I've visited this location twice now. The first was to redeem one free bagel and coffee, which were thoroughly enjoyed. The cashier at the time seemed a bit timid and shy when I asked her if panera-cup refills were cheaper than buying a new drink (for future reference). Upon today's visit, I banked on that free bagel again, but it was not comp'd surprisingly, as it even read on the receipt. But that goof was soon reversed when the gentleman who delivered my food to my table promptly issued me a refund for the bagel. The seating options were limited, but all available tables were clean, so I squeezed into one. And the Sandwich was incredible. I need to have more shredded meats. I look forward to future visits as this Panera is the best service I've received in the area thus far!

Love their food, especially the bacon, egg and cheese on an Asiago cheese bagel. They are a little pricey so not a place to eat on a budget. They have Tuesday deal on dozen bagels that I pick up for the office now and then. Only thing I don't like about them is the question about leaving a tip while the person ringing you up waits to see what you put down. I stopped going there for just coffee because it seems crazy to me to tip someone for handing me a cup so I can make my own coffee, especially since NYS raised their minimum wage to $10

Panera bread is a great place for a quick, healthy meal. My favorite is the Pick-2- a half sandwich and soup or salad. There are great varieties of soup from chicken and noodle to turkey chili. Sandwiches have various combinations- one of my favorites is the chicken- chicken, tomato and cheese. The ingredients taste fresh and staff did a good job of keeping the restaurant clean. Enjoy!

Quicker service thanthe usual experience at a Panera. My whole soccer team showed up and ordered. All the families got their food pretty quickly. The food was also good. Mac and Cheese is awesome!

The food at Panera is always great! You can always expect good food, always reliable. I love the fireplace and cozy booths, and the service is prompt. Handicapped accessible. The prices are a little high but I guess that's what you pay for quality.

Panera is always delicious. Some people complain about the cost for a sandwich, soup or a salad but their food is clean. I feel better about giving my family food that isn't filled with chemicals and I'm willing to pay a little extra for it. The cashier was friendly and quick. Our food came out fast. The restaurant was clean and they quickly cleaned the tables when people left. We like to sit on their patio when it's nice out :)

The best mix of sandwich shop and coffee house! This is a nice Panera, great food, friendly staff. The decor is relaxing, free WI-Fi, and Fireplace! A little busy at lunch time, but otherwise a great place to sit with a drink and work. They have mayonnaise packets that are all natural, so if you prefer that you can order your sandwich without dressing and then ask for the packets of mayo. Update, went here today (4-6-22) still great 👍

I bring my wife and kids at least every other week and we love it. My daughter who is almost 3 is very picky but when she has her favorite chicken alfredo tortellini she finishes it all! Its always clean here and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Great customer service.

You know what to expect at Panera, tasty and freshly made, albeit some from cans. plus they give you all nutritional information if you use the kiosk. The only four stars is due to too much sodium in ALl menu items, always 50% of the daily intake...

While the service was impeccable and beyond fast, the portion sizes for the amount you pay at Panera leave a LOT to be desired. I got the 2fer deal. I would be surprised if a small child would be filled with their half sandwich. The amount of meat on the half Turkey/Avocado BLT is a joke. I literally got one slice of over cooked bacon and two bits of Turkey, I had to search for the smear of avocado as well. Now... I'm not the biggest eater in the world, I usually bring a lunchable to work, for REAL. But when you pay almost $15 BEFORE the tip, you expect to get your money,'s worth right?

Typical Panera bread. This location is above average with good selection of breads and sweets. Restaurant section serves the usual Panera menu with soup in a bread bowl being my personal favorite. This is probably the healthiest and most comfortable fast food joint in this plaza.

The food and service were good. However, most tables were dirty, many with dishes or food remnants still on them. We were there just before 3pm, and lunch may have been busy. They seemed short staffed at the time, so I'll give them another shot. The food was worth the experience. 11-7-2025: lunch again was superb. All was clean and service very good 👍.

