Thai Taste Kitchen Oakland Reviews
Large group friendly!! They were super polite & easy going about our split checks. The food was amazing!! Fresh, delicious, & super cute. My vegan friend had a great selection, & I had chicken so soft it felt melty delicious. This restaurant is worth going to!!
Great food and I loved the outdoor seating! I asked if I could make mine spicy and they said they can make anything spicy. They gave me a small container cup thing of VERY spicy chilies. I mixed about 3/4th of it into my curry, because I am a spice fiend. Would not recommend more than 1/4th of that unless you eat randomly ghost peppers.
Stopped by for dinner and was seated right away. The staff is super helpful and answered all the questions we had. They were attentive and friendly. Everything we ordered was amazing and they had great portions to share. We fell in love with their mango sticky rice too. Coming back here to try more dishes!
Had the BBQ Chicken with Papaya Salad and Sticky Rice. It was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and friendly and the food was expertly cooked. Calamari was very tasty as well. Phone and in person service was friendly and efficient and we were also thanked on the way out. A+ experience, all-around. We will be back!
My husband and I were searching for a comfortable neighborhood restaurant with a low key vibe, great food, and reasonable prices (also vegan options). This place is all those things and more! We've been going for several years now, and the food is consistently delicious. Our regular order is avocado fresh roll, pad kee mao with tofu, basil fried rice with tofu, and mango sticky rice. Whoever buys their produce is amazing - the avocados and mangos are always perfect - and the chef is excellent too. Honestly, they've ruined other Thai places for me. Also, they have a really cute back door patio, complete with space heaters. Try it out! You won't be disappointed!
We hurried to get here before closing time and it was well worth it. Every dish we tried was really good. If it was a bit warmer I would have loved to sit on the back patio. The place is certainly bigger then it appears when you enter.
Super delicious. Great service. The best Thai restaurant that I have ever been to in US. The following pictures are for mango sticky rice, avocado salad and khao soy.
I always come back to this place since my favorite Caribbean restaurant closed, a long time ago now. And I must say this place did not disappoint. Firstly I LOVE Thai food, and the menu selections were great! Service was friendly. Everything is beautiful, the surroundings AND the meal presentation. Everything appears to be prepared with care. Food was delightful and delicious! I had my fav sticky rice with mango.
It’s located on Piedmont very unique Thai Restaurant. When you walk-in you’ll see the chef preparing the meals. It’s open concept kitchen the dining room it’s not so big but you can always walk to patio at the back. Good for big parties or small and kids friendly. Foods are amazing. Check this place out.
This place is yummy, Thai food is my comfort food and the food here is gorgeous 💖 loved the service! The place is huge and the outdoors is super neat! Must try place for me and will definitely come back again.

This place is definitely lacking in atmosphere but the food is incredibly good. There is some seating so you can eat there. Many folks order to go as I did. High quality food always freshly made with the best ingredients and you get a lot of options at order time. I asked for something extra that wasn't actually listed and they were happy to accommodate. I appreciate how close this place is as I used to have to drive a long way to get food like this but now I will just be going to Thai Taste. Prices are quite reasonable and portion sizes are generous. I look forward to sharing this gem with others.
The Pad Se Ew was an amazing texture and flavor and a crisp Singha went nicely with the meal. The mango sticky rice was also pretty incredible. We sat on the back patio on the edge of it where they walked past to take out the garbage. I would absolutely recommend changing the route of how you take the garbage out because I got some really bad whiffs of smell while we were eating when the garbage was being taken out right next to our table.
The food was great. I had the pad thia noodles and the avocado spring rolls that came with a peanut and sweet and sour sauce. Food came out quick and it was piping hot. The patio seating was nice as well as the service.
Thai Spice has good food and ok sized portions. The service is always good and the establishment is very clean. Lunch combos come with a side, I usually get pad see ew with pot stickers. Pad See Ew: loaded with chicken and veggies and the ryte amount of flavor. Thai taste is a definite ‘must try’ if you’re in Piedmont and like Thai food.

Ordered takeout over the phone, got there and it wasn’t ready. The lady was so quick to retake my order, and they made it up in just ten minutes. Both the Pad See Ew and the basil chicken were DELICIOUS, exactly the flavors and textures you want from comforting takeout. Will definitely be coming here again!

Since Kaiser Hospital closes at 5, I was forced to find something to nearby for pick up. I ordered Ba Mee Moo Dang Poo and Thai Tea. The Ba Mee Moo Dang Poo is Egg noodle topped with garlic, green onions, roasted pork and crab meat served with soup on the side. I gave this a try because it is listed under their Street Food section. The roast pork didn't have much flavor compared to Chinese style and even my own cooking. It was tender but not sweet. There were about 7 slices of pork, bits of crab maybe 2 tablespoons, and a few small pieces of green Asian vegetables. It was a good size bowl of egg noodles. The Thai Ice tea was flavorful as it should be. The total was $20. They have a small dining area in the back and an outdoor section. I would probably try other menu items if I were to try again. There are several restaurants along Piedmont to try. There is only metered street parking and parking lot nearby.

The restaurant was freezing and had their door open the whole time which is why it was so cold. The service was mediocre and the pad Thai was too. The avocado rolls were amazing however and the pumpkin curry my friend got was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed the mango sticky rice.
Sorry but this was some of the most tasteless and bland Thai food I've ever had. Even the white rice was bad.

I would have previously given this spot 5 stars, but most recent take out order had meat in the pescatarian dish. This is really concerning and upsetting. The pumpkin curry was also pretty bland and a very small portion. Quality seems to have gone down from a couple years ago, disappointed.

Good food. Mediocre service. Found a long black hair in my curry dish and pointed it out to the waiter. He without question took it back to the kitchen to replace it with a fresh dish. It was inconvenient and I did not receive any discount. Barely received an apology.

pad Thai tasted ketchupy, the only thing I somewhat enjoyed was the papaya salad and they took a $10 tip without my authorization on my card. I clearly wrote my total and they helped themselves to a tip I never authorized. I have no way to dispute this with my bank without shutting down my card and still have to get home.
