Blue Maiz Kitchen New York Reviews
Everything here was amazing I had zero complaints. Great authentic Mexican cuisine and great margaritas for a good price. Will be visiting again the next time I’m in Manhattan.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was incredibly flavorful and authentic, truly standing out in every dish. The customer service was exceptional, with the staff being friendly and attentive throughout. The restaurant and bathrooms were spotless, which added to the overall positive atmosphere. As for the drinks—they were top-notch! I have absolutely no complaints and would highly recommend this spot to anyone. Whether you're visiting New York or live here, this is definitely a place worth checking out!
I was recently in NYC with my granddaughter. We wanted Mexican, and asked our concierge for a recommendation. He told us Maiz was his go-to, and now I understand why. It was SUCH a great experience, we returned the next night for dinner! Andreas was our server, and he provided us with a 5-star experience, without the associated price tag. If you are looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food, do yourself a favor and get to Maiz.
Had a good time at maiz, andres is an hardworking man. And the staff in the kitchen were doing a great job. Hard to see that four men tried to make it hard for andres by almost starting a fight about the bill. I would definitly go back here😊
Was looking for a place that looked clean and had decent reviews by the Javits and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. The food was authentic and flavorful, and everything is made right in front of you, so you can see how fresh it actually is. We cant wait to eat our churros on the way home! Go Maize 🌽
Amazing staff, Arianne R. was our server and the food runner guys were amazing as well. They moved us to a bigger table because it was a bit tight and food came out fast. As well as drinks as we kept ordering them every time she or the guys came. Amazing! Thank you
My friend and I made a last minute decision to eat here. So glad we did. Our server, Eduardo, gave outstanding service. He was very attentive and took genuine interest in our experience. Fun to talk to! The food was incredible. Get the homemade guacamole! It’s amazing. We will definitely return the next time we are in the city.
ANDRES was the best server we could have ever imagined. He was super sweet and brought my best friend a birthday shot with a candle at the end of our dinner after we briefly mentioned it being her birthday dinner! Carne asada tacos were so good!!! And the $5 happy hour frozen margaritas were the best :))
This is a very authentic Mexican restaurant. The enchiladas, and carnitas quesadilla were the best I ever had. The burrito was huge. Very nice friendly staff. Unfortunately we ate and forgot to take pics. I highly recommend giving them a try. Well Done Maiz Well Done.
I think this is the only place or one of few that have a happy hour every day and all day long, the margaritas are great and they have different flavors that you can choose, the food it’s amazing really Mexican food, and the drinks menu with unique cocktails it’s a definitely a comeback for sure. Prices are relative cheap compare to other places in the zone where they located.
I was looking for a place for Mexican while in New York. I searched a few places and saw this place had good reviews so we took a chance. We asked in and was greeted by Luis who gave us a table by the window. This was a Sunday so was not busy this early. Luis provided a few recommendations and we placed our order. They have happy hour rates for margaritas and American beers for 5 bucks but I ordered a margarita with casamigos blanco fresh and it didn't disappoint. The food was great and loved the atmosphere and Luis our waiter was great as well.i stopped by on the way back to my hotel for a late dinner as takeout and another drink! If you visit midtown or feel adventurous from another part of the city, please check out Maiz!
Coming from Texas, finding real Mexican flavors in the city can be tough—but this spot nails it. The flavors are spot-on, the vibe is lively, and…$5 margaritas all day? Yes, please! Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this place is a must. Service? On point (because in the city, it’s often a gamble). Don’t miss out—GO..NOW!
The food was amazing, perfect balance of spiciness and flavors. The location is also great, right next to PABT. Plenty of seating available, no reservations required. Food serving was quick. Must try place for a quick Mexican craving.....
This restaurant is cute, it has Mexican decor and the menu is basic Mexican american dishes that are offered , service was quick they definitely turn tables a lot and offering a $5 happy hour that's enticing to tourist. I shared a steak and shrimp fajita that came with tortillas rice and beans and it was a decent portion as well as tasty. They did forget our drinks we had to ask for them twice, thankfully the music makes it a good vibe.
If you want authentic Mexican food that is fresh and full of flavor you MUST come to Maiz. Not only are their tortillas made fresh daily but the drinks are amazing. The service is really top, notch, and they have a great interior to sit down or if you'd like to take your food to go, you can as well. Happy hour, every day and margaritas are $5 every day all day!
