Great food, wine, and dessert! Ordered the chicken liver agnolotti, half chicken, chips, and devil’s food cake. We also enjoyed excellent Spanish white wine and a few mocktails. The service was great from the moment we walked in. Every member of the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. We had a reservation, arrived on time and were seated promptly. We never felt rushed but we were just two people and dined on a weekday night so that could be why.

Cute place, great wine, and food was really solid. I hesitated between 4-5 stars because the appetizers, which usually are the best in restaurants, where OKish here (a bit too fat IMO). But the ribs were amazing, and the chicken liver pasta was out of this world. So definitely a 5 stars. PS: oh and unlimited bread like in civilized countries? that's also a 5-star deserving thing to do

After watching their chocolate cake video, I needed to come and try it. I have try many chocolate cakes since it is my favorite flavor and this so far has been the best one. It is really moist and in some way creamy. I could come again only to eat this cake, it is a bit on the pricy end ($22) but is BIG. Highly recommend asking for milk to go with it!!

A must when in town. The food is absolutely phenomenal, staff is incredible, and the atmosphere is laid back, yet professional. Bravo Chef Josh for creating a wonderful culinary adventure. Reservations open two weeks out and fill up quick so plan accordingly!

I came here for my birthday with friends and had an amazing, intimate and wonderful experience. The food was outstanding. The wine list, impeccable. The staff was the kindest. We even had some surprise guests show up and they squeezed them in. Love this restaurant so so much and will be back any chance I get. Thank you for making my day so special!

We enjoyed our meal at Claud and ordered the farro salad, pear salad, striped bass, lamb neck, and dessert. Each dish was well prepared and thoughtfully composed, with clean flavors and solid technique throughout. The striped bass stood out for its careful execution, and the lamb neck was comforting and well balanced. Service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. Iris, our server, was knowledgeable and welcoming, which added to an already pleasant experience. Claud is a restaurant worth visiting, and one I would be happy to return to.

Claud delivers on all fronts. The service was attentive and warm without being overbearing. Each dish showed real creativity and technical skill; the flavors were bold and balanced, and the presentations were beautiful. The wine list impressed with its thoughtful selection and surprisingly reasonable pricing. A standout dining experience in the East Village.

I stopped into Claud alone before grabbing drinks nearby with a friend, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment I walked in, the staff could not have made me feel more welcome. Their precision while cooking was memorizing to watch and the wine selection is endless. I was lucky enough to get a seat facing the open kitchen, and watching the team in action was absolute artistry. Chef Josh and his crew are magnetic, completely in sync, calm, and precise. The attention to detail is unreal, from the way each dish is plated to the rhythm behind the counter. My server, Jan, along with Juliette and Marge, were incredible, warm, and genuinely interested in making Claud feel like home. The recommendations were spot-on, but honestly, you could close your eyes, point to anything on the menu, and it would blow your mind. As someone about to begin culinary school, chatting with the chefs about their craft was inspiring. They were kind, generous with advice, and it translates into their dishes. With their sister restaurant was featured in Infatuations’s Best New Restaurant of 2024, Claud feels right behind it, quietly carrying the same excellence and heart. It is one of those rare places that makes busy New York City feel like a cozy neighborhood. I cannot wait to go back again and again!

So impressed with how they do flavours here. Everything was excellently balanced and cooked. Everything had a unique take on comforting dishes and flavours. The root beer ice cream special for dessert was exceptional. Staff were also helpful and friendly. The restaurant is has a gorgeous interior too.

This French wine bar is a great option for a date night or dinner with friends. I went in a group of 4 and so we were able to try a variety of dishes, which I loved. The interior of the restaurant is intimate, romantic, and nice but casual (if that makes sense). Service is stellar. We got two bottles of wine—both of which were amazing. I would definitely recommend trying out their wines! For appetizers, we ordered the foie gras, the shishito peppers with duck sausage, tomato mille-fueille, shrimp, and chicken liver agnolotti. Everything was delicious. While they are most known for their chicken liver agnolotti and shrimp (which I do agree at must-trys), the other appetizers we had did not fall short and everyone in our group had their own favorites. For mains, we got the pork chop, wagyu buvette, and chicken. The pork chop and chicken were the favorites of the night and I would say that you could skip the wagyu buvette (it just didn't stand out in my opinion and was a bit too salty). Wish we had room for dessert, but everything was phenomenal. (Maybe next time!)

Getting a reservation here was much anticipated and not disappointed!!!! We loved it, everything was extremely good especially the cabbage dish and tuna. For 2 people share an entree and get 2-3 starters! Or 2 entrees and 2 starters, of course. Recommend for a date! So so good :)

Had a great time at this dainty little restaurant! All the dishes were delicious and service was very pleasant. Usually not the biggest fan of chicken liver, but the agnolotti here was mild and very good.

Visiting Claud few times by myself and few times with friends in 2024. Amazing restaurant that serves small plates. Fun wine list. I would think about it as a restaurant instead of the wine bar as they describe themselves. Tables/seatings are on the small sides. They might not be the most comfortable. Host system could have been better. But I’m always come back for the food! Agnolotti, Pork Chop, and Chocolate Cake are a must!!!

This place is a GEM. What an incredible experience at Claud! Came here for an anniversary dinner , we got the shrimp, escargot, mackerel, pork chop and duck - Every single dish that was served with love from the chef and it did not disappoint. Ambiance is great, be sure to make reservations weeks in advance, we came at 5pm and the ‘walk in’ virtual line was already filling up. Definitely will come back, and aiming for the seats by the kitchen to get the whole experience. Pro tip, as tempting as it will be, don’t get too greedy on the sourdough bread - save room for dessert, the pistachio and devils cake is a MUST!!!