I went yesterday. Not today. The Mac and cheese was quite mushy. The BLT was fine, but a little bit messy with the mayo. (It was nice that they allowed me to use a large dollar denomination to pay for my meal, even though I only wanted twenties. I hope I wasn't inconveniencing them.)

Consistent food, a good choice for healthy-ish fast food. The French bread is not as good as before. But we do enjoy the Mediterranean veggie sandwich and the Turkey BLT. Kids like the Mac and cheese and tomato soup, but a bit over priced. It’s a good idea to get the pick two or family feast for a better deal.

Food's good, not happy with the dine in service. You have to pick up your food as opposed to the server bringing it over. Which is fine but the pickup area is in the back of the store you can't hear when the call your name and the app/text is delayed sometimes. Overall it's a good place to eat but their service structure is very confusing.

But wasn't that great for the price....chicken soup was great and the orange scone was delicious

Just signed up for the sip club through my phone Perks. Although I failed to show up in the system, the staff attempted to assist, and allowed me to get my first coffee, suggesting there may be a lag and recommending I check later and if I still didn't show up, to come back and they'd help me.

Place was very messy not what expect from Panera bread. Multiple tables needed to be serviced & looks like no one collected dishes all day. Also prices have skyrocket out of proportion

While Panera Bread is usually my go-to spot, this particular location didn't quite live up to expectations when we visited. Unfortunately, it was quite quiet and several items from the menu were missing, which was a bit disappointing. While I'm a fan of the brand, this specific experience fell short of the usual Panera Bread standard I'm accustomed to. Hopefully, it was just an off day, and future visits will be more satisfactory.

How do you run out of bread that comes with soup?Then they ran out of bread bowls... staff wasn't very friendly manager, made it up to us so overall still one of our favorite places.

Went to the counter to order. No one was there to take an order. Waited a few minutes and tried to call attention to the line waiting. It took a minute one girl came up looked at the register and left t. A guy came over and told us they were busy. Finally some one came over and said she had to jobs to cover she had to do the other things first. The expressed my disbelief that taking orders was not a first priority

No employees manning the front. Dirty tables. A baker in the back badmouthing his place of work in clear earshot of customers for a good 20 minutes. Please be disgruntled somewhere customers don't have to listen to your rant.

Our family visited Panera bread on a Sunday morning and the girl taking our order said a souffle wasn't available in a timely manner. She failed to mention any alternatives such as a different flavored souffle. Returned Friday of the same week and ordering was much easier however the self help station was completely unhelpful with no napkins for at least twenty minutes and no forks in sight. McDonald's has better service than I have received at this location this week. Hoping this is just a minor glitch and it will return to being the great place it has always been very soon.

panera, panera, panera. ive always wanted to enjoy this restaurant but i simply dont think its my fate. right when i finally found a food my picky palate could enjoy, the broccoli cheddar mac and cheese was discontinued not even a full year later. but it wasnt that big of a deal because i had been graced with an even better thing: the buffalo chicken melt. little did i know, when i craved it about a month or two after having it the first time i find out, they discontinued that too! this almost put me over, but i like to give chances sometimes so tonight when i didnt feel quite right and my mom insisted on getting me something from this place, we settled on a turkey sandwich with light mayo. i open the cold sandwich to find mayonnaise spilling out of the sides of the sourdough. really. in what world is that LIGHT mayo? these people seem to lack attention to detail and i, an angry 17 year old girl believe i could do the job better but for some reason nice guys always finish last and i have no chance. so, this is my goodbye, my final hurrah to panera, my sense of closure. i highly do not recommend this place for picky eaters despite how tempting it may be.

Our second visit because my wife still had money on the gift card. We both ordered the deli ham and soup special. The bread was fresh, but the soup was Campbell's from a can. Cinnamon buns were excellent. If you eat like a bird, Panera Bread is the place.

Good food, nice employees, but I don't think I've stopped when they DIDN'T mess up my order. They never get it right! Always forgetting something, giving the wrong items, ignoring substitutions and alterations to the food. As a vegetarian it upsets me greatly whenever I see they left the meat on my food. They seriously need to work on that.

