Elite India (Carry Out) Roanoke Reviews
Had a great dining experience here. The pot goat curry with ragi mudda is absolutely ultimate and a must-try! The flavors were spot on and truly authentic. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant and hope they continue to maintain the same taste and quality in the future.
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at elite Indian restaurant ! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch – our server Vini, was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making us feel very welcome. The real star of the show is the chef Triveni, You can tell she has mastered the art of balancing complex spices We tried the thali(veg and fish) which was phenomenal and generously portioned, offering a delightful variety of authentic flavors and textures, much better than standard buffets. We also tried the Kathi rolls and idli sambhar, both excellent and reasonably priced. The ambiance was pleasant, and everything arrived fresh and hot. If you're looking for truly good Indian food with excellent hospitality, especially a satisfying thali, look no further! Highly recommended for dine-in or takeout!".
We ordered sautéed mushroom from appetizer section. Mutton thaali, was nice, no extra fancy stuff loaded with 10 different vegetables, kept it simple and tasty. Chicken Kathi roll that they accommodated for wheat roti and salty lime soda. Venni was very courteous and overall we had a great experience. I like their outdoor seating idea as well. Thank You.
We came first time and the food was awesome .. tried ragi mudalu and pot fish , mutton and fish fry … all are good. Ambience is good and the server was good attentive and gave lot of info! Thanks
This place is renovated now with excellent seating and adequate lighting. Food is excellent..well presented. Mutton specialties (thalapakattu Mutton biryani, Champaram mutton).. veg items- thalli, mirchi bajji, chitti punukulu, chicken items- starters all good. Overall enjoyed the visit.
Everyone must go and try their food. It's sooo authentic and tasty. I love the Biryani and curry. Sooo good. The service lady is so lovely as well!!!
I already dug in before I remembered I wanted to take a pic of the food. I had butter chicken and it was delicious! They may look closed but stop in and follow signs on windows for entrance. I’m sure glad I did. I will be back in a few days to try their Biryani.

Food and drinks were great. I had a refreshingly light take on palak paneer, which can be too heavy and sweet elsewhere. Garlic naan is a must, always haha. Cocktails are nice with cute garnishes.
The service and food here were lovely. I went with my family and we had ordered a great assortment of food, and all of it was very nice! I would definitely recommend coming here if you want Indian food because it's not only the typical curry dishes, but also South Indian food! Definitely recommend.
Elite India Desi Food Court was an absolute delight. I spent three days in Dallas for work and did not feel the need to go to any other restaurant during my stay. The food was consistently fresh, authentic, and extremely delicious, and it truly felt like comforting home-style cooking with rich flavors. I would especially like to mention Vini, whose service made the experience even better. She patiently explained the available offers, gave thoughtful recommendations, and made the ordering process easy and enjoyable. The combination of excellent food and warm, attentive service made this place stand out. I would highly recommend Elite India Desi Food Court to anyone looking for great Indian food in Dallas.
Elite India in Roanoke is an absolute gem. The food is genuinely impressive — everything tastes fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. Easily one of the best restaurants for anyone around Westlake and Roanoke Their Kunda curries are a must-try, packed with authentic taste and perfect spice balance. The weekend specials are another highlight — unique dishes you won’t find elsewhere, and always cooked fresh. If you’re craving high-quality Indian food that feels both homely and restaurant‑level special, Elite India should be at the top of your list.
Still thinking about the Mutton Biryani I had here-absolutely phenomenal. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and the spices were perfectly layered. I paired it with a Blue Motorcycle, which was surprisingly the perfect companion: strong, refreshing, and cut through the richness of the biryani perfectly. If you're looking for the ultimate flavor combo, this is it!
We hosted our daughter's first birthday event @ their Banquet Hall. The staff is very friendly, patient and helped us through out the event. Food was great and ambience is so cool. Definitely recommended for family events and friends gathering. The restaurant space has cool vibe and is a great hangout place. Great service and would definitely visit often.
