked for. So now the waiter and the kitchen got it wrong. When the manager came over and offered to re-cook my steak, he then asked if I’d like another glass of wine in the meantime. I thought he was offering it to me complementary for the error but he did nothing. On top of that my husbands duck was chewy. I don’t see what there was to rave about here. One would think that with only two tables filled, our orders would have been perfect but the server was outside socializing and leaving tha manager to have to attend to us.