Asked for no pepperoncini on the toasted Italiano sandwich had pepperoncini on it! Very disappointed I ordered from this location often!

I like Panera and the food- been a customer for ever and even though they have disappointed me time and again this past two years I have avoided publicly complaining- but unfortunately nothing seems to work. I have submitted feedback online on their company site, have asked for the manager at multiple occasions and given feedback but unfortunately no major change so I finally decided to leave a review hoping that such public complaints maybe more effective: even after the pandemic I have had items missing from my pickup order- I no longer trust them and double check my bag before leaving the store. About two weeks ago I checked my bag and noticed a whole order missing, went back to the counter and before I even opened my mouth they said it seems your order missed such and such! Another disappointment is how the cost of the food does not seem to change (if not higher) but the amount of food keeps shrinking. Here is the chicken/cheese on my frontega sandwich from tonight-not even half the size of the bread! When I have pointed these out to them at the store, the manager apologizes and offers free food/bakery! One would expect that customer service would actually translate into decongest customers ie: give folks what they order and don’t short change them- not much to ask

My review is up in the air here which is why I am leaving two stars... I ordered a soup and a salad and when I was done eating my soup, I found two smaller hairs in the bottom of the bowl. I was disgusted but the situation has been addressed and taken care of.

Usually great but off night for food. Hot Sandwich was cold and salads were thrown together. Presentation of food was careless. Where you pick up food and where staff prepares bags for "to go" orders was not 6' distance required by covid protocols. What's up with this Panera location?

I ordered a salad and it arrived without any dressing. I had to make my own dressing in order to eat the salad. Also the delivery driver didn’t not seem to practice social distancing or follow the delivery instructions I left on my order.

You would think because the word bread is in their name, And they present themselves as being healthy, that they would have whole grain bread to offer diabetics. As a diabetic it was very hard for me to get any carbs there. And what people don't realize is that diabetics need certain type of carbs in every meal every 4 hours of the day.

Curbside pickup. Followed instructions by sending text that I was there. Got a text back confirming and shortly there after got a text stating food is done and will be out shortly. 20 minutes later no food. My husband went in and it's sitting on a table by the door so he took it. Broccoli cheddar soup used to be great but this soup is so disappointing now. It is crazy watered down. And the flavor is just as diluted. Definitely will be my last time there. All around dissappoting service and meal.

Was disgusted that they allow employees and customers to smoke right by the entrance. Had an order to go and had wait until the air was cleared, I have asthma and a heart issue,not cool. We ordered a margarita pizza which was on the bottom of the bag with soup and Mac & cheese on top causing the toppings of the pizza to be stuck to the top of the box.

Ordered a bagel sliced with butter. It was sliced poorly, butter was frozen, and bagel was stale. Lesson learned… stick with Brueggers!

We orderd the broccoli cheddar soup for a group which was delicious. Your restaurant was out of baguettes so we opted for chips. We never got the chips and we had to wait to get our food because your employee had to complain about other staff members. Customers service was bad and the store was dirty, rugs, tables, kitchen equipment and counters could use a cleaning. Food was great, staff not so good.

$43 dollars for lunch for 2 and I left hungry. Very tiny and tasteless salad with hardly any chicken in it. My friend had a salad that was doused in dressing and a small mac and cheese and literally finished the m&c in 4 bites. So disappointing. Will not go back.

