Such a great spot with an amazing atmosphere and super friendly staff! The vibe is lively yet comfortable, perfect for meeting friends or relaxing after a long day. The Irish coffee was absolutely excellent, perfectly balanced, rich, and beautifully made. Service was quick and everything felt welcoming and well-organized. Andee server was excellent , very attentive. I truly enjoyed my visit and would definitely recommend this place to others!

My girlfriend and I had one of the best NYC bar experiences in one of the most unsuspecting locations, directly adjacent to Penn Station in Moynihan Hall! Irish Exit is absolutely worth the stop! Drinks were absolutely SPOT ON and the service was far beyond the norm for a bustling commuter stop! Caleb was our bartender and host extraordinaire! Absolutely check this spot out and stop and say hi to Caleb while you're at it! You and yours will be glad you did! Thank you, Caleb and staff of Irish Exit!

Catching a 1:59 to DC from Moynihan and found The Irish Exit. LOVED IT!!!! Lorie mixes fabulous drinks, the atmosphere is charming, and food is delivered from any of the 12 eateries around you! My daughter and I would come to DC just for this bar and concept. Put this on ur “must do in NYC” list.

Stopped by on my way out of town. Such a treat. The place was busy (as expected) but had a great vibe. The decorations, the friendly and quick service were great. But, the stand out for me was the dj. Great music. Great music. And so approachable. The dj, Dave, is right there in the floor. We spoke for a few moments, he’s a hoot! If I didn’t have to catch a train I would have stayed longer. Stop in for a pint, you won’t be disappointed.

A well designed Irish Pub located right inside Penn station. Great place to have a quick bite and snake while you are waiting for your trains.

Excellent cocktails & pint of Guinness. From the group behind The Dead Rabbit. Can be crowded/lively/boisterous at times.

Overall rating: 4.9 Price: $23 for 1x cocktail SO GOOD ESPRESSO MARTINI OMG. I was getting a sandwich across the way at Aildoro and was about to head on vacation. I was a little concerned with eating food from an outside place but there wasn’t an issue. I need that machine in my apartment. The drink was soo good.

Came here to get the first shot of the day before “the day in New York” for my best friend’s birthday! Loved the switching marque and how easy it was to access! Staff was also nice!

A truly fantastic bar in Moynihan that feels like more of a neighborhood haunt than a bar in the middle of a transportation facility. Staff is friendly and attentive, selection is abundant - with an exceptional cocktail menu - and everything is reasonably priced. Exit is a destination in and of itself, and a place I find myself returning to on the weekends.

After watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and getting soaked, we went to the Irish Exit in Penn Station for a drink. This is a very cool Irish Pub with great cocktails and craft beer on tap. I started off with an Irish Cawfee that hit the spot. For my second drink, I had a Guinness. Our bartender was so friendly and provided excellent service. The Irish Exit is a great place to grab a drink.

The drinks are good. The place is massive. It’s always clean every time I come. There’s lots of room. It can get busy during game nights. The furniture and decor are nice. Staff is always pleasant. If you’re going to Penn Station, this is the place to be.

The sidecar cocktail with Hennessy is top notch. The drinks are well-crafted, the service is quick and the waiter was friendly. Probably my third time here and I’ve yet to be disappointed. It’s easy to order and pay from your table and the seats are very comfortable. Prices are a tad high but it’s well worth it. The preparation and presentation is similar to what you’d expect from a speakeasy.

Perfect Guinness, perfect cocktails and atmosphere. I couldn’t ask for anything more. I forgot I was in a busy train terminal for a second. They created something very special here ✨✨💚🧡, which is not surprising at all, considering that the Dead Rabbit team is behind this. The service is quick and bartenders are super hospitable. Mikey and Jacob, thank you!

I’ve been coming to this bar weekly for a while, it’s a great commuter bar and extremely close to MSG. The bar has improved in quality with their recently revamp (in 2023). Their bottle selection for gin and bourbon is great. The beer selection is good, I wish it rotated more. There has never been a bad bartender nor pour that I’ve had. The staff is extremely nice and does a great job working with crowded environments like on game days and train delays. Additionally, they have DJs a few nights a week! Hats off to this bar and swing in on your way in or out of town! Cheers!

A great pub in the middle of Pen Station. I’ve had a Guiness bear and it was spectacular. I’ve also had an espresso martini which was not good at all. My tip here is to avoid the cocktails cause they seem to be self ready prepared to pour into a glass.

Nice fresh pub! Guinness was crisp which was refreshing. But there was a blonde female server with a terrible attitude. Shaking her head at every request really soured the experience for me.

Treated ourselves to an Irish Coffee as our train was delayed and sadly it was so bad I couldn’t drink it all. A half shot of whisky, weak and overly sweet coffee and a drizzle of cream on top, with a price tag of $17!! All served with a rude indifference. Such a shame as the atmosphere was comfortable.

This is a corporate bar, typical of what you would find in an airport terminal, masquerading as an Irish Pub. Went by for a pint while waiting for a train at 11pm on a Monday Night (football and playoff baseball games still ongoing) and they told me they were closed. Walked 4 minutes to The Tailor on 35th and 8th and the man from Kerry behind the bar quickly poured me a pint and asked if I wanted anything from the kitchen that was still open. Skip this spot and walk the 4mins to The Tailor.

I need to be honest about what happened at The Irish Exit because it was unacceptable. The way I was treated made me feel completely singled out and disrespected. Staff looked me up and down, skipped over me at the bar, and served others who came in after me without hesitation. When I finally did get acknowledged, the tone was dismissive and flat-out rude — like I was a problem for even existing there. This wasn’t just “bad service.” It felt personal. It felt like I was being treated differently for reasons that had nothing to do with how I acted. No one should walk into a place and instantly feel unwanted, uncomfortable, or judged. I don’t care how “popular” this bar claims to be — no atmosphere makes up for discrimination, bias, or disrespect. The management seriously needs to take a look at how their staff treats people who don’t fit their narrow idea of a “regular.” I won’t ever go back, and I hope others think twice before spending a cent somewhere that can’t even treat all customers equally.

Beer selection is decent and bar staff is wonderful but this place transforms into a completely unacceptable club around 4pm with music louder than any club I’ve experienced in Vegas, NYC, or any other large city. Can’t even talk to the person beside you. Folks, you are a bar in a train station hall. Stop trying to be a club. Most folks passing through here are business travelers or families and want to be able to enjoy a beer or cocktail before their train; not damaging their ear drums.
