Angelo & Vito's Pizzeria Plano Reviews
We’ve been here quite a few times now. This is one of the few places we’ve treated people that visit from out of town too as well. We love their pizza, and everything else they have to offer. I could eat their cannoli every night of the week. Their cheesecake was rich and delicious. The pizza has been cooked to perfection each time. Super delicious, and a nice crust that isn’t too chewy but also not dry and brittle. We have been back many times, and it’s definitely one of our go to pizza places!!
I usually just grap a pizza to go, but I have to say I have tried at least 7 different pizzas. They are all Fricking awesome. Honestly the best cheese pizza in TX.
My #1 go to spot for Pizza, the service here is EXCELLENT and top tier! This place is a STAPLE in Plano for Pizza! If you are around the area I highly recommend this place!
I have been an Angelo & Vito's Pizzeria customer since before the pandemic and during the pandemic when you waited in your car and the pizza was brought out and laid on the table for you to pick up. This was my first acquaintance with Ben. We order a large pizze online every Saturday evening at 600pm for carry-out. Ben and his Team always have the pizza ready for me when I walk in, the pizza is always hot and delicious and the team never forgets the condiments I ask for. Everyone on the team is super-friendly, always open to chatting, always smiling. Over the years, I know their names and they know me as a Saturday-night regular! So if you want great Italian pizza served by a friendly staff, check out Ben and his Team at Angelo & Vito's Pizzeria on Independence and Legacy. You'll be glad you did! Spas dikim and şev xweş!
We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Always friendly and fast service. Food is hot, fresh and full of flavor. Large portions too. Could not ask for anything more. Thanks!
ALWAYS a winner for dinner! You will not be disappointed… we always get the giant pie with half Momma Mia and half Italiano… sure to please everyone! Best pie around! Staff goes out of their way to serve you!
There is a lot of decent pizza in Plano. Yet, this place is different. How? Because it's real Brooklyn pizza! The taste, the smell, even the size of the slices - it's all just like I remember from my time living in Brooklyn. A&V got that BK pizza nostalgia down pat!
Best pizzeria in DFW area! That's coming from a REAL New Yorker! Their food is absolutely phenomenal from their pizza to their sandwiches and their pastas! Staff is incredible and they treat you like family every time you walk through the door! Great service and great food what more can you ask for?!?! You will not be disappointed! Highly recommend Angelo and Vito's!
I had the chance of dining in at this place. Acoustics really give Pizzeria vibes. They have fun decor and really funny quotes about pizza and other stuff. We ordered a large Mama Mia Pizza (Highly recommended) and a Meat Lover's Pizza. They are very good. They make the crust the way I want it. Crispy soft and their sauce is superb! I will definitely coming back here. Friendly staff too!
This place was great. It's small but man are they busy(that's a good thing, you dont wanna go to a place that isn't busy means they are no good). I went with my family because we saw the calzones they had on UberEats, so we decide to just get up and go check it out. It did not disappoint, the cheese pull on the calzones was great. Not to mention you can and any topping they have available. And the pizza slices were huge. We didnt get to try the cheese cake put will next time. Definitely will return even though it is out of my way.