I’m part of the unlimited sip club the Panera bread on balltown rd in niskayuna, NY was horrible. The counters needed to wiped up where the soda machines were. The soda tasted flat they had none of the lemonades or green tea. The staff were just standing around talking behind the counter. Would not go there again very disappointed

The card reader was adding an extra tip charge when I went to pay for my order. I was told it was a system wide issue and wouldn't charge my card, but that wasn't what I saw on the screen. I know the man in line ahead of me had the same issue and was finally given the difference of the overcharge. When I challenged this, a manager came out of the back and got an attitude, dumped over the tip jar and said " here, take the 50 cents if it's such a big deal". I never back down from a confrontation, so I made a scene for the drama queen. Normally we like the Niskayuna location, not anymore. They are apparently skimming from customers and I outed them. I went to the Colonie location and this "system wide issue" didn't happen there(also the store is cleaner, better drinks). Something should be done about this Manager and the overcharging in Niskayuna

My fiancé and I dined at the Panera in Niskayuna this evening. The food itself was fine, typical Panera nothing special but nothing bad either. What caused this 1 star review was the absolutely unprofessional behavior exhibited by the kitchen staff. While sitting and attempting to enjoy a quick bite together we instead had listen numerous curse words coming from the employees who were making the food along with loud & inappropriate banter between the employees. Once we finished I ask to speak with that manager, I let them know about the cursing coming from the kitchen and I actually got the impression I was bothering her and that she couldn't be bothered with my complaint. She simply dismissed me an almost robotic "I'm sorry" while basically dismissing me on the spot. I don't normally leave reviews however this time I felt it necessary due to the overall experience I had. I certainly will not be returning to this location.

A sweet and charming friend of mine recommended we go to this Panera location for our meeting on Saturday. I had no problem with this suggestion for I've enjoyed all the Paneras I've eaten at. That is until now! Neither of the two cashiers were familiar with the menu. And, then they were out of many items. The place was quite busy at 3 pm, and the seating arrangement along the walls is congested. Tables and chairs are too close together, and I had my back to a table with a younger age group. They kept getting up and moving around and constantly pushing chairs back into me. The meal was fairly quick in coming. However, the broccoli cheddar soups were almost cold, though requesting them hot. And, the French Baguttes were like rock , over baked. I recd a salad with my soup, but I didn't order a salad, my order was for a chicken avocado melt. I went up to server_ pick up counter and explained my situation. A young man behind counter asked for my receipt. I explained the cashier told me when I requested it when paying for our meals that it comes with our meals. Thus was a first for me hearing this as a regular Panera Bread customer. So, I went up to the cashier that informed me my receipt would cone with my meal. And, she didn't know how to retrieve it even using my Panera card. She was going to get someone else to help her. Since we were on a time schedule I elected to eat the salad. That's when we both started to eat. And, right away, I noticed my friend eating her soup, and the spoon was dirty. We both them looked at all our utensils. And, I really should have taken a picture of the utensils. I went up to service counter everyone was busy with orders. So, I picked out some utensils and all the knifes and spoons were dirty. I said something to a man who was making sandwiches, and he yelled for someone to come out to see me. A young man, possibly a busboy, looked at the dirty silverware. And, then he said, "sorry about that, looks like the wrong trays were put out here." And, then he just walked away to clean some tables. I went to cashier counter and asked for clean silverware and received plastic ones. This overall experience will not ruin my going to the Paneras that I do, but this one is off my list as well as all the family and friends. If the health dept was open I would have called them.

Its been over a year since my last visit. The portions are still small and overpriced. Panera talks a good story but its looking for profits. Salad was terrible. You get 1 tablespoon of dressing. The sandwich was even smaller then last year. One half sandwich equals 3 bites. All for $7. The $25 for my two soups half sandwich and half salad I could have feasted at Burger king McDonalds KFC Moes Wendy's or the Wagon Train BBQ. I will not be returning.

I haven’t been to Panera bread in a while and decided to get some to bring home for the family for dinner tonight. The place is really dirty inside now and it is expensive for the small portions they now have. Next time I will just make the soup myself and get the bread from the local bakery. I will not be returning

Messed up my pick up order. Did not have all the items ordered. Food was good but I judge chains off location service quality. Messed up order will always get one star. Train your employees to replicate a receipt. Lucky for me there's 2 other Paneras equidistant from my location.

Just ate at this Panera. Food was absolutely disgusting. My husband and I got the pick 2. Both had the chili, it was water....his sandwich was swimming in sweet sauce and fatty chicken. My salad was ok.......we mentioned it to an employee on the way out and showed her the food, she said it was prepared properly there was nothing wrong with it. Won’t eat here again.

