Wonderful little restaurant. The decor and atmosphere really give you a little slice of the Mexican culture. The food is very tasty!
Really good restaurant, has good decoration, is clean, the service is good, effective and welcoming. The wait for the food isn’t long. The servings are of considerable size, filling adult men. The taste, size/price ratio is really good and accesible. The food itself tastes really good, every time I go, I try to eat something new, and now once have I had a bad experience there. Really good restaurant.
Honestly the best food in Winthrop! Truly gourmet Mexican food at an incredible price!
ALWAYS a wonderful visit to LA Siesta. We were recently in Boston for an evening out and headed a few miles away for delicious food and beverages. We previously frequented another location that has since closed. We loved catching up with the familiar staff and had a great meal!!
As someone from the south who has high expectations for Mexican food, this place does not disappoint! Every meal I’ve had is delicious and extremely consistent. The owner even comes out to check in on customers and is very passionate about the food and its history. It’s a hidden gem!
Amazing! Great staff, fun decor, and delicious food.
La Siesta is one of those neighborhood spots you can always count on. Great Mexican food, friendly service, and a welcoming vibe. It’s not trying to be fancy — it’s just consistently good, and that’s why it’s a Winthrop favori
Walking into this Latino restaurant feels like stepping into a celebration. The vibrant colors, upbeat Latin music, and warm greetings from the staff instantly set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. There’s an energy here that’s both inviting and exciting—like being welcomed into a friend’s home for a special gathering. The menu is a delicious journey through Latin America, showcasing the best of traditional flavors with a fresh, modern twist. Every dish I tried was bursting with authenticity and made with obvious care. The tacos were a standout—soft, freshly made tortillas filled with perfectly seasoned meats, fresh vegetables, and just the right kick of spice. The ceviche was bright and refreshing, with citrusy tang and tender seafood that tasted like it had just been caught. But the true magic is in the details: the rich, smoky aroma of grilled dishes, the vibrant salsas made from scratch, and the way every plate is presented with artistry. The portions are generous, and the flavors are bold yet balanced, making each bite an exciting surprise. The service was impeccable—attentive without being overbearing. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to share recommendations, even explaining the origins of certain dishes. It added an extra layer of appreciation for the culture and traditions behind the food. Whether you’re here for a casual lunch, a lively dinner with friends, or a romantic date night, the atmosphere adapts perfectly. It’s a place where you can linger over a plate of empanadas, sip a tangy margarita, and lose track of time. In short, this restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a celebration of Latino heritage, community, and joy. If you’re looking for bold flavors, warm hospitality, and a dining experience that leaves you smiling long after the last bite, this is the place to be.
Second time this summer I've been there. Surprisingly got the same server (Gianna) again. She remembered us and even remembered where we sat the last time we were there. This girl is amazing! She can recite the entire menu front to back, but what really for me is I can tell her what I like and what I don't like and she will recommend what I should get and tell me why. She is honestly the best waitress you could ask for. Any time I go there I'll ask fir Gianna, girl is amazing and made my dinning experience so much better
I love this restaurant is one of my favorite! Everything was so good and the service was amazing I go 1 time a week with my husband we love here❤️
Easily the best Mexican food in all of greater Boston. If you like seafood, try the Mexican jambalaya. The margaritas are made with fresh ingredients and are the perfect accompaniment to any meal. Lastly, the owners are amazing and I love supporting their business.
Great, fresh food & exceptional service. Martin, the owner, welcomed us with such warmth and genuine hospitality. He took the time to introduce himself and shared stories behind the dishes on the menu. We will without a doubt be back many more times!
If I could go 10 stars I would the food is unbelievable!!! The atmosphere is awesome. But the service is second to none. Gianna was out waitress, omg she remembered everything! The specials, everything we ordered, she was so fast with the drinks, sure gave us her opinions on drinks and food and all of her recommendations were 10/10. Service was amazing. She is the type of waitress, if I ever opened a restaurant i would come and try and steal her from last siesta asap. Food was amazing, atmosphere was great and the service was excellent! 10 starts!!
I've been to the restaurant more than a few times. Each time excellent. This time the owner came over to our table. Told us about the new dishes that he has on the menu and the new sauces that he's created. All were excellent. Go and visit this restaurant you will not be disappointed.
Love this place, the coconut margarita is to die for! 😋 It has a sweet coconut crusted rim and this is by far the best I ever had! The owner, Martin is a hard working family man and is very personable. He comes to the table with a smile and passionately explains the food and his favorites. He gives great recommendations. You can see the joy in his face when he explains the food. He takes pride in his restaurant and he always contributes to the community. These are the kind of people that deserve the community’s support as well! They will always have mine!
Had the pork and Ravioli lobster specials, and they were delicious. You would think that because they are the specials, they'd be more expensive, but that was not the case (THANK YOU). I was in a Margarita mood, they were good, but not strong, I'm a fan of spicey drinks so maybe add a crushed jalapeño drink with a tajín rim to the menu...The service was great, they even gave us samples of the sauces to taste. I will definitely go back... went back, and it didn't disappoint. Best margaritas around, had a green tea shot, definitely worth it
I’ve been here about half a dozen times now, and it’s just perfect. I’ve lived in Texas, I’ve lived in East Boston and I’ve been looking for a place that is this authentic and consistent in terms of flavor/quality. It never disappoints. The specials are always on point, too. Highly recommend! Martin (owner) is the best !!!!
My second visit in two weeks and it was absolutely awesome both times. The margaritas are great, although do remember to ask them to salt the rim. The cucumber jalapeno margarita was great, as well the steak beef taco specials that come with beans & rice, as well as the fish soft tacos. However, the best were the freshly made nachos with their house made salsa!
