Sushi Hi Research Blvd Reviews
These were the best sushi rolls I’ve had in the Austin area in a long time! Will definitely be coming back
This place is my go to ramen place that has a nice tasting ramen with 3 different options for the broth. I only gotten the Donkatsu Ramen, which has a good portion size. I will say that the Donkatsu(fried pork cutlet) itself could be better. It's a little thin and could use a bit more impact but I think it's fin how it is. As for the ramen and broth itself is good. As for the the atmosphere, the place very quiet and oddly relaxing. I recommend this place if you want to chill and eat something with your friends.
As soon as I came into this place I felt connected. I went in the evening and they had sports playing, anime, and a YouTube channel on TV. Great service and the fried sushi rolls were phenomenal 😁. Bravo with hands clapping and back flips. I will be back hungry for more.
Don't be fooled by this spot's humble appearance. The food and the service is great! Best ramen in Austin! Don't go to that fancy looking ramen spot next door, it's not even close! This place is a GEM!
Absolute favorite sushi spot in Austin! I’m vegetarian and the tofu roll is amazing! Corn cheese and veggie tempura appetizers are also delicious. My friends love the fish rolls and the poke bowls which are so fresh and full of toppings. Super laid back place, family type service and so enjoyable to eat at. Suuuper fair prices as well! Highly highly recommend.
My family and I absolutely love this place! We have come here twice already and the Naruto vibes, great food and not to mention the owner's friendly smile set up the mood for a great family night. I 100 percent recommend this as my 11 year old son called it "hidden gem".
I had the most delightful dining experience here! The ramen was absolutely divine—the broth was rich and flavorful, complemented by tender beef, perfectly cooked eggs, and fresh toppings like corn and scallions that added a nice crunch. The curry rice bowl was comforting and hearty, with vibrant vegetables and a mildly spiced sauce that was just the right balance of savory and sweet. The sushi was incredibly fresh, with the salmon and tuna practically melting in my mouth. Everything was beautifully presented, and the attention to detail in each dish was evident. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for authentic and delicious cuisine! Please note The curry is Korean inspired
Pros are really wide menu selection of various Asian cuisines. Also, the waitress was really friendly. I got the galbi which sadly wasn’t cooked at our table but it did come on a sizzling platter. It was a great portion for $28 - 4 banchan and rice were included. Kids and hubby got sushi and poke. I’m actually glad I stuck with the hot food but they seemed to enjoy their meals. Next time I’d like to try the ramen! Cons were location isn’t the best and I’m just not a big anime fan but their walls have anime drawings. Not a big deal at all; I’d still eat here!
This lil hide away is probably one of my favorite ramen spots. It was my first solo adventure when I moved to Austin when they were located next to UT campus! Staff has always made me feel welcomed. If you’re looking for a restaurant that feels as tho you’re hanging out at a friend’s home this is it! I’ve tried most of the ramens they have to offer same with their appetizers. Nothing has disappointed me yet
Lovely welcome, came for a snack stayed for the space, friendly hole in the wall. Naruto vibes, environment was calm and clean. Michelle took care of us and recommended the popular options. We enjoyed them all. I Realized that I ate all the food before I could snap a picture. Says something 🤫 Naruto roll highly recommended !!! Seaweed salad was one of the best I’ve had. 💚 Thank you Michelle!
The food and price are good here. Spent $17.00 adding that unique soda. Worth the taste in difference from American blends. I when for the fried, tofu, ramen. (with egg it was delicious I eat it before the photo) So worth the bite to eat. Do want more in the bowl yet still a wonderfully full-filling meal. When it comes to drinks we all know the price of the fridges. This place has a fair price. The best option is having the choice of water without having to ask. Self-served ice and all.
While visiting Austin for MotoGP, I stumbled across this cute little spot. Sushi, Ramen, Poke, and more? Perfection! We ordered the Tuna Poke, a Philly Roll, and Salmon and Tuna Nigiri. Wowwww! All of it was extremely tasty and also very fresh. The workers were super friendly, and the atmosphere was as on-point as it could've been. Loved the Naruto decor and the fact they even had it playing on one of the TVs. Wish they had locations back in AZ. Will definitely return ☺️🌸
Visiting a friend in Austin for a few days who brought me here, and dare say it is the perfect little Japanese restaurant. Everything here is made with love which comes through in every bite. We had veggie gyoza to start and I had a salmon poke bowl which was fresh a delicious. Apparently they make all of their own sauces too which were incredible. The person who took our order was very patient, helpful as well. If I lived nearby I’d be at this place regularly. It’s super cute too!
Best Ramen I have ever had. I chose the Chashu (pork) ramen, spicy... jeez, it practically melts in your mouth. The flavors are so well balanced and just warms my heart. Love the atmosphere. Love the Mango and Melon Cream Sodas. Great musubi! My family and I are already becoming regulars here. GREAT FOOD.
This is a fun spot with low lighting and anime decorations. You order at the counter, and there's a self-serve miso soup, water, and condiment station. We ordered a bowl of chashu ramen each, edamame, and a spicy tuna roll to share. The chashu meat was very good, and the ramen was good. The tuna roll was pretty small and unimpressive--the tuna seemed like it was desiccated, but I'm not familiar enough with sushi to know if that's normal for a spicy tuna roll. The edamame was salty and steamed well. The complimentary miso soup was appreciated. The meal was surprisingly filling. The staff were very friendly. I think I'll have to come back and try their other sushi rolls.
Good sushi at a descent price. I had a spicy tuna roll and a few regular tuna rolls with and a red dragon roll and some tuna Nigri and it all came out to $60. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for some sushi, check this place out They also have ramen and other items. I also believe their doing dine in.
Portions are small. What is pictured here is $50 worth of sushi. Charging $14.99 for that measly kimbap is shameful. Avocado rolls were tiny and skinny. There was also no warning that everything would come out on one plate family style. The fish eggs from one roll got all over the other rolls. I don’t eat seafood and there was fish eggs on my veggie rolls that we had to pick off. It wasn’t a super big deal because I could pick them off but was still really annoying. If they had explained ahead of time that food would come out family style, I could have asked to have my stuff plated separately.
