Pierre Loti New York Reviews
Exceptional bartender Phillip made me feel like family while pouring good wines at a decent Manhattan price. Highly recommend for service. Wine selection needs improvemt, but service delivers an enjoyable evening.
Sutton Place- The best mulled wine (and any other California wine) you will find anywhere. A perfect end to a perfect night! Staff is very helpful and attentive. A true hidden gem!
Good wine, nice terrace with heat when it's too cold. Very cool to be able to seat outside even on rainy/cold day for a glass of wine. Loved it. Only thing I would change is their happy hour time that finish at 6pm... (??!!) way too early.
Came here on a Friday night with my friends for dinner. The food was amazing and the service was very attentive. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend it.
Great service, wine, and bites. Nice seating options inside and out. I made a math error on my receipt that would have favorited them and they corrected it. Honest and upstanding place to enjoy some time at!
Best place I've tried in New York so far!!!! Ufti was amazing! The Grilled Octopus and Baklava were our favorite!! Must go !!
I had been here for the first time, earlier last year. I had ordered a hummus platter, Turkish Meatballs and a glass of Montepucciano d Abruzzo wine. This past week I went there again. I was to meet up with my sister, who had never been there. Last year I went on a Wednesday afternoon, it wasn't crowded at all. I totally enjoyed the food that I ordered. I highly recommend their hummus platter with red pepper. I also enjoyed their roasted potatoes with Turkish Meatballs and some Arugula. This time on 14 October, I ordered their hummus platter, and an order of Bruschetta platter, consist of a trio of Bruschetta, one with mushrooms, one with tomato and cheese on it and the third one cheese with figs, I believe.I had ordered that for my sister , so I only took a piece of the one with tomatoes and cheese. I ordered a salad, which I ask them to prepare, off the menu. The salad that I ordered was sliced tomatoes with sliced avocado and feta cheese with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It was so delicious. They gave me a generous portion, that I ended up taking leftover of that home. I enjoyed that tremendously, the next night for my dinner. For my dinner, I ordered the baked salmon on arugula. It was so much that I asked my sister to take half of it, home as leftovers for her. My sister ordered a Beet Salad. It was a busy night, the tables were all filled up. They have tables set up outside, due to COVID.. It is very nice and cozy inside, but small. The only mishap I had that night was with the young male waiter. He was excellent.however, in clearing the plates off the table, I specifically told him, the food on the plates, was to go. Considering that it was crowded, they were extremely busy. As most places, due to COVID they tend to be understaffed. My sister was wondering why, we had not gotten the containers back with our leftovers. I hadn't realized that we didn't get it back. For my leftover salad, the server had given me a container in which to put it in. My sister was wondering why they hadn't just brought us containers to put leftover food, rather than take plates to the kitchen. Long story short, when I asked for the check and inquired about our leftovers, the server then realized the mistake he made. He informed me that he was confused and ended up throwing away the food. You can imagine how I felt, as I hate wasting food. No Less it was my sister's first time going to that restaurant. I mentioned this to the owner and other female server that was my first server that night, until male server took over to assist, due to busy night with the crowds. I was not expecting outcome of this, but was pleased with it. The female server came to my table and informed my sister and me, that they were not going to charge me for our dinner, due to server's mistake. I am a Christian and would never have cursed at them, nor yell at the server, when this happened.. I understand things happen, I only said to the owner, that I was disappointed as those leftovers were for my sister's husband. I respected their decision, to just charge me for the wine we had . I will definitely return back to Pierre Loti Restaurant, known for their Mediterranean Food. In spite of everything, I highly recommend Pierre Loti Restaurant, most deserving of five stars ...
Great service and food, food comes quickly, great environment, lots of food options and waiters know what they are talking about. Overall a great experience and will come back again in the near future.
Delicious food in a very warm atmosphere! The Manti was wonderful but the Hunkar’s Delight stole the show!
This place is absolutely amazing !!! I would love to write every single step that I love but it’s gonna take a half an hour to write it down :) I wanna keep it short and simple ! Amazing amazing amazing food is outstanding Service is very kind , professional and more !! Definitely recommend and I will be a regular for this spot ✅✅✅✅✅
We loved the food. The brazilian waitress and the argentine host were super nice with us. We definitely will go there again!