Absolutely Delicious – Highly Recommended! I had an amazing experience at this Indian restaurant! We ordered a wide variety of dishes, and every single item was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. From appetizers to desserts, everything was top-notch. The service was great, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. If you're looking for a place that serves truly awesome Indian food, this is it. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves flavorful, satisfying meals. Can’t wait to go back!
The food here is incredible, might be my favorite butter chicken in DFW. My wife got boneless chicken biryani rice and it was phenomenal. Medium was a bit spicy, so heads up on that. We’ll be back.
Just ordered chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and rice. Medium spice. This is hidden jam. The food so delicious. I went Togo but the inside is really cute. Must try!
Good food, great service. Very god environment. I am a vegetarian and tried their Thali, Idly, Dosa and several other dishes including the masala veggie burger. All items were served within a reasonable time, tasted very good and more importantly, did not mess up my digestive system. Highly recommend!

Stepping into this desi Indian gem felt like a journey straight to the streets of India – from the welcoming aroma of spices to the warm hospitality, every detail made the experience truly memorable. The menu offers a delightful variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Highlights included the perfectly tender chicken korma, buttery soft naan, and a rich, flavorful biryani that had just the right amount of heat and fragrance. The saag paneer was creamy and packed with authentic taste, while the chai at the end of the meal was the perfect comforting touch. Portions were generous, prices reasonable, and the staff attentive, making sure we felt at home throughout our meal. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Indian flavors and a warm, inviting atmosphere – can’t wait to go back and try more specialties from their kitchen.
Delicious, light, and full of flavor! The dosas are perfectly crisp, the idlis are cloud-soft, and the chutneys taste freshly made. You can feel the love and care in every dish. A perfect spot for anyone craving authentic South Indian comfort food. 🌼
Chicken 65 was awesome, non veg thali - chicken and mutton were good. Masala soda was good with good taste. Vinni also made a spicy margarita that tastes good. Veg Manchurian looks like meat balls, taste was okay. Ambience felt like village
Today , i visited elite india, a cozy family restaurant in Ronark. The place was clean & beautiful decorated with soft lightings. The food was delicious, especially Chicken Dum biryani was simply amazing 😋. If heaven had a smell, it would be biryani from this place😋. The rice was perfectly cooked, long and aromatic, each grain soaked in rich masala flavor. The tender chicken pieces just melted in the mouth, and the spices were perfectly balanced — not too spicy, not too bland, just right!
First time trying this type of food And I wasn't disappointed in the flavor it was very good The only thing that disappointed me was the portion size for price you pay I got a lot more bone than actual chicken My server Vinny was very helpful n gave me good service I would go back
As a new Indian restaurant this place is pretty good. The flavors are on point and the service is extremely friendly. Will definitely be back to try some other dishes. They do have a lot on their menu. The chilli chicken was really good and the omelette was authentic as well.
Food was very yummy. Got the chili chicken, chicken tikka masala with plain naan, and butter chicken with rice. Chicken in tikka masala and butter chicken could have been higher quality but overall delicious. Ginger tea was good as well.
I was excited about a new Indian restaurant in town. I had takeout from there one time a couple weeks ago and found the food to be very good. I went there for lunch and was sorta disappointed overall. The service was friendly, but it took a long time for the food to come out. The menu is too large and does not include any descriptions of the items. I guess you just have to already be really familiar with Indian food to know what to get. They had pictures of a hamburger and a pizza, but most people in this area don't need pictures of those. Some simple descriptions of the Indian dishes would be helpful. I ordered butter chicken marsala, which came with rice. The chicken came out first, and cooled on the table for several minutes before the rice arrived. We waited another several minutes before my wife's chicken shawarma came out. The butter chicken and rice were excellent. The shawarma was disappointing and had way too much mayonnaise. Ambiance- the place is sparsely decorated and they had incense burning that was way too strong. We almost wanted to change our order for To-Go just to get away from the smoky, strong smell. They had music videos playing a little too loudly, and with occasionally over-sexualized or violent content for a nice sitdown lunch. I have had a couple really good dishes from this place so far and hope it succeeds. Please take these comments in the spirit of what I hope is constructive criticism.

