Fried Dumpling New York Reviews
Best dumplings I’ve ever had. No exaggeration. $5 for 13 or $10 for 26 — cash only. The value is unreal. Crispy bottoms, juicy filling, perfectly seasoned, and served hot and fresh. The line moves quickly, and it looked like a single older woman was running the entire place herself — major respect. We literally ate them standing in the street during a festival and it was perfect. Went back later for more and they had already closed — next time I’m ordering the large. A must-stop in Chinatown.
Best dumplings I’ve ever had, and they are lightning fast with em
Fried Dumpling is exactly what it should be and nothing more. A tiny, unassuming takeout spot on Mosco Street where you go for one thing and one thing only: cheap, satisfying dumplings. Service is fast and straightforward. You order, you pay, and your dumplings come out quick. The fried dumplings are crispy on the outside with a savory filling and the portions are generous for the price. It’s not gourmet, but it absolutely hits the spot, especially when you want something filling without spending much. What really makes this place special is that it feels like one of the last remaining truly cheap dumpling spots left in Chinatown. In a neighborhood where prices keep creeping up, Fried Dumpling still delivers solid food at a price that feels like old Chinatown. No seating, no frills, cash only. Get in, get your dumplings, and get out. Perfect for a quick bite and a Chinatown classic that deserves to stick around.
We love love love this place! We go there every time we are in NYC. The dumplings are amazing. More addictive than crack cocaine, lol! The atmosphere is tiny, no frills. Just part of it's charm. A wonderful place! If I could give those dumplings 10 stars I would!
The service was so fast we didn't even know our dumplings were done! We got 13 dumplings for $5. What a killer deal! Once person could definitely eat it all, but it was also plenty to share. Not quite sure what type of chili sauce was available to put on the dumplings but it was so good. The inside of the dumplings were a little dry for my liking, but overall the flavor was good.
These fried dumplings are a true treat! Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, each bite delivers a perfect blend of savory flavors. The tender filling, combined with the crunchy exterior, creates an irresistible texture. Paired with a flavorful dipping sauce, they’re absolutely delicious!
I love tiny counter shop. This unassuming spot—nestled in an alley between Mott and Mulberry Streets—serves up crispy, perfectly seasoned fried dumplings in generous portions (13 dumplings for $5!!!). It is a 10/10 due to its quick, friendly service, authentic flavors, and unbeatable value when you’re looking for a fast, satisfying bite on the run.
This place is a fantastic dumpling spot! 🥟 Fried Dumplings serves (as the name implies) fried ♨️ dumplings for a very affordable price! 🏷️ Definitely get their small order of 13 dumplings for $5 - they are incredibly delicious! 🤤 This place only accepts cash 💵 and has no seating 🪑 so prepare taking your order to-go! 🥡 Staff 👨🍳 is friendly and the service is super quick. ⏲️ I wish I came here sooner!
This place is amazing. They only have fried dumplings. Either for $5 set or $10 set. Got the $5 one and it came with 13 dumplings which was a steal! Not really anywhere to sit down, more of a take and go spot. The staff are so friendly. And they make the dumplings fresh right there. Definitely recommend.
Super cheap and yummy dumpling. We visited this little late but there are still a lot of customers outside. Bad I think when there are more customer, they tend to quick fried the dumplings- they were not crunchy enough like the pictures Out of siuchan (??) sauce but no refill 😭 the hot sauce go well with dumplings tho Really oily- so I recommend you to try 5$ portion first before buying the 10 Best Only serve 1 dish, no thinking, no hesitation, just enjoy the food You cant find such cheap and good dumplings anywhere else like this Filling is yummy, fresh The skin is chewy, soft- im pretty sure they freshly made Definitely will visit again, but not frequently
Fresh, hot, and crispy skin; but to me (as a Northern Chinese), it was too tough and thick. This is my issue with most affordable Chinatown dumpling spots. But really, what can I complain about when it's $5 for 13 pieces? The auntie asked me to show her the viral TikTok that got them busy. And she actually speaks with a Tianjin accent. Considering that in Chinatown, most—like 99.9%—of restaurants are run by southerners, despite claiming to be northern. This is gold, I'll add one star 😭
Super affordable, with very efficient and friendly service. Got the small $5 for 13, quick exchange with cash for a box of dumplings. Though as a dumpling lover, I found these were only alright. The skin felt a bit too thick and not as crispy as I would've liked. Could've just been that it was already packaged in the box, so lost some of its crispy factor.
I arrived when she was closing up her shop so I could understand that she was a bit annoyed. Regardless, I paid $5 for an order of dumplings and found them to be rather tasteless. This place is probably impressive for a non-Asian person, though.
I had bought the fried dumpling and thought they were not to bad for the price so I bought the frozen dumplings the woman sold, the next day I made the dumplings and had only ate one because I wasn’t to hungry. An hour later I was left with the worst stomach pain and had thrown up 4+ times because of one singular dumpling.
