Westville East New York Reviews
We love coming to Westville in the East Village. It's incredibly welcoming, we feel like regulars and they are exceptionally kid friendly. To top it off, the food, wine selection and crafted cocktails are delicious.
The food was great, especially the Truffle fries. The staff was super nice and freindly and helped me in Spanish, Lina was my hostess and she was SUPER nice. Also the manager was great. I highly recommend.
Such a thoughtful restaurant! As a delivery driver, I really appreciate how Westville East goes above and beyond. They put out free water for us outside the restaurant — and on a day when it was over 90°F, that small gesture meant so much. I don’t see any other restaurant in East Village doing that. Thank you for caring about the people working hard in the heat. Respect!
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I ordered the Chilaquiles and was not disappointed. The huge portion of avocado was a great surprise considering the most places charge extra or give you a small amount. The arugula salad that accompanied the Breakfast Burrito was delicious.
Westville is such a huge fan favorite of mine and my mother’s! We’ve gone here at least 3-4 times within the few months I’ve lived in Manhattan. Great, healthy, delicious food options. An amazing choice for if you want something quick or light yet filling. Service is also very fast and attentive, which makes this place great for squeezing a quick lunch date (whether romantic, platonic, or familial)! All of which the prices are quite reasonable, so you’re not breaking the bank for a meal. 10/10 recommended and will of course be back!
I’ve passed this location for years and the logo is so bad i assumed that the food would be too. Thankfully, a local friend with impecable taste encouraged me to visit and the chicken sandwich blew my mind. The sprouts, to die for. The soup (didn’t have it, but impressed by the look of it). Great spot & can’t wait to try again!
One of Many... While dinning in-between shows we ate at Westville East. But not b4 1st joining their loyalty program on the app which got me $10 off my meal (be aware that only one $10off per table) The restaurant is small, quaint and staff Very Welcoming. We had a reservation for 5people and were seated immediately @5:30pm The wait-staff, bartender and bus-staff all work in tandem to make the Westville experience homey Everyone enJOYed their meals,(I had the special appetizer BBQ Chicken&Cheese Empanadas, delish & not pictured), however the fried chicken sandwich could use a bit more seasonings and less fying... Nice that there are locations all over the city. I will be eating at more next time I'm in the theatre district or at the JOYCE for dance
Google recommended them as a vegetarian restaurant, so I went there. The place is very nice, pleasant, cozy and positive. The service is very friendly. They have tables outside. I ordered a vegetarian burger with fries. The fries are standard (not greasy), but the burger is very tasty with nice sauce. I didn't feel heavy after eating it. I recommend it. It's not expensive.
This used to be my GO-to years ago when I would work on Hudson Street even though I live closer to east village location. All I can say if I went on Friday for dinner and the service is still exactly the same, friendly and sweet. My only complaint were my sweet potato fries came out and were cold and slightly soggy, I prefer them crisper and firmer but the cornmeal crusted shrimp were unexpectedly good and my friend had the Argentine bowl and said it was good. He thought for the price that could have been a few more pieces of steak which I agree with. The cider I had from Hudson Valley was delish!
Stopped into the new Upper East Side Westville a little after 4:30 PM to have a glass of wine and a bite. The dining room and bar were almost entirely empty. When I asked for a table (solo), the host told me the restaurant was “completely booked” and directed me to the bar, even though nearly every table was open. When I pressed him he said, "The restaurant will be entirely full at 5pm." This didn't feel right but I sat at the bar anyway. Only two other guests were there. After greeting me and pouring water, 15 minutes had passed and the bartender still had not returned to take my order. I left and went elsewhere. Walking by again around 6 PM, there were still open tables. The experience felt like I was being turned away from a table because I was dining alone. It didn’t reflect the hospitality I’d expect in Manhattan. I won't be returning. With so many great options in the city, feeling welcomed matters.
