Moom 48 Pasadena Reviews
We enjoyed our meal that we came back the next day for lunch. Food was delicious and staff is very friendly. They are willing to make modifications to your dish such as, no sugar or spicier. Highly recommend if you’re in Old Town Pasadena.
The meal was amazing! We came in a large party and the restaurant was super accommodating with us even though we missed our resevation time. For apps we had spring rolls, chicken satay, and wings. They were all piping hot, crispy and so delicious. I ordered duck curry. It was packed with flavor and came with tons of duck. My bf ordered crab fried rice. There was literally so much crab in there!!! We didnt expect it to have so much actual crab meat as most places skimp out on it but it was amazingly delicious.
Moom 48 Thai in Pasadena absolutely delivers on flavor. I ordered the Panang Curry, and it was incredible — rich, creamy, and full of depth. The balance between the coconut milk sweetness, the subtle spice, and that aromatic Thai basil was spot on. It had just the right amount of heat to wake up your palate without overpowering the dish. The texture of the curry was silky and perfectly clung to the rice, making every bite warm and satisfying. You can tell the ingredients are fresh — the vegetables still had a nice crispness, and the sauce tasted homemade, not overly salty or heavy. The restaurant itself has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, perfect for both a casual lunch or a relaxed dinner. The staff were friendly and attentive without hovering, which made the whole experience even better. In short: Moom 48 Thai captures that perfect mix of comfort and authenticity. If you’re craving curry that hits every note — spicy, creamy, aromatic, and satisfying — the Panang is the move.
Great place to have authentic Thai Dishes! Service is great, prices are reasonable. Great dining experience. Definitely coming back!
The service was super fast and efficient, making a seamless dining experience. The food was both filling and delicious, we ordered Pad Thai with prawns, green beans with garlic and butter (you need to order rice separately for that, and gyozas as appetizers. It all came out quite fast and was delicious. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the generous portion sizes. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is quite chilled and cozy. Located in a vibrant area filled with shops and restaurants, finding parking can be a bit limited on the streets nearby. However, there are a few not expensive parking structure close by.
Food's awesome and authentically good. Loads of veg options and you can choose anything and keep the meat and seafood out too. The chilly here is nippy so be careful when even ordering a medium option. I made the mistake but the folks here were kind enough to give me some peanut sauce to call things down. Hot tea for comfort!
Delicious Thai food. You will never regret dining here. I love this place for the kindness of the staff and the welcoming atmosphere.
This is top notch Thai food, The food is amazing and the service is awesome. I absolutely love the Tom Yum! The drunken noodles were a little too spicy even though it was supposed to be mild. It still tasted very good. I love Thai food because there's an explosion of flavors. The price is around the $20 mark for a single dish. Definitely worth eating here. Highly recommend.
Under a new management, the old town Fair Oaks Thai placea has a new face lift and more selective items. The service was great and with friendly staffs who recommended what we've ordered. What set them apart from the other hundreds of Thai restaurants is their pork BBQ with sticky rice. The sticky rice is unlike the sweet mango sticky rice and surprisingly addictive to eat. The pork with the sauce is savory and sweet, which went well with the sticky rice. The Shrimp Tom Yum soup was not as sour or spicy than other place and honestly, just the way I like it. They were generous with the shrimp. We also ordered the drunken noodles which we couldn't stop taking one bite after another. It went really well with the dry chili powder that we requested separately. The atmosphere gives an intimate modern vibe, so don't be mistaken for them being closed. Overall, we can see ourselves coming back for more. The food are reasonably priced for old town Pasadena and the location is just convenient for us who lives here.
I ordered the chef special Hat Yai with steam rice, Thai wings and Tom ka veggie soup(s) all the food was amazing! Thr chicken was plump and succulent and juicy. The wings were so sweet and spicy. Very flavorful the Cole slaw cabbage was refreshing with the wings. The soup was sooooo good. So many veggies and it was filling enough to share for a small portion. This place is a Must if your on Colorado and crave some fresh Thai food.
The service and food was amazing! We got the Pad See Ew, Yellow Curry, and Mango Sticky Rice and everything was great! Would highly recommend!
The service was prompt & the food was delicious! My chicken Pad Thai was really good. My daughter's Tom yum soup was delicious ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I've eaten here five times in the last two weeks. The food is so good! Both the Jade Curry and the Ruby Curry have the right balance of heat. The Spicy Eggplant is delicious. And I've never had Golden Tofu so light and fluffy. And the rice has been perfect every time.
I haven’t had a pinnapple vege soup this good since I lived in Cambodia. Absolute gem and quick service.
This place was great! All the menus we ordered tasted amazing. Loved the curry with duck, seafood salad, chef’s special, and the sticky rice. Wish to come here again!

If you're wanting spice, this is the place to go. Definitely worth the 30 minute drive for me. Everything I had was delicious but the green Thai tea is my favorite.

The employees here look like they love working here and are very kind to everyone. Definitely feels like you’re dining in someone’s house by the delicious flavors and welcoming feel of the establishment. This is not a hole in the wall time of place but it’s typically pretty empty. I have tried over four different menu items including the Tom Yum Rice with shrimp, Wonton soup, Crispy Deep Fried Pork Belly with Sweet Peppers (Pad Kra Pao - hopefully I spelled that right), and Pad See Ew to name a some. I LOOVVVEEEE all of their food so far. If I remember the waitress name who typically helps my guests and myself I will come back and edit. Don’t miss out on this amazing place that I can’t compliment enough 💐
We went here for a late dinner with friends. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes that we all shared so we could maximize the amount of items to try, and have enough to eat as well. The food quality was good and yummy. Everyone enjoyed eating here. If you are looking for Thai food then try here.
Went on a Sunday right when they opened. There was no wait. We ordered the chicken curry, chicken chowmein, and the Hat Yai chicken and got free egg rolls. The egg rolls were crunchy, flavorful, and hot. Definitely recommend. The hat yai chicken was delicious and deep fried. The crunchy batter on the outside had a sweet taste to it that paired well with the chicken. Also recommend this dish, especially since you can share it within 2 people, maybe even 3. The chowmein was okay, not superb but not bad either. It is a good portion and feeds 2 people. The curry was not my favorite. It looked more like soup, was very runny, and did not have the smooth, spicy flavor I like. It was more tangy and a bit sour to my taste. Definitely do not recommend this dish. Overall, the service was great. The waiters kept checking in on us. Oh and the Thai tea is great.

Maybe it was an off day but I was unimpressed with the food for the price. We tried the crispy pork and the duck curry. Service was great, our waitress was attentive and friendly. Food came fast, portions were sizable. The ambiance was nice, cute little date place. The rice was cooked okay, the food was spiced okay. It was all decent. I feel like Pearl Thai nearby had better curry at a similar price but I would probably try again.

Me and my wife had already been in the area days prior to today and saw the restaurant from the outside. We promised to come back . Today we did just that and after waiting a while to be seated a man appears and seats us in a corner . It had been enough time for us to figure out what we wanted . A white gentleman walks in and is immediately seated , order is taken and we hadn’t even gotten water , silverware, a greeting yet. We are black Americans and felt overlooked and that made us get up and leave because I’m not spending my dollars just to Be disrespected . That’s it that’s all! Do better!