We used to go here years ago when the kids were much younger, about 10yrs ago, for soccer or basketball grp lunches or dinners. But passed by it the other day and decided we need to go back, which we did today and it was SOOOO good as we remembered! The people are so nice and helpful for ordering since the options are endless for pizzas or Salads or Calzones or just tons of choices. I'd highly recommend swinging in and catching a slice of whatever fav you have or get a whole pizza to go. Looks like they also do a ton of pickups as well so don't let the small shop squeezed btw the other businesses fool you. We all know how hard it was to survive covid and after all these years, they continue to be here and from what we can tell they have not opt to getting cheaper or less tasteful food that separates those who make pizza since most people can tell when the dough or cheese or toppings are the cheaper options. They've remained true to what their customers want and we're so glad we've circled back to start using them as our top pizza/calzone place to go or order out:)
Until recently, I mildly enjoyed this pizza shop. I'm a New York City native, so this pizza reminded me of home a little bit. There are better New York style pizza shops in the area. The reason I will not go back to these guys is they over-charged me for putting real sausage on my pizza. Being from NYC, I enjoy real sliced sausage on my pizza. Not the little sausage balls many pizza shops here call sausage. Ownership has changed hands at this location several times, so the new owners don't know me. That said, they charged me $9.00 to put sliced sausage on my pizza. I didn't pay any attention to the amount or the receipt until I got home. Considering how thin the slices of sausage were they couldn't have used more than a third of a sausage. Furthermore, when I called in the order, the guy said they didn't do sliced sausage. When I assured him I'd been ordering sliced sausage from that location for years, he then said he would do it. I'm a businessman and I understand business. However, I would never rob a customer. The pizza is decent enough. Just beware if you order anything extra. It's very possible they will over charge you.
I dont know how they went so downhill. I have been eating for 4, 5 years and its slowly just been worse and worse and worse. This last time was truly the final nail in the coffin. Expensive slices for pieces that are so drenched in grease that you feel sick after half a slice. The staff is rude and the food isnt near what it used to be
Update, still my favorite Italian food, but I will say I am disappointed this last time. I asked for and paid for extra pepperoni on my Calzone, and it definitely seems like I didn't get extra. I called and they offered to remake it, but I'm not driving all the way back up there. They did not offer a discount on my next order. Love love love A&Vs. It's my favorite Italian restaurant. The only issue is they are a bit expensive, and don't have kid sizes for Fettuccine Alfredo. So for wife, myself, and 6 year old to eat it's close to $50. We order 2 Calzones and the FA.
been going for years but i have had the same issue over n over. i order a giant 18” pizza with double sausage and double mushrooms which makes to $8.00 worth of toppings and a $31 pizza and i don’t ever get what i asked for. the food is great i recommend it but dont customize cause they dont care… i would hate to see what it looks like if i did single sausage ; single mushroom they have lost my business for good
The pizza was great but a kid’s spaghetti cost as much as a huge slice of pizza and it was definitely not worth it at all. Especially when one of the employees put her bare finger in the noodles to make sure they were warm. (Which they were since it seemed like the noodles and small container of sauce was microwaved.) Wish we had just bought another slice of pizza. I get that prices have gone up lately, but it was honestly kind of ridiculous and soured the meal. For the price of one kid’s pasta and 2 slices of pizza (cheese and pepperoni) for $21 we could have bought a large pizza ($17.25+tax) Lesson learned :(
Normally Angelo and Vitos deserves a 3-4 star review, Until tonight. My son ordered the margherita pizza, but, as you can see, all we got was a pizza with shredded mozzarella, no sauce, and tiny strips of tomatoes spread all over. There was no basil.. Or maybe they just sprinkled dry basil across the top. It's really hard to tell. I'm not sure how they can sell shredded mozzarella and tomato strips as margherita pizza. Besides that, when we order online, we always get notified that "food is ready, come get it" while the pizzas are still in the oven. We always have to wait 10-15 minutes after arrival, even though we got the message about it being ready before walking in the door. Are they gaming the system? Is the timer automated regardless of how long it takes to cook?
Went in and ordered a pizza. Was debating on size and on the wall they have pictures of various sizes of pies, the largest being 18 inch, 20 inch and 22 inch. The man convinced me to pay extra and order the largest 22 inch pie. I got the order in an 18 inch box and it didn’t fill the box. The pizza had way too much cheese. Would have been the right amount for a true 22 inch pie.
Ordered a Margherita Pizza, and was disappointed there was no red sauce, no basil... wife added torn fresh basil in an attempt to salvage, didn't work, and the crust was lifeless with zero taste. **correction** there was dried basil but for all intensive purposes, this was a less-than-glorified Cheese Stix with sliced tomato strips. Not coming back
