Titi’s Empanadas New York Reviews
I wanted to go to a place for a little snack before my nail appointment. I am so glad to go to Titi's East Village. They have a variety of options for empanadas. Also gluten free and vegan options as well. I ordered two carne mecha and one morir sonando and absolutely delicious. They also have dessert empanadas. Next time I will try their guava cheesecake ones. The place was clean and cozy. Staff were friendly and attentive.
Delicious and fresh. The cutest les restaurant. Quick eats meets fun hang out. We played domino's. Gluten-free free options. The pastry its self on the Empenadas were outstanding. Each filling tasted homeade. I got the Empenada flight, which gives you a taste of everything. The pavilion was my favorite. These sauces and dips were all flavorful and outstanding. We ate everything. The chopped cheese may be the best I ever ate. Bronx native. The Cuban sandwich was perfect. Great mustard. The pickles here are phenomenal. The guava cheese dessert empanadas was my favorite. Reminded me of something my mom.woukf bake for me as a treat. The guava jam ontop devine. The juices yummy. Loved pasdi9nfruiy but morir somado was awesome too.
My girl ordered two empanadas: chicken, and choripan. She also ordered the chopped cheese. The plan for her to "try" the food there, then pick up food somewhere else so we wouldn't have to go back out with the weather. She ate both the empanadas and half of the chopped cheese while there, so we decided to just dine in, and I ended up getting two vegan empanadas based on her enthusiasm with the foods' flavours. I've ordered the onion/mushroom empanada and the picadillo vegano. Both empanadas were amazing, but I loved the onion/mushroom one a bit more, especially with the vegan cheese inside and the sauce(s) it was served with. Had a great conversation with V, and the other V is MEAN on the grill. 10/10
((4.5 stars)) Titi's is empanada joint on East 7th Street, near Tompkins Square Park. serving variety of blended Venezuelan and NYC flavors in puff pastry shells, white & yellow corn pockets, OR sweet plantain vessel as well as some sandwich, dessert empanadas, and other options. the puff pastry empanadas are mostly baked while the corn ones are fried to crispy goodness. Titi's interior is colorful and eclectic like your crazy aunt's living room...it is homey, with a few booth seating options and a standing table. the space gives off a very casual fun vibe that isn't messy but also isn't overly neat...very chill...when you need to pause the craziness of NYC and eat some comforting calories. been here a few times, i can say this is a great addition to the neighborhood's food options. many of the empanada options are served in a baked puff pastry wrapping--like the chopped cheese empanada filled with seasoned ground beef and cooper's sharp American. ordered one of these because who doesn't like a good bodega-made chopped cheese? the empanada is filled to the brim with savory beef and melt cheese in a buttery flaky shell. it comes together nicely as meaty eat and evokes the classic bodega sandwich (Titi's also serves a traditional chopped cheese sandwich on a long roll hot off the grill if you want a much heftier serving of calories. my favorite empanada was the "papa con queso" corn empanada (one of the vegetarian options)--a soft potato and melted cheese filling enclosed in a golden brown corn empanada. the potato + cheese is such a great comfort food and very satisfying...the empanada is crispy on the outside and makes for a great combo with the potato cheesiness. the "Domino" corn empanada is another good vegetarian empanada--savory black beans (not mushy) in melted cheese in a crispy corn empanada...a satisfying bite that isn't superheavy. tried a "Pollo" corn empanada is seasoned moist chicken in a crispy soft shell. also had a drip coffee here--it was okay to good, but the focus is the food. the empanadas take about 6-10 minutes to heat up or fry...which i appreciate as the food comes hot outta the fryer or oven. don't sleep on the sauces: the green sauce was my favorite as it is a cilantro-based (plus other herbs) mayo dipping sauce. the service is very friendly even when they are busy. the staff is helpful and can make suggestions if you're unsure on what to get. definitely worth a stop for a snack or meal: 1-2 empanadas is a good snack option, while 3-4 makes for an enjoyable meal that allows for ordering a variety of flavors. oh, and there are a couple of vegan options for the non-carnivores.
Honestly may be one of the best places i’ve been to the city so far. If you want incredible venezuelan empanadas and tequeñons come here! the staff was truly so so so sweet and I will definitely be coming back next time im in the area. 10/10 eat here, support this business :)
The Venezuelan food made me feel right at home with its authentic and delicious flavors. The atmosphere is super cozy and family-friendly, and they even have traditional games like dominoes, which gives the place a unique and special touch. The service was excellent, everything was perfect, and I absolutely loved the cookies they sell, they were amazing! Definitely a place I’ll come back to and recommend 100%.
Delicious homemade empanadas. The staff was so helpful with recommendations. I enjoyed them all plus a great cafe cubano. I'll be back!
Recently visited the newly opened Tito’s Empanadas and was welcomed by amazing food, a great atmosphere, and friendly staff. My roommate and I split the empanada flight, came with 6 empanadas and ample sauce choices, all of which were amazing. Will be back!
So happy Titi’s is officially open in Manhattan! Their empanadas are incredible and they have something for everyone - sweet, savory, vegetarian, gluten free, etc! We ordered the Apizza, chopped cheese, papa con queso, pabellon, apple pie, and the special dessert empanadas and they were all so delicious and different! If I had to choose, my favorite was the chopped cheese, paired with some of their house made sauce and pickles. Also do not skip on the tequeños - they’re basically a tastier version of a mozzarella stick. Titi’s offers many items to choose from, so it’s a very easy spot to revisit and try something new!
The best empanadas! Vegan and vegetarian options. Friendly service. Would highly recommend!