We visited on New Year’s and wish we didn't order the tasting menu. The main entrées—lobster, venison, and halibut—were all delicious, but the tasting format included too many courses. By the time dessert arrived, we were completely full and couldn't finish our meal. The pacing was the main issue. Both the plates and the wine arrived back-to-back with no real downtime between courses, which made the evening feel rushed rather than celebratory. We were also disappointed by the staff’s behavior for a New Year’s tasting menu. Servers were frequently on their phones, socializing, and drinking large glasses of wine themselves. Given the cost of the meal, this felt unprofessional and was a bit upsetting. We will visit Claud again, as we feel the regular menu will likely alleviate many of these issues—but the New Year’s experience missed the mark.

We went here for my birthday dinner and I just wanna say from the start. The interior of this place is adorable. It is super cozy feels almost like a very rustic cavity. Feel kitchen is wide open for you to see everything that we were cooking which I love I had pretty high hopes walking in here and it has a pretty good reputation. They also own the sister restaurant a penny upstairs who I think has one of the best desserts in New York City so I put this place pretty high on my expectations. Everything my hand was decently good it was good. Nothing was mind blowing though. The pit was a starter. It was strong good portion for you get for pate and went great on the bread The jamon or prosciutto was also really strong and delicious. However, after that, I forgot what these dishes were I can’t even name them looking at the pictures anymore. The pasta was decent. The problem is after I left this place. I almost forgot this meal totally if it wasn’t for the atmosphere. It wasn’t for the space that I loved so much. It would’ve been quite forgettable for me. Of course, the one of the most famous things they have. Here is the chocolate cake. It is huge decadent delicious I’m not really a chocolate cake person and we definitely have to take home, but I really love eating it the next two days. I do remember also having some kind of steak with blueberries on it. It felt great Thanksgiving and I don’t know it’s like berries on my steaks personal choice. It’s a personal choice.

Very stylish and warm interior, with an open kitchen. each of the dishes was uniquely flavorful. Definitely a place you should go with a group of 3-5 and share everything.

Solid 4 star experience. We’ve had a few dishes to share. All were right on point. Delicious but not overly priced. I felt if there were better presentation, it would’ve been better but man foods were gooooood! Small space but it doesn’t get loud, you can have conversation here!

Quite a few great dishes but the fish stood out the most. It was tender, juicy, and excellently seasoned. The Mille feuille was too buttery for our taste and the chicken pate (?) agnolotti were a little too heavy & salty - but great for sharing if you have more people. Cabbage steak was one of the best I’ve had. Chocolate cake was a little disappointing in my opinion since it’s been dubbed as the best chocolate cake in New York City (I don’t think so), but it is a gigantic piece ($22).

Overall rating: 4.3 From what I understand this is a very famous restaurant and good? The prices are on the higher end, but I’m not sure if it’s entirely worth it in my opinion. I knew I wasn’t the target audience but I definitely got stares from the staff - not sure if it’s bc I was the only POC or I didn’t dress the part, but it was not a good feeling. Especially the amount of money we spent. When I went to check my coat after I literally sat down, the hostess said it was only for people eating there. I literally CAME FROM MY TABLE. Bruh. Rude. It also took a few minutes for my friend and I to decide what to get & the server checked in maybe 5x. It was very overbearing. Items we ordered: - - - - - - chicken liver agnolotti: 5/5 so good - - - - - - - - - - - - - - red shrimp with olive oil and garlic: 4/5 great, but not sure I’d get again - - - - - - spring mille-feuille with morels and oma: 6/5 so amazing - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - pork chop with smoked onion jus: 4/5 I’m not sure why I thought this would be a pork chop. But it was sliced. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - devil’s food cake: 4/5 It was good. But the most amazing thing? Strong statements as someone one their period. Also ordered some other appetizers, but not sure the items. The food was good. But I have no plans to come back.

High end European restaurant with a relaxed setting. I thought the dishes were good but did not quite justify the prices. The chicken liver agnolotti was soft, chewy with an extremely rich flavor (best if shared). And the pork chop was tender with a dark sauce tang gave it a slightly sweet taste

(We did reserve online. I recommend people to check that out as well!!) Red Shrimp with Olive Oil and Garlic - the best dish of the night. The shrimp was sweet and tender, and the oil underneath it added great aroma and richness. We had like 3 plates of bread to eat w the oil. Beef tongue w salsa verde - The presentation was nice, but the slices were very thin so the texture was not very impressive. The sour cream in the center was actually good and helped balance the acidity. Veal sweetbreads w pepperoncini aioli - This was the weakest dish. The frying was very oily and heavy, and the portion was quite small. The flavor did not justify the texture, so I would not order this again. 🐟- This came out last. The flavor was mild and the fish was tender, and it did help us feel full by the end. The lemon 🍋 is an extra bonus. Very refreshing.

The food was good but not as good as I feel like my friends raved about. The pork stood out to me, really liked the sauce that was on top. Mille feuille is a total skip, was seriously flavorless and basically just a some puffed pastry sheets stacked on top of each other. Other things were just okay. We ordered a ton of food and drinks just between us girls but didn’t really have time to enjoy it all. They were very adamant about the 2 hour time limit even though we spent a lot and rushed us out of there.

No warmth in the service. You feel like nobody working there wants to be there. Prices are a bit ridiculous for okay food. Hard to leave there without spending 200 and feeling like you got scammed. At this price point you get better service, better food and coat check so your coat wont smell like their kitchen for 3 days within 2 blocks across 15 different restaurants. I am not exactly sure what the hype is about if any. Id spend my hard earned dollars elsewhere.