Your chances of getting a correct order at this location are about 5-10% at best. I'd just order something completely different than what you actually want, you'll probably have better luck that way. One time I ordered a normal chipotle chicken avocado panini and received a sandwich with just chicken and onion. That's it. No sauce, no cheese, nothing. How do you even mess up that bad?

Had a simple order and a simple question to just grab a few bakery items, my cashier was super unfriendly and I still played it off like maybe she was having a bad day. I still proceeded to leave a tip just to be nice and then said thank you ... I was met with “YUP” Many people are out of work, be lucky you have a job or at least fake it like most of us have to!! Visit was 11:20am Wednesday ... train your employees to be friendly or at least decent or you will continue to lose good customers.

I came here to work on my laptop. There’s always some light music playing in the dining area. Part of the kitchen area is open to the dining area and they were BLARING music. I like rap, but not while it’s blaring over the music playing throughout the dining area speakers at 7:30am while I’m trying to work. Hard pass.

Terrible customer service. All the coffee was cold when we got there. I ordered an iced coffee and when i asked the lady at the front where it was (najha), she told me with an attitude that i just needed to open my eyes and look for it because everything is there. Nahja was also on her cell phone the entire time, so of course the order took way longer than it should have. Finally, there was a huge line and the manager came over and literally just looked at and walked away- leaving one person at the cash register with the long line. I don’t usually leave bad reviews but i will not be going to this panera ever again.

I am a fan of Panera’s and enjoy their food and baked goods. I ordered a cup of soup and asked for a slice of soft bread rather than the baguette. I was told by the young lady who took my order that slices of bread were used for sandwiches ONLY and that if I wanted one I would need to buy a whole loaf. Sorry Panera I think that is a ridiculous policy!

Terrible experience any time i order from panera in schenectady. They need to get more competent help there. I always end up having to go back in because the order is wrong or something is missing in my bag. The employee I dealt with today was very rude when i explained the issue, making the process even more unpleasant. Was never compensated in lieu of their mistakes. I went to Panera Bread in Niskayuna, New York tonight to get my favorite sandwich, the Frontega chicken. I normally get it to suit my taste and I've been getting it this way for a long time and usually don't have a problem. I specifically ask on the order for NO chipotle sauce, NO cheese, and NO tomatoes. I'm not supposed to have any of these things. And I always ask for mayonnaise on the side to replace the chipotle sauce. When I got home the sandwich was completely and totally wrong. It had chipotle sauce, cheese and tomatoes, all things I had specifically said I did not want. Whoever made this sandwich did not look at the order at all. I had a terrible time trying to pick out the things that I didn't like out of the sandwich. I really think that when they make these sandwiches they need to pay attention to the order and not assume that the person wants it the original way

One worker was incredibly odd and made my husband feel uncomfortable. she follows him around everytime he comes in talking about how he smells. It was nice the first time but everytime he comes into the store to do his deliveries is weird. She even gave him a nickname “Versace guy” . He’s communicated to me how uncomfortable these incidents have made him feel which is why I felt the need to finally leave a review as I witnessed the harassment this time - He kept me on the phone this time so I could hear her harassment. Please train your workers to be considerate and civilized members of society instead of wagging their tails around like a dog in heat. God bless you all I hope this can be a learning experience.

This Panera has the incredible ability to get every single order wrong every single time. If you place an order for delivery or pickup, items WILL be missing. Every time. They check them off on the bag but don’t give them to you. They must be saving millions by not giving people what they pay for! Then they won’t refund you, they’ll just give you a Panera credit. You are better off with any other location.