I loved my yellow jacket and red wine! The bartender was the best. Great atmosphere will come back!
Great vibe great food great drinks !! 10/10
Amazing service and food was so underratedly amazing!!!
We went for a Monday night dinner and for our week long NYC visit this was our best dining experience. Cocktails were original and tasted, food was great, I had braised lamb shank which was huge and perfectly prepared. The waiter was attentive, very helpful and very knowledgeable about food and our selections. Will put it on our list for our next visit.
Excellent service and delicious food. We had chosen another restaurant to dine at, but being Christmas Eve, it was closed. We had walked by Pierre Loti and saw it was open and decided to try it out. We were warmly welcomed to a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. They specialize in wines, pages and pages of wines. We tried the mulled wine. Some of the best we have ever tasted. Not a lengthy menu but enough variety so each of us with a varied diet could enjoy a meal. We ordered veal meatballs and ravioli, all were excellent. Restroom was very clean.
We loved our experience here. I am Turkish and I visited the restaurant with my boyfriend who is French and I was glad he got to experience amazing food as well as a very traditional Turkish hospitality. This is certainly a place I will keep coming back. Incredible job!!
Great service, very nice, loved the olives
We loved this place. We had a few Turkish classics like manti, lentil soup, tandir, and they were all delicious. The service was fast and the staff were very attentive and kind. We will definitely come back again.
Best place I've ever been. We had special night with my best friends. We had zucchini pancakes meze platter and adana kebab. Everything was delicious. Best service I've ever had. Definitely will come back!!! Thank you🤍🤍🤍
It’s a wonderful place where you can sit with your family and friends, enjoy a delicious dinner, have a good glass of wine, and have a great and pleasant time. I highly recommend it.
Fantastic dining experience! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Highly recommend the Pacanga and Manti for a great meal!
Highly recommend! Service is attentive and friendly, the restaurant vibe is romantic and lively, plenty of seating outside, covered patio or inside. Plenty of variety on the menu. The tuna appetizer was excellent, pepperoone pizza was good. Make a reservation, enjoy!
First time here and it was great! The service was phenomenal, everyone is so attentive and friendly. The food was good, and the drinks were good too. Cozy environment, kind of a romantic vibe. Came during happy hour so it was definitely cheaper than if you come outside of happy hour but it’s worth it!
It’s a lovely intimate establishment with a fantastic food and drink happy hour. Sal, our bartender, was attentive and made great cocktails and conversation. Highly recommend for a date night or catching up with friends.
I really had a great time. The drinks and the appetizers were amazing. I highly recommend the flatbreads. The staff especially the bartender was great. If you're ever in union square i highly recommend this place
Great place for a casual evening cocktails with friends. Servers are nice and kind. Wines are good selection and food is delicious. Cocktails are great. This is all you need from a wine bar.
We had a wonderful afternoon in the Sunday sun!!! The Gruner was crisp and delicious and so was the Caesar. Saving for next time!
Sel, Ufti, and Saul were the highlight of our trip, the hospitality was wonderful and had my girlfriend and I coming back to try different things. the feta cado was great, the flatbreads were delicious, and the drinks and conversation were amazing. we can’t wait to be back to visit! on beş!
This place is perfect, they've obviously been doing it well for a very long time. So relaxed that "it feels like New Orleans" and it really does. Plus all the little things have been considered and well delivered. First the seating - a huge Covid shack, warm and with comfortable seating, good for the colder months - sturdy tables, high tops and low tops. Next, sidewalk seating - airy and open, good for cocktails in the air on little, light white tables and chairs. Then the step down seating - still outside, but covered, warmer with huge leather seats and sturdy wooden tables, good for Fall and food. Finally there's indoors too which is cozy, warm and full of decorations. Now, the food was INCREDIBLE! Bruschetta was basically appetizer (tomato and basil) meal (mushroom and cheese) and dessert (honey, nuts and brie) on a plate; next the Turkish meatballs, also a full meal on a plate as it has fingerling potatoes and salad on top of the 5 meatballs. Finally the truffle and mushroom pizza was just gaga gooey delicious - and Cesar Salad just crispy and light and divine. The cocktails were incredible too!!! Serious, this place is just brilliant in all the subtle details and decisions. Old school New York brilliance (like 1800s old school). Definitely will come again
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this cozy restaurant. We were greeted with a very warm welcome, and the atmosphere was intimate and inviting. The menu was fantastic, offering a variety of unique dishes not the usual standard options, but truly delicious and beautifully presented. We had such a lovely evening! I can highly recommend this place!
