Coma Bueno New York Reviews
This is a Dominican diner. Imagine an old time diner with 2 Hispanic aunties (tias) serving. They make a really good breakfast. Longganisa and chorizo (latin sausages) are a must. They have warming trays with plantain bananas mashed like potatoes, boiled cassava and onions. They also have chicken chicharon and breaded fried steak (think chicken fried steak) at lunch and dinner. I will come back to do that. Yes there's loud music and modest Spanish will make ordering a lot easier. I'll post an old menu, prices are up 15-20%
Small location, big flavor. Limited seating, friendly staff. Reasonable prices, clean environment Breakfast, lunch or dinner they’ve got You covered.
Peaceful authentic setting, perfect for one or two people who just want to enjoy culture and the taste of roots, simple authentic, Puerto rican , Dominican food and can make a perfect sandwich Cubano with some good cafe .
The service and friendliness of the people here was good, the food was delicious can never say no to mofongo with carne frita.
Good price, portion, and flavor. It taste homemade!
Excellent place to share a beer with friends and loves ones

Absolutely love this place! Amazing people and amazing food! Went with a friend and they welcomed us and introduced us to Dominican food!
My dad is sick and lost his appetite for everything other than home cooked Dominican food, unfortunately he doesn't like my cooking. This place is the first place I found that he actually enjoyed eating. I guess if you want to know what home cooked Dominican food tastes like then come here. If it seems like they are ignoring you, they aren't they won't rush their current customer to come to you because they wouldn't rush you to help the next customer.
Great food and services. I recommend.
Service was amazing & the fish was great with the rice and beans. 10/10 - felt like an amazing home cooked meal.
The food was totally affordable I didn’t expect that it would be $18 for two meals and a whole tray of sweet plantains I thought it was around 20 or $25 dollars but it was 18 and they delivered it to my house with in 20 minutes I do live near there but their service is very excellent I will always go and get food from there it was affordable and good
Absolutely excellent Dominican food! Everything I ordered was delicious — the carne frita was fire, the queso frito perfectly crispy, the mangú, pollo guisado, and beans all seasoned just right — not too salty and full of flavor. Portions were generous and everything tasted homemade. Definitely one of the best Dominican spots I’ve ordered from!
I accept that this spot deserves praise. All my orders have been tasty. These workers are approachable and solution-focused. The place was very romantic and the service was great. I'm certainly returning for more.
I can't wait to bring friends here next time. Employees are very courteous and welcoming as well. The space, the servers, and the food all deliver. I was shocked by how spotless and fashionable the place was. I know what I like, and this place has it.

The darn music is so loud in this restaurant that you can't even eat-in in peace or even order food over the phone for delivery!! I swear, I thought I was calling a night club in Washington Heights! 🤣🤣🤣 They claim that they can't hear my voice while I'm ordering food because "my cellphone is messed up." 🤣🤣🤣 GTFOH I couldn't stop laughing!!! But on a good note, their food is delicious, though!

Hostess very rude and easily frustrated because of language barrier. She left us for 15 minutes and took care of walking customers that spoke Spanish. One customer noticed and asked if we wanted help ordering, then spoke to her. She screamed something with profanity in Spanish and he walked out. We followed him. I can’t rate the food because we never tried it but the service will keep me from never going back.
I went there for breakfast and ordered an egg ham and cheese sandwich. My server asked me how I like my eggs and I told her scrambled. When my order arrived I saw there were no eggs in it. I asked the server for that she said there are no eggs. She charged me $5 for a $4 sandwich. The roof and sides of my mouth are hurting too. Would not go there again.
So I checked the menu with prices listed on Google, about 2 months ago, I wanted to have an egg ham and cheese sandwich, 4 dollars as listed. I showed the server on my phone a specific one. She asked for a choice of eggs, I said scrambled. So 1- they charged me 5 dollars for it, in cash and 2- it had no egg in it! I asked her about the egg and she said no egg. My friend had offered an egg bacon and cheese sandwich to go, supposed to be 4 dollars but was charged 6 dollars. It's not about a dollar or two less or more, it's about the legitimacy of service you provide. Would not recommend you visit it. Food was meh, not worth a single penny I spent.