Went to Paneras. Purchased a Cobb salad to go. Brought it home and it was disgusting. Found a small white hair in it. Had nothing in it except for eggs that Cobb salad should have. Called to complain to manager. He offered to give me another salad. I said absolutely not. Instead he offered to send me gift certicate in the mail for a refund for salad. It's now been a week and a half and never received certificates

Went to Paneras last night. My soup was warm not hot. The strawberry poppy seed salad was ok after I removed the soft squishy strawberrys and my baguette was stale. You had to use a great deal of force to cut it. Gave up. Shame on them. The strawberrys and the baguette should have been thrown in the trash not given to customers. Will not be returning

I am usually a big fan of Panera. Lately I have been coming here to get the chicken and wild rice soup and have not been able to get any. I visited here the other night during the snow storm praying that there was some available being that there was three hours left before they closed.To my disappointment there was none. My family and I decided to go with chipotle instead. I can’t imagine how much money they loose out on on a day to day basis.

June 25th went to Balltown rd Panera no line, cashier fast and friendly. Disappointed waiting for 1 breakfast sandwich and 2 lattes. Took about 15 minutes n I was only customer there. Non-employee no mask on leaning on food counter just talking with staff. Employee put sandwich up on counter while he and this kid kept talking over the food. Then waited for the girl to make lattes, but she was out behind counter talking with this kid too, apparently he was an ex employee. I am a nurse, and with the crazy year of health scares due to pandemic.. it was sad to witness the non-care by these young kids. I know the mask mandate is over but how would u feel IF 2 strangers are talking over the food you are supposed to enjoy that you paid for. Very disappointed. Cashier was nice, store was clean. Very poor service with boy making sandwich and the girl making lattes.

Ordered online for a specific time. Order was late and not prepared correctly. Called to get sandwiches remade. Was told they would be ready when I got back to restaurant. They were not. Had to wait almost another hour before they gave me my corrected food because the manager who handled the order was intentionally being an a**. I was so angry, that despite my family being quite hungry, I gave him the food back for a refund. They have lost my business forever!

Waited over 25 mins for my food when it was ready the whole time. The staff were too busy talking to send out the text to me that my food was ready. I will never again go to the one on balltown road in Schenectady.

This location is the worst, everytime i come they forget something in the order. This time i didnt get my side for my pick two or even a a fork to eat my salad with. They ignored the Extra salad dressing on the side i requested. The last visit they actully forgot the chicken in my chicken salad. When i mention it I did get a cup of chicken on the side. This location have to do better!! Just look at all the one star ratings, hope the manger and employees do better.

Nobody wants a 2 day old, pre-made yogurt parfait. They used to be fresh. Plus they tried to forget my scone and then DID forget my cream cheese on my bagel. But don't worry they tossed me one packet of cream cheese so I could put it on myself... With not even a sorry that I had to come back in. This place is awful. Try Latham or skip the trip altogether.

I ordered my food on my lunch break from work at 11:54am and was told they would text me when my food was ready. I waited in the store for over 25mins waiting for my food. The cashier thankfully said you should go check around the corner it’s probably done. As I walked back to the pick up station 3 employees were standing there talking, I get a 30 min lunch break. By the time I was able to get my food to eat it was cold. I will not be returning to this location ever. I should not be getting cold food I spent $22 on.

People are rude and disrespectful. They have rat fecal matter on their pastries. They never get my order right. The manager Vince is terrible.

The entire pastry section in this place is open and unsanitary. Anyone anytime can just sneeze all over it or Flys can we all over your bread or pastry. The staff was nice but panera needs a better plan.

Love the strawberry summer salad. As of today, there are 5 blueberries, a sliver of pineapple and one strawberry cut in tiny pieces. The worst insult beyond that is the half teaspoon of dressing in each of 2 cups (picture attached). C'mon people, you are making enough $$$. Offer value to us.

I was last there on New Year's day. My first time after the new renovation. I am normally pretty happy with the food here but this last time was atrocious. The bakery staff may have been hungover the night before but my roll was literally flat and did not rise at all. I looked around at other people's food and all the baguettes were flat too. My soup was flavorless, my salad was ok but underdressed. I tried to cheer myself up with blueberry scone and a latte but they had run out of coffee and my scone was only a little more cooked than raw. Very disappointed and hope this is a one off.