This is the perfect cozy wine bar to spend time in this season. They have a wonderful selection of wines (of course) as well as a good spread of small plates. I am obsessed with the truffle deviled eggs and I also tried the hummus. I had a glass of Pinot Grigio while enjoying the warm environment. This bar definitely reminds me of Sex and the City - it’s a great spot for a date as it’s very romantic, but I was extremely comfortable having some time alone. Def check this place out!!! I know it will be even better in the Summer with the patio seating.
The aesthetics are perfect for dates, lunch or even a solo dinner. The drinks are good and the food is great. The Brie walnut fig and honey flatbread is great and so is the baked salmon. I get these everytime! Worth the visit.
Super super nice bar. Went here with a friend and we had such a good time at the bar. The bartender was really nice and also makes the best cocktails in front of you. Can only recommend the Espresso Martini ☀️
Very happy to see the dividers and masks on the staff. We went early (at 530). Only 2 other tables full. Plenty of social distancing. Only using plastic cups right now, and menu is smaller, but I had an excellent French wine recommendation paired with the baked camenbert (and fig jam!) We chose this place because it had the most social distancing and best dividers between tables in our area. Very happy!
The service is always amazing and the food is so so good! I’ve become a regular here and it’s on the best street in nyc !
They offers an incredible selection of wines and a delicious Mediterranean-focused menu, and their Lamb Chops are a can't miss item.
We happened to walk by here and stop in for lunch. It was surprisingly pretty solid! I got the prosciutto arugula pizza and I was impressed. We were the only people in the restaurant, so the service was spectacular. It was a neat little find, certainly exceeded our expectations.
Elegant yet simple joint offering yummy cocktails and lovely bites. Great mezcal concoctions 😌
This place is my recently favorite Turkish restaurant in the city. It’s serving traditional Turkish food in an elegant setting. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options. Also ask for « raki » - they have it!
Cocktails were delicious and truffle pizza hit the spot on a Saturday afternoon! I will be back soon! Service was amazing!!!
Didn’t know what to expect or what I wanted, waiter was extremely helpful with recommendations. Really friendly and stunning food and wine.
Grate place for brunch stop. Mediterranean food.
it was an amazing experience! i had a dinner with my friends and all i can say is that service, atmosphere, food, everything was wonderful! thanks to Ufti, we had the most wonderful appetizers and drinks. we’ll def be back again!❤️
Amazing service, delicious food, great selection of wine. Great hospitality, definetly will be back!
Such a charming spot! Great wine, friendly staff, and a cozy vibe. A true hidden gem on Irving Place.
Excellent food. Great wine selection. Outstanding service.
Lovely spot for a gentle glass of wine and easy tapas-style sharing plates. Good wine, lovely staff,
Delicious food, delicious drinks and awesome staff! We stumbled upon this place and we’re going to have to go back every time we visit NYC. We ordered the grilled salmon, and I’ve been thinking about that salmon ever since! We arrived as a group of 2 with a baby and our group grew to 9 as the night continued. The staff was very accommodating and moved tables/chairs to fit us all. Thank you Pierre Loti staff for such a great night!
We made a reservation there without expecting much because it was close to a show we were going to see after. We really liked it, the happy hour menu is generous and very good. It was a very nice surprise and we are looking forward to going back.
Such a cute place. Perfect for private parties and date nights. Nice selection of wind and great appetizers. Mix appetizer plate was perfect due with a glass of wine at the bar. Great happy hour. Can’t wait to plan our corporate events there in the future.
Had a late (10:30) dinner there on Fri Aug 2nd 2024. Made reservation on the phone with Ed. Glad I did! He and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable & professional. Food & drinks were excellent. The hummus appetizer was outstanding. When you go there ask for Ed. Tell him Daniel sent you!
This place was great, the perfect cozy atmosphere to catch up with a friend! Sal was wonderful and very personable; made this the perfect bar to bond over wine. Definitely would come back!
