Best Chinese food in Oakland

I always have loved Eggroll Kitchen. I recommend the Beef & Broccoli over rice with extra Shrimp (2x). The Shrimp WonTon Soup with extra Green Onions & the Dry Fried Ribs. 😋

The food was incredible! Had the fried rice, sweet and sour pork and the chicken chow mein. All were delicious and we loved the hand-made signs inside!

East Oakland hood staple for dry fried ribs, chow mein, sweet & sour, and everything Chinese food. It's an old school hole in the wall. Mom and Pops owned joint. Food is always good, affordable, and on point. They have Combo meals for a nice and fair price.

BRING CASH, Classic old school American Chinese food. This place been open for 47 years( I know because I asked the lady working behind the counter). It taste like it did when I was a small child. The dry fried ribs taste the same..I remember when me and my dad would go get haircuts at Jackie's cuts and Styles a few doors down and my dad would buy a Quart of dried fried ribs. We could sit in the van post hair cut eating dry fried ribs with hot mustard. IT TASTE THE SAME. No it's not pretty but the food Go Crazy. I didnt get to take a picture because I ate it too fast.

Loved this place for years. They have tasty drief fried ribs. I haven't come here in over 20 years. I finally went back, and now my family loves it. Definitely worth it.

Me and my daughter love this place but a fortunately haven't been there in a while or shrimp fried rice with extra onions what I got was shrimp fried rice with one shrimp in there and no extra onions my daughter ordered some fried rice and got six shrimps imagine that and you're paying extra for it I will not be back

They've been around forever, and really, nothing has changed. I'm talking 40 or more years! The food is the same, too. Good old-fashioned Chinese food. Except I didn't remember that the chow mein was made with fat noodles, which I don't care for. But the house fried rice , the sweet and sour pork and the egg rolls were delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.

Good food and service. Made to Order. Wait times can be lengthy, but definitely worth the wait. CASH ONLY

I know yal like to tussle and a ton of you swear by your loyalty to this place but it's not it! I ordered ahead and she didn't start cooking until I arrived . The food portion size is scarce. The food is trash. The dry fried ribs I received weren't even edible and I only received 4. 2 shrimp in my fried . I'm srry I tried but I'm going back across the street.

I grew up eating egg roll kitchen it is horrible know They use rice as a filler ,rice barely had green onions, I got sweet sour chicken also back n the day it was good.Not no more it dont got the bell peppers ,onions,tomatoes are pineapple are nothing like it used to just 6 small lil piece of chicken smh

The noodles were dry, and the fried prawns were cold. The fried rice lacked soy sauce. I ordered shrimp fried rice and shrimp chow mein between the two. I only had four shrimp. I will not advise anyone to eat here. Poor customer service and poor food quality.

I called in my order at 10:59 am. The lady stated my order would be ready it would take 10 to 15 mins. I got to the place at 1140, and the lady was ready to take my money. But the food wasn't ready?!? What is the purpose of calling in when you haven't even started my order yet. I walked out. Never again 😒

Don't eat/but the bok choy from here, it's riddled with black small bugs! They must don't believe in Washing the greens 🤷🏽‍♀️. We took one order back, they said they would make it over. Once we got home, we noticed multiple black bugs in the new order. So this has to make us wonder, what else are they not being hygienic with? We won't be going back here. It is unethical to sell customer's dirty food. We also ordered egg rolls that were sour-- I let my dog have those. It's time for them to pack it up and leave the hood-- we don't eat dirty food.