Titi's is fantastic! They are always hosting fun cross cultural food collabs, including today's scallion pancake Cuban sandwich. The watermelon lime piragua was the perfect refreshment on this sublime summer Saturday!
The best empanadas I’ve ever had, hands down.
Bro, 10/10 place. They helped us on our film, and they were so kind, and caring for us. They take so much pride in their food, and you can tell! I'm vegetarian, and the vegetarian empanadas slap! Especially with the sauce? So good!!!
Crazy good empanadas - my partner and I shared the empanada flight as a takeout order, and I'll be thinking about these for a while. Nice variety of fillings, crusts, and sauces - definitely recommend ordering the flight to get acquainted with everything Titi's has to offer. In particular the puff pastry crusts were so flaky and buttery, but the corn and platano shells are great too. So glad to have this place in the neighborhood and can't wait to return.
The Chicken & cheese and Choripan empanadas were amazing. The chopped cheese sandwich was really good (my first chopped cheese ever). The service from V and V was perfect. Loved their recommendations
YUM! Delicious empanadas, cool staff, chill space. Oxtail empanada, A1. Chicken & Cheese empanada, delishhh. For sure would recommend and hope to be back soon :)
real homemade house made empanadas - everything made and delivered with love you can taste. Axel & Vee are puttin it down. pull up & show the some love 🖤
This place has the best food and the kindest employees. Huge shoutout to Jesus for supporting our student film! Also, great gluten free options!

The empanadas here are so. freaking. good. People at my job and I have become addicted and started ordering for lunch. Want to give the rest of the food a try, but the chicken and carne mechada empanadas are just to die for.
Titis has the best empanadas EVER!!! The service is amazing and everything is decorated so well. I will never go anywhere else for my empanadas from now on😊😊
Food was fresh and delicious. Only matches thing that matches the food is the service. Staff was extremely kind and friendly. My favorite was pollo en mole rojo but the choripan was a close 2nd.

Cute spot in the East Village to get a small bite or a coffee. I dropped in on a cold Winter day to get a warm empanada , which was a good idea . I ordered the Papa Con Queso (potatoes and cheese ) which they have to fry up fresh for you (other empanada are not fried.) There are cosy places to sit and several different sauces on the table (i liked the green herb one.) Staff are nice and the empanada was like $3.50. It was crispy and tasty - a nice snack if you're in the area .
The meat ingredients are very fresh, not dry, the corn and the puff pastry are delicious. I like the salsa and the pink sauce, definitely need to try a few other empanadas. The only thing they lack is a large larger menu like their competitor. But definitely better than their competitor .
First off, have to say what lovely guys working last night!!! They were so kind, attentive and personable! I really appreciated their service. My favorite ever is plantain flour so I was excited to try The Irby (shrimp empanada). It had great flavor and the crust was slightly caramelized and delicious. My ONLY issue: it only contained TWO tiny baby shrimps. I feel like for the price, can we get at least two regular sized shrimps inside? You wouldn't even know shrimp were in there. I also tried the Oxtail one and while the oxtail was cooked beautifully, falling apart and juicy- it had barely any flavor. It needed at least some salt? And also, barely any filling inside! For the price, can you please pack it up with a little more filling? I couldn't believe I spent $7 and barely got any oxtail inside. Maybe if they would have given me a sauce? I am reading that the sauces are good but we were never offered or told about them. I will come back to try some others that locals at Miss Lilys recommended but hoping for a slightly better experience food wise :)

It was ok. A bit over hyped. I came here based on a recommendation on social media. But the Empanadas were decent. Nice spot for a quick lunch.
Great food and reasonable priced, but some of the worst service and rudest employees I’ve ever encountered. My friend waited 30 minutes for 2 empanadas and never got his food. When we finally decided to just leave, the workers were super aggressive, claiming “they told us ahead of time” and only offered him 1 cold empanada.
