Falafel Oaxaca Reviews
Amazing experience, in a lovely setting. Service was great and fast and the food is probably one of the best I have had ! You must get the baba ganoush. I suggest booking in advance, but we only had to wait 30 minutes for a table on a Saturday night without a reservation. Couldn’t recommend enough !
the most charming place with exellent food. Some of the best falafel I ever had, and I've had it all over. The fresh pita was also to die for, make sure to come hungry. The atmosphere was lovely, super cute place with lots of plants on the covered courtyard. My waiter was very kind, professional and patient. Highly recommend.
Little hidden gem! I had a wonderful dinner over there. Best middle eastern food in the area. I tried a platter of 5 choices: tabuli, babaganoush, roasted cauliflower, hummus babek, hummus shawarma (the best choice). Platter with 2 meats is 510, with one meat 420. Great option to try multiple dishes!! The service was great, my waiter was excellent. Even though normally tabuli and other dishes would be made without cilantro, here you have to inform before hard if you don’t want it.
we are considering staying another night in Oaxaca just to come back to this amazing restaurant. We’re both veg and found A full menu of options here. Even joining just five minutes before closure, they took us in to share a table with a family and gave us the most divine feast. Definitely recommend.
Food was amazing, we loved every bite, so flavorful and fresh, would only recommend to maybe think about increasing the portions size. For example the labaneh, borek and the baklava were particularly tiny. However, that don’t take away the fact that all of it was very delicious and the ambience was very pleasing. Would come back again!
I loved the location and magical atmosphere at Adamá. The name of the restaurant comes from the Hebrew word for ground/earth, and it's appropriate. I enjoyed sitting in the indoor-outdoor location under the stars during a perfect dry season evening. I tried the fluffy pita bread and the lamb kebab. It as perfectly seasoned! I went early (by Oaxacan standards) for dinner and as I left a little before 8:00pm, the place was full! If you are going to dine here as a group, I would make reservations!
Highly recommend getting a meal at Adama during your visit to Oaxaca. Delicious & authentic middle eastern food, great service and lovely ambiance. One of the best falafels I have had - it was crisp and moist. We also had hummus, another dish and ice cream. Overall a great dinner experience and wonderful night!
As a California native who has access to hundreds of Middle Eastern restaurants, this was some of the best Middle Eastern food I’ve had - especially here in Oaxaca of all places. Seating is limited, but we were able to walk-in and get seated right away. The restaurant is tucked away off one of the most charming streets I’ve ever seen in Oaxaca, and has a beautiful entryway covered by lush vegetation, leading to an intimate courtyard surrounded by brick floors and terracota walls. We ordered the Hummus with Shawarma, Falafel, Salad, and Cauliflower; was a perfect amount for 2 people and would recommend everything we tried.
Adama has chill vibes, is tucked any in a little corner off the street, and serves some intensely good food! The atmosphere is instantly relaxing, and the wait staff (and owner, who welcomed us) were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend the pickles and pickled olives - they import them from Israel! Oh, and get there early if you can! We missed the salads as they were all out when we arrived less than on hour before closing. Will definitely be going back.
Everything — the food, the service, the ambiance — was top notch. Our server, Pablo, was amazing and suggested we try the lamb hummus. It was absolutely out of this world — tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We finished with the tahini ice cream, which was creamy, unique, and the perfect way to end the meal. Highly recommend this place. Can’t wait to come back!
We absolutely love this place; it's one of our favorites. The service is attentive without being overbearing, the food is always excellent, and the ambiance is cozy and romantic. And one of the most important details is that many places in town do not have is an excellent selection of music that allows you to have a conversation without needing to yell. We come here at least twice a month if not more. It's also a great place for gathering with friends for a nice mellow night of dinner and drinks!