Had the most wonderful lunch today. The food was delicious, I highly recommend the hummus and the grilled salmon, both so flavorful and my friends falafel was also fantastic! And we ended the meal with the most wonderful dessert, a cold baklava that I can't rave enough about. The service was exceptional and I love the decor and airy atmosphere. It was a surprise find as we strolled down Irving Place and we all look forward to returning soon.
Adorable place with cosy vibes, good food and great service. Definitely recommend.
We had a fabulous dinner. Our server Erdi was wonderful. He helped us with the menu and suggested delicious wine. Strongly recommended.
I’ve been to Pierre Loti three times in a month, very telling! Food and drinks are amazing. Friendly and attentive staff. Very cozy ambiance, great spot for an intimate date night but also wonderful for larger parties, too. Definitely a must go place!
Cute wine bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was great all around from the food to the drinks. Responsibly priced which is nice as well. The meat and cheese board for 5 ppl was the only thing that wasn’t worth our while for the price.
Great cozy and classy place for a date night!!! Amazing food, drinks, service and intimate atmosphere.
Great little wine bar for post work drinks or to meet friends on the weekend. I love the classy lounge atmosphere and huge selection of tasty wines. This is the first place I ever had a drink in NYC so there's that!
It's pretty expensive for the fare offered, but otherwise a decent spot to have a quiet conversation.
Service is spotty and there isn't anything truly truly exceptional here but it's a great little wine bar with a decent menu. The tomato mozzarella salad usually hits the spot and he house cab franc is pretty nice.
Was looking for a quiet bar, but it was actually a little too quiet. Nice, small, dark. Bartender was kind; gave me a free espresso/liquor shot of some type. Granted, he had overpoured for someone else, but was nice enough to give me the extra. I would go back.
The food was very good. I started off with muammara dip which was roasted red pepper, crushed red pepper, garlic, walnut, and extra virgin olive oil and a hummus dip. Both very good. For my main dish I had lamb tandir. The lamb was very juicy and came with two sides. I had sautéed spinach and mix vegetables. All was good. The service was great. The ambiance was nice.
Cozy, intimate wine bar good for date night. It's dimly lit and has a great wine selection. It's hard to find some of the options that Pierre Loti has. Great cheese board, I mean totally awesome. One of the best cheese/charcuterie boards I've had in a long time. I've been twice and will definitely go back!
I liked their patio and the friendly service. The menu, however, seems a bit limited and a bit too simple/plain. I don't think it's paired well with their wine list. It would have been great to see more dips and other appetizers that go with wine.
Great flavourful mulled wine! A little pricey. They have happy hour everyday which applies to some but not all drinks. Website says 4-7p although store front said 3-6p.
Terrific place for a quick drink/bite, (def a fun date spot) but between restaurant week and the cold weather keeping everyone inside, the noise level was a bit overwhelming. I'd definitely go back, but during a less busy time of day or night. Props to the host who was on the ball, managed a slew of people arriving at the same time, and managed to seat everyone. Even without a reservation, I didn't feel belittled or pushed aside. He joked with me and I was happy to wait for a table (which was all of about 5 min).
IMHO they should have been able to keep their lovely dining shed. That said, the food is still quite tasty, the service is still good, there are terrific happy hour and lunch deals, and plenty of very of nice wine. Too much wine. Oy vey...
This place offers a cozy, romantic ambience with a huge selection of wine. The staff is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to their products so that's a pro. It may be a bit dark in here for some but I enjoyed sipping wine in a dimly lit environment especially at night. The wines are pricey, yes but you are getting good quality wine, not the mass produced stuff. If you are a wine enthusiast or looking for an amorous space for a date, this would work
Went here on a date and sat at the bar. Nice wine selection, good appetizers, friendly bartender. 4 star rating is because the bar is directly in front of the door and is cold to sit there for prolonged periods. Also, while the bruschetta tasted good, it was 3 huge pieces which were difficult to eat. I think it would be more manageable to make 6 smaller pieces. Tasted delicious though!
This place was great!!! Definitely would recommend for a good Italian dinner if in the area!
We were trying to grab drinks before we made it further uptown but everything seemed to be packed. As we were walking, we strolled past Pierre Loti and they said they could seat 5 in their parklet. Honestly, we're very glad this worked out! It was not packed at all so we had a whole corner to ourselves. We got some apps for the table but more importatly we had several drinks all of which were very good. They have an impressive wine list and you can't go wrong there but the cocktails are also very good. The only downside was that they had a party inside and because of that, we found ourselves at some points waiting for water, or the check even. Still, worth a visit!
