Alfred Coffee Pasadena Reviews
First time to this location, and parking can be tricky, but clean and good vibes. Seating inside and out. Friendly helpful staff. Good menu, fair prices, would return and recommend.
A nice little coffee shop. Came here to tried their "world famous vanilla latte". It's definitely better than your average Starbucks but for almost $8 it's pretty steep. This place has limited indoor seating area, but there are a few tables outside the cafe where you can sit down and chill.
One of my favorite cafés in LA! Love their coffee, pastries and their packaging! The seasonal flavors are amazing too. I highly recommend their chagaccino latte or their matcha latte ☕️. The cold brew is great too. The bagel is pretty solid and they allow you to add hella toppings for free like capers, onions etc. 🥯 🌱 Overall, a pretty good spot to grab your morning coffee! Herb & Toma Pastry: 5/5 Chagaccino Latte: 4.75/5 Bagel with cream cheese: 4.75/5 Breakfast Burritos: 4.5/5
Love their vanilla latte Best place to pick up your coffee but not a great place to dine in
I'm so glad that Alfred is finally in Pasadena. I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now but never had a chance to go to LA. The matcha is not bitter and taste good. There are a couple seats inside, and a few small tables for outdoor seating. I like that the customer service was good and I didn't have to wait long for my drink. I would come back to try their coffee next time.
Great matcha that doesn’t even need sweetener because the quality is that good. The people working are friendly and pretty fast getting out the drinks/ food.
I kept hearing about this place so I finally decided to try it. I really liked the rich flavor of the coffee. I got a latte with almond milk and thought it was delicious. I also tried the greeny bagel. The bagel was fresh and super tasty. I liked that it was not huge and overloaded. I would go back!

There are a lot of good coffee shops in Pasadena, this place is definitely top 3, the cloud coffee drink was insanely good.

Alfred Coffee is one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere is stylish, relaxed, and welcoming — perfect for meeting a friend or enjoying a quiet moment alone. The drinks are consistently excellent, thoughtfully made, and delicious. It’s one of those places where you instantly feel good being there. A Pasadena favorite.
As a devoted coffee enthusiast, I can confidently say this is one of the best spots in LA. The coffee is top-notch, as is the service. On top of that, my wife — who’s notoriously hard to please when it comes to coffee because she doesn’t like it sweet — finished her cup completely. That means her request was heard, and the coffee was made perfectly. Thank you!
Awesome coffee shop! We had great service from Isabella!!! Will be back again!

Great coffee ☕️ We walked to this nook of a coffee gem, as we had an hour wait for breakfast. The place was packed on Saturday morning so service was slow but understandable. If you are in Pasadena downtown you must stop and try their world famous vanilla latte!
Was a nice and cool atmosphere came here actually in the morning and when I had the latte which was good. I had to come back to come leave a review. Awesome staffs , friendly and helpful with my selections. Sorry I am picky I said and they were like it's all good,
The coffee tastes good and the beans have special aurora. You can sit on the rose parade and enjoy the sunshine.
Buritos comes pre-packaged (aluminum foil?), so I could not get a veggie one without cheese. They are open at 7am on Sun. Nice atmosphere. See photos. They have Truvia sweetner.
"During my recent visit to Fresh Bagels in Pasadena, I had a mixed yet overall positive experience. As a European, the frequent requests for tips were a bit overwhelming, but understandable given the different cultural practices. The coffee was delightful - rich in flavor and well-prepared. The bagels, while tasty, initially disappointed as they were served squashed. However, I appreciated the staff's quick response in remaking the bagel. This gesture showed their commitment to customer satisfaction. Overall, despite a small hiccup, the quality of food and service at Fresh Bagels was commendable and very tasty

I don’t get the hype. I’ve tried the drinks here a couple times and they’re overpriced and not to my taste. Got the peach Palmer for summer and all the syrup was left at the bottom since they didn’t mix it properly.

Nice setting and good service but americano wasn't that good and the cup kept leaking which is annoying. No cash payment option is rather annoying

Really good espresso most of the time, good house drinks, food is okay but really small portions for the price. Edit: used to be the best place in old town for espresso, service and drink quality have significantly declined in the last couple months

Ridiculous. I can’t excuse the level of incompetence at this location. Incredibly SLOW every time I have given them a chance. You make me wait 40 minutes for an iced coffee with zero apologies, on a second visit I waited 20 minutes for just a pastry that was forgotten about while everyone after me is getting their drinks. I would be OKAY with the slow service if you could at least be courteous and apologize when you forget people and their orders which happens WAY TOO OFTEN.
I’ll start by saying the staff were nice. Bland coffee, cappuccino was nearly indistinguishable from a cup of hot milk, awful seating options, sold out of food options in the middle of the day. Don’t get the hype, won’t come back.
Went in to get the cloud latte and specifically said I didn’t want it with the nondairy foam but they did what they wanted and gave it to me with the coconut foam. Disappointed
