La persona que me atendió me preguntó con mucha empatía si tenía restricciones alimenticias y con una gran sonrisa y lleno de creatividad integramos las preferencias alimenticias al menú. Es triste pensar que esto no pasa así de amable en muchos sitios , y resalto lo hermoso que me hicieron sentir. Gracias y Gracias a la excelente cocinera ! Todo delicioso ! ( Ensalada fresca, crema de tomate con aguacate, pollo a la naranja, verduras , agua fresca - y baja en dulce- de piña, y se dulce unas bananas con salsa de chocolate ). 🤤 Y el lugar/ decoración es mágico ! El lugar es genial. Perfecto para platicar, desayunar rico y lejos del bullicio de la falsa sociedad. Hay dos opciones de ambiente. Uno al aire libre en un patio o pasillo y otro en una habitación con objetos y aparatos antiguos. Los dos son encantadores. Los alimentos están bien preparados, la atención es pronta y expedita y la música ambiental está de lujo porque el volumen es adecuado para platicar.

Un lugar muy bonito, el personal es demasiado amable. La comida es deliciosa y muy balanceada.

Beautiful, cute and quiet cafe tucked away from the hustle bustle. Coffee was delicious!!! Best I’ve had in all of Mexico thus far. The staff was extremely friendly and despite our language barrier, he did his best to speak to us about attractions and hot spots for day trips, as well as accomodate our special requests. The food was good, and at great prices too. Overall, a wonderful experience all together.

This is one of the best hidden spots in Oaxaca. Everytime I come I am struck by how gorgeous and unique it is! The breakfast is filling (classic - enchiladas, frutas, chilaquiles etc.) and the owner is so friendly. I would absolutely recommend this place if you find yourself in Xochimilco!

Coffee is good. Was greeted warmly, and despite my broken Spanish we still had smiles and laughter. The ambiance is wonderful. Lots of plants, trees, flowers, and old cobble stone and brick textures. Very calm and great for a relaxing afternoon.

Great vibe. Great service. Great food. I felt the love in the onslaught of dishes that I ordered. The Enmoladas, the Quesadillas, the Guacamole, the Tomataladas... even the ginger tea. Also, they have a cat who is a delight. Playful. Probably only 2 years old. Anyway. I love this place. My favorite spot in Oaxaca to eat, and I’ve been spoiling myself for the last week. Highly, highly recommended. Worth the drive and walk.

Such a beautiful place. My friend brought me here as she had already been and loved it. Had the menu of the day and the food was excellent, perfectly sized portions which were so inexpensive. Service was really incredible, the waiter was the kindest man and even brought my food out more quickly when I needed to leave earlier. Will definitely revisit.

I'm giving 5 stars for the whole experience. Even the walk there is a pleasure! Walk up Rufino Tamayo along the aqueduct, cross busy Niños Heroes into the tranquil barrio of Xochimilco. The murals lining the street are stunning. The entrance to Antique is hidden off a gated pedestrian street (there's a small sign) that curves around to Ancestral, which is right next door. The 4 course comida is a great value and, while not always stellar, is fresh and healthy. The petite dining area in a small shaded garden is absolutely tranquil, as is the classical music played at a reasonable volume. The owner and the chef can't do enough to assure your comfort- they're very charming and attentive. Arrive around 2:00 as the daily comida, listed on their Facebook page, may run out. Closed on Sunday.

Absolutely incredible place. You feel like you've been transported to a hidden paradise, tucked away in Xochimilco inside a beautiful secret garden. The food is some of the best I've had in Oaxaca, so make sure you're here for the menu del dia at 1:30. The service is also wonderful and attentive. Don't miss this magical place!

I love love love this tiny restaurant tucked away behind remnants of the old aqueduct. I always sit in the back Courtyard Garden in front of the tiny fountain to have my meal of the day. The owners are super friendly as well.

Es un café escondido en un lugar muy bonito, la decoración hace honor a su nombre, es bastante tranquilo, la atención del propietario es muy amable, nos ofreció una entrada con papaya picada. Los precios son ligeramente más altos que en los otros cafés de la zona y las porciones son pequeñas por lo que no quedarás saciado. Lo recomiendo si estás buscando un sitio tranquilo solamente para tomar un café y conversar a gusto. Y una pequeña observación, en el menú ofrece "enchiladas" de coloradito (mole), pero son enmoladas 😉.

La verdad todo muy bonito, muy rico, calmado, si quieres un lugar calmado, tranquilo aquí está muy bien, el lugar es hermoso, quieto, eso sí caso no llega la señal de teléfono.

Had the weirdest experience there. The place looked very pleasant and had a nice menu, but the staff just made me feel very unwelcomed. It started with the fact that I got minuscule servings. I thought that’s their style… but then a 5 years old came and got normal portions. Then I wasn’t offered tortillas or water while other tables were. In the end they charged me 65 for a cappuccino when the whole meal was 159 but did not tell me that when I ordered. I left a tip but did not get a simple thank you. Really weird vibe. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this place even though I really wanted to like it.

I live in Xochimilco around the corner and have wanted to try this place for a long time. Yikes - absolute horror of an experience! Place was swamped with only one waiter, food took forever to come and when it did arrive they brought it staggered - my dish first, then about 20 more min for my friend's dish, then another 10 min for the last plate. So awkward. Food was mediocre and expensive, coffee tasted like instant coffee. My waffles came drenched in basic Aunt Jemima syrup - diabetes express. Never coming back