Only reason not 5 stars was because of a little high in price and server had to be chased down, each time needed. Seemed short staffed perhaps.
Came here for a quick bite to eat with the good ole fiancé, and we enjoyed a lot of the first (maybe second) dates we were surrounded by. This is definitely a good place for that. Drinks are not too expensive and they have a good selection of wines. The deviled eggs were interesting being warm. I sadly did not enjoy the old fashioned I got. It was too booze heavy; not balanced. Still would come here for a chill atmosphere
Really lovely place for a bite & drink. The turkish food was pretty delicious & decent atmosphere. We were sat next to the door which wasn’t great, along with being very very close to a large group, so it was cold on one side & less than intimate on the other. Besides that, it was lovely.
Good wine and nice, low-key ambiance. The staff are sweet and will recommend drink options if you are not sure what you want to order. The space is in the basement and small, dimly lit and cozy. Can get crowded very quickly, but great for making a quick stop before dinner in the area.
First time eating here. Food was good. Service was not. Restaurant was just about empty but waiter was not attentive at all. Had to ask for refill of drink..had to ask for dessert menu…we were not asked how we were doing. Gave a 20% tip anyway
Ironically, the non-Mediterranean dish (the tuna tartare, pictured) was much better than the Mediterranean ones (hummus; eggplant caviar; and in particular the chicken shish, which was too bland). The cocktails were OK but overpriced
Pierre Loti Wine Bar is misleading in its name, as it lacks a robust wine selection, offering a limited and unimpressive range. When I opted for a beer, it was disappointingly old and of poor quality. The Pilsner I ordered was particularly bad, arriving hazy and full of sediment. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations for a wine bar.
I came in later to join a party of nine on 10-1-25 (no one was waiting to be seated). While a few of us were standing, one of the staff members started arranging tables around us and even bumped the table into my leg. Clearly, this was done to shoo us away despite no other customers waiting. It felt unwelcoming and unprofessional. Management should train staff to handle guests with courtesy and respect.
It’s ok. It feels a little grungy for a wine bar, I will say we appreciated the $10 happy hour wine options. The truffle flatbread left something to be desired.
Avoid. So many cute places in this neighborhood, but even in an uncrowded bar the service was terrible. We had to beg at each encounter and the staff (including the GM) had collective ADD, focusing on everything but what was urgent or important. Food was super meh too.
Grabbed a couple glasses of wine here in their outside structure after work. Wine list is fine for a casual meetup, but the outside decor leaves a bit to be desired. Halfway through, a cockroach climbed on me!! And I wasn't the only person, this also happened to other people around us. Gross! Now I've lived in NYC a long time and I know those can be seen everywhere but them being getting so close to guests was just too much. Our waitress was fine but not friendly, they seemed potentially short-staffed. Manager came in to check-in on us a few times which was nice. Overall a below average experience for this type of wine bar. Won't be returning.
They always try to close much earlier than their listed hours. one time tried to order a second round of drinks at midnight on a saturday night, and they purposely avoided me. went at 10pm on a saturday to try and get small plates with drinks and they said they were already done with food for the day. Drinks are fine but wouldn't trust it for a late night spot. you'd be happier next door at l'americana
Fine drinks and food, but service was pretty awful. The bartender kind of snubbed me and my boyfriend - have no idea why, we were polite and just moved to the neighborhood. Maybe it was just the bar, and seated service is much better. I don't know, because I won't be going back. Bar Jamon across the street is generally superior.
Update: we went back 2 weeks ago and the music was extremely high. We asked the waitress to lower the volume and she said she couldn’t and they don’t lower the volume. We moved outside where different music was play also very loud. We asked the waitress to lower the volume again and this time she snapped saying: we are a club and we can’t lower the music. We ended up walking out Old review: Great atmosphere and delicious food. Will come again, just turn down the volume of the music. It was so high when we got in that we almost walked out. I am glad we didn’t.
Worst tuna tartare I’ve ever had. Not fresh, covered in heavy sauce. Arugula salad was drenched in balsamic.