This one is opened recently in the area and we wanted to give it a try. It looks like they have started with the soft opening. Overall food was okay. Ordered mirchi bhaji, pessarattu, idli and paneer Tikka. Bhaji didn't look like photos. Pessarattu didn't have the upma stuffing. Idli and paneer Tikka took forever to come and we had to take paneer Tikka to go. Service is very slow considering we were the only customers. Other table had friends or family of the owner. Overall they need more time to open fully and definitely more staff.

I recently visited an Indian restaurant hoping to enjoy a good meal, but my experience was very disappointing. I ordered tandoori chicken and chicken biryani, expecting authentic flavors and fresh food. Unfortunately, both dishes were below average. The tandoori chicken was dry and overcooked. It lacked the smoky flavor that tandoori dishes are known for, and the spices were uneven—some pieces were too salty while others tasted bland. It also did not seem freshly prepared, as the texture felt hard and chewy. The biryani was even more disappointing. The rice was sticky and clumped together instead of being light and fluffy. There was very little chicken, and the pieces included mostly bones rather than meat. The flavor was flat, with almost no aroma of traditional spices. It tasted more like plain rice mixed with food coloring than authentic biryani. Additionally, the service was slow, and the staff did not seem attentive. When I mentioned the issue, they did not respond politely or offer any solution. Overall, the food quality and service did not meet expectations, and I would not recommend this restaurant based on my experience.
Food is average. Breakfast for one person is almost $12 with taxes. Irritating experience is they said buffet (believe you me this is not a real Buffett at all) but every time you have to tell them to bring certain item and tell quantity ..then only they will bring. In Buffet you should serve yourself as much as you want whenever you want but here though unlimited it’s kind of feels uneasy to ask someone every time for chutney, dosa, one more Idli like that. Also salt is very less in all to the extent that it is affecting the total taste. I know it depends on individual but people who eat less salt also will feel there isn’t enough salt in the food. Vada - good Idli - not so tasty and cold and somewhat hard not soft. Pongal - not good and not authentic. Overly mashed and felt like eating only dal. Puri - taste good but poori curry is not so tasty and it’s bland. Semiya upma - nothing about it to write also. Dosa - Ghee karam dosa is not cooked properly , felt like eating raw batter. It’s too crispy on one side (feels like might cut your tongue) and other end not cooked properly. Chutneys: Peanut and coconut chutneys not good ..taste is bland. Allam chutney is good. Overall: If you can’t go to Irving Mythri’s or Amaravati or Sarigama then only come here otherwise not so good for breakfast.
I recently visited Elite Indian and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. After placing our order, we waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive. There was no clear communication from the staff, and we had to keep asking for updates. Instead of apologizing for the delay, some employees responded with a rude and dismissive attitude, which made the situation even more frustrating. To make things worse, most of the dinner items listed on their menu were not available. Several dishes we wanted to order were “not available” or “finished for the day.” It was surprising and disappointing that a restaurant would run out of so many main items during regular dinner hours. It felt unorganized and poorly managed. When the food finally came, it did not justify the long wait or the inconvenience. Between the missing menu items, the one-hour delay, and the unprofessional behavior from staff, the overall experience was very unsatisfactory. A restaurant should respect customers’ time, maintain proper inventory for dinner service, and ensure staff treat guests politely. I hope management seriously improves service quality, communication, and menu availability so other customers don’t have the same experience.
We ordered chicken dum biryani and chicken fry piece biryani. While the rice and presentation looked fine, the chicken in both dishes had a strong bad smell and an off taste. The texture near the bone felt slimy and looked discolored, which made it clear the chicken was not fresh. We stopped eating immediately. This raised serious concerns about food quality and handling. We tried calling the restaurant right after, but the call was put on hold and disconnected, and follow-up calls were not answered. We wanted to support a new restaurant, but this experience was disappointing. We hope the restaurant takes food safety and customer response more seriously going forward.
