Vientos Mexican Restaurant Sacramento Reviews
This is one of the only restaurants you can find within a 5 minute drive of Greenhaven I love to come here and sit at the bar or outside. The waiters are always super nice especially Ana and Yajira. Hector the cook interacts with guests often he said he is making some new changes to their menu so exciting! I love the pasta, mole, asada fries, burgers, and most of all the taco salad! I get my taco salad with the thousand island dressing on the side as well as the ranch they both give it a different flavor. They just got new churros with ice cream too and it’s delicious! For sure give them a try!
I discovered this place through my wife, and we’ve been frequenting it for over a decade now. Her favorite dish is the chicken salad, and she always orders two servings of the spicy salsa. She loves to generously pour it over her salad, and it’s simply delicious. The chips and salsa are also fantastic. When we go as a family of four, my kids can’t resist eating two servings of the chips and salsa. They enjoy them so much that they eat them before the food arrives and continue snaking on them. One of my favorite dishes is the carnitas chimichanga. It has a crispy exterior and a juicy, flavorful interior. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back for another one. Overall, we’ve had nothing but positive experiences at this restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat.
This is literally a hidden gem in the pocket area. The food is amazing, the portions are fair priced and atmosphere is on point. The picture is Albondigas (my dish since it was the perfect weather) and my husband's dish was the 3 item combination plate. 😋
This is my first time here and I will definitely be back. Came in with my wife and immediately noticed how clean it was, our server was amazing and the food was delicious. I ordered the combination plate of three which was reasonably priced, and was delicious.
Vientos is easy access to and from the I-5 Meadowview exit. The restaurant is clean, open, with sidewalk seating and indoor seating. Prices are fair and portions are HUGE! Food is served fresh and hot. The carnitas is well prepared and obviously by someone who knows how. Well Recommended!
Super clean restaurant. Staff was friendly. Chips and salsa were super good. I love that they provide two types of salsas with the chips.
Great for the convenience and takeout. Although they have an amazing dining experience as well. Any of the dishes I got I recommend, but the enchiladas and carne asada plates are something much more delicious. They are quick with taking orders and serving them, do consider stopping by to support a local restaurant!
We rolled in at 2:45, that weird time when nobody is in the place. We were so glad we tried this restaurant in our neighborhood. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. We had the shrimp fajitas. Our dish was really tasty and shrimp was cooked perfectly. We will absolutely be be back again soon❤️🇲🇽
Nice place to get Mexican food in the part of town. The waitresses were friendly and took our orders quickly while the chefs cooked it fast too. They brought out chips and two variety of salsa to snack on while deciding on what to eat. The lunch specials are reasonably priced and you could also order from the regular menu too. The food tasted great so I’ll return here again next time I’m in the area.
This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Pocket! We've been going here for 20+ years and love it. Always fast, friendly service, and the food is excellent! The warm salsa they serve with the chips is amazing. Note to management: Please bring back Negro Modelo on tap!
In a word: sleepy. Why? Because the wait staff just might have been out to lunch themselves. It took forever to get our food ordered as on this particular day the restaurant was short of help and the waiter spoke/understood very little english so getting our orders right was a challenge. I will put in a good word for our waiter tho because when I asked him to bring me their hottest salsa they had, he said that the chef made me a special hot salsa made with the habanero peppers and it was indeed hot! Delicious. The food when it came was ok I thought and was on par with other Mexican restaurants in Sacramento. Since this restaurant is in a neighborhood, many local residents frequent this location. I use to live nearby, and walked to the restaurant just for the Shrimp salad.
Stopped in for dinner, and had a great time. The food was excellent! I had a carnitas taco and enchiladas combo. The carnitas were juicy and tender, delicious. The service was spot on and very friendly, and fast! I highly recommended eating here

I really like Vientos, the food is great my fav is the chicken mole. The atmosphere is great also, there's an indoor fountain, and the tables arent crammed too close, so you have some privacy, also you can dine outside on the patio.

The service was great. Food came out fast. We got the carnitas quesodilla, chicken fettuccine Alfredo, a large bean burrito, and a grilled chicken nachos. All of it was excellent! Each plate was a lot of food.
Wow, really enjoyed the frozen margaritas and Carne Asada burrito, which was so big I could only eat 1/3 of it (Even though I was starving). The portions were an excellent value and service was great. We will definitely return to try more. Thank you
Ive never been here before in my many years growing up in the area, but I sort of regret it! It's a pretty good Mexican sit down restaurant. I got a combo with an enchilada and a burrito and I think they were essentially the same thing lol, but both delicious. The best part was the bottomless chips and the salsa. The salsa was warm and had a nice roasted flavor to it. Worth a look if you're looking for a local taqueria.

Inside, the restaurant is nicely decorated with a latin-style, sports bar feel. The food is good. They offer a cold and hot salsa paired with their crispy tortilla chips as an appetizer. The portion sizes are generous; I was stuffed after eating my burrito, and I walked in ravenous. Over all, a great neighborhood spot for Mexican food.
Hmmm not bad but also not great. The favorite was the salsa. The food is just a little flat but the service was good and the dining space was friendly.
I decided to order my birthday dinner to go for my family and I. I live 4 minutes away, and by the time I got home, all of the containers of food were completely soggy, had sauce on them, and they collapsed. 2 of 4 trays were upside down in the bag. I'm pretty disappointed in my birthday dinner choice. Despite the huge mess, the food was good.

Very disappointed in the Chile Verde Barreto. There was no verde sauce in the burrito or on the plate. burrito was mostly filled with rice with a few beans and drowned with cheese sauce that resembled nacho dip out of a can. All in all the thing had very little flavor. The salad it came with was nothing but chopped up romaine lettuce. The dish look nothing like restaurant's posted photos. What should I expect out of a $20 burrito? Better!

I’ve been a customer for more than 5 years and the food doesn’t taste good anymore the beans to much salt and the rice is honestly disgusting. You’re supposed to pay more for less food the taste is really gross i miss the vientos that was before it’s sad how the place doesn’t even taste like it anymore ………
I’ve been a customer for four years, but the quality has gone downhill. My last burrito was over $20 and barely had any meat. Consistency matters in the restaurant business, and this experience has convinced me not to return. Bye forever!
