Andalé San Francisco Reviews
I've traveled through SFO numerous times. I had time to kill, so meandered around the airport looking for a decent breakfast. I ordered the breakfast burrito with chorizo. Ordering was easy, burrito was a very decent size, and loaded with chorizo. Best bang for the buck in my opinion for Breakfast. The burrito ran about 20.00, including tax.
The service here rocks. The people are extremely nice and damn do they have some good burritos! SFO already blows any other airport out of the water for food options, but what a great addition! If you need a quick bite, or want to hit your burrito fix before a long trip, look no further!
This place is soooo good! Easily the best restaurant in the entirety of SFO. Amazing service, very kind servers. Great authentic Mexican food and strong drinks. Reasonable prices. I had a horrible night, stuck in SF after long delays, but this place was great. Watched the Packers and Cowboys tie, just perfect.
The chorizo 🌮 🌮 🌮 was off the charts!!! Great spice, bold flavors, fresh cilantro. That's what I'm talking about.
$19.99 for a bowl but I literally got the biggest serving of meat I’ve ever had in a bowl. Quick friendly service on a Monday morning. Pleased.
This was my first meal back in the US and this might just be the best burrito i’ve ever had in my life god i missed mexican food so badly i would get a tattoo of this carne asada burrito it was THAT GOOD. the guacamole was also incredible absolutely no additions needed!! the chips were perfectly crunchy and slightly salted. this is the kind of food that makes me question why i ever left this hemisphere. the price was pretty brutal $50 for everything here but ITS SO GOOD. ITS WORTH IT. the workers were also really nice and attentive! i love that you can order at a kiosk too.
I was at California Airport to take my flight and couldn’t not find so many restaurants to get some chipotle style. But finally found this and I just totally loved it . There was a big queue but it was fast and taste was really good for a reasonable price.

Alright - I gotta be real, I don’t get the negative reviews. I travel a lot and Im in and out of airports. And im on the road a lot. I’ve been disappointed before on the road, but this is NOT a disappointment. $19 for a burrito bowl in San Fran seems to be reasonable. My plate was STACKED. I’ve paid $19 at places before with way less food and quality. Even stopped at a “famous” sandwich place this week and was displeased. So so glad I choose this spot to eat cause I really needed a good place to eat. Personally wish I took photos before I ate my food. Took one bite while walking to my table and had to just keep eating it! Feedback though: I personally like my sauces mixed. They have everything portioned and divided — which I get, so I’m not knocking them on stars for it. But a lid would be nice to shake it up — I coulda likely asked though. Also: spices are good, taste is great, and service was friendly enough (smiles, have a good day, etc.) I don’t expect over the top service at an airport, and neither should anyone really. I came in a quiet evening, so food was quick.

I enjoyed the vegan tinga bowl. The texture was spot on (just like shredded beef). They ask if cheese is OK as they don't have vegan cheese option. They also have soyrizo and veggie options. If you like Chipotle you will probably like this place. I wish there more salad on the bowl, it was more carb/protein/fat and less vegetables. They also quietly charge a 2% airport employee benefit fee, which is not much, and while I support workers this fee should have been disclosed, or included in already high airport prices.
Got the carne asada fries and added scrambled eggs to it and honestly, it was kind of great! I was surprised by the rating, it is possibly due to the lack of speed in service but otherwise. I would definitely eat there again.
Ordered Quesadilla with seasonal veggies. The food was well made and had a tasty zing. What they lack is plates or related. The quesadilla was cut in. 3 and stacked with each sticking to the other. This was due to the serving bowl … need a plate and would have been easier to eat
I ordered the Mesquite Chicken Salad while traveling and was pleasantly surprised by how fresh and well-portioned it was. The grilled chicken was seasoned nicely and served over crisp greens, avocado, and tomatoes—exactly what I needed for a clean, satisfying meal on the go. The only downside was the difficulty in getting clarification on ingredients due to my dairy allergy. It took a bit of time and effort to get someone who could answer my questions in English, and the manager had to come out from the back to confirm everything. Once they did, they were very kind and helpful, but the delay added a bit of stress to the experience. All in all, the food was great, and I appreciate that they took my allergy seriously. Just wish the communication had been smoother from the start.
Stopped by before my flight. Staff was friendly and quick to deliver my meal. Not too terrible prices, and convenient if you're departing from Terminal 2/D Gates. There's also a bar here but I didn't see an attendant while dining.

The food wasn’t great. I see a lot of negative reviews on the staff. I thought the staff was very courteous and working hard despite random interruptions from entitled patrons. Maybe the negative reviews are coming from snobbish Bay Area travelers? Saw an esteemed professional bring his dirty tray up to the pickup counter. Clearly not the spot for it. Classic.

Ordered the Carne Asada tacos. $18 plus $4 to have the carne asada. I love carne asada so took the plunge and did the upcharge. There was lots of steak but it was very bland and nothing like the carne asada I’ve had in Mexico. The food was hot though and came promptly. It is an airport but my sister ordered the fish tacos, which she had at the Andales Los Gatos, which was a sit down restaurant, and found the fish overcooked and nothing as good as her previous experience. She still liked them however. I would maybe recommend giving the airport Andales at SFO a pass. The food is overpriced for the quality.
The fish tacos were just average in taste. The fish fillets were so big! They should have at least cut it in half so that you can eat it properly. Good points: The salsa was good. Good size portions.
The food here is so so, but the prices are very high. $15-$20 for a burrito is high even if it was excellent. The bar seating is nice and quieter than the side that faces directly into the terminal, but it’s just a little too expensive.

Would not recommend, go somewhere else - $16 for a bowl with scrambled eggs, fried beans, vegan tinga (jackfruit and onions), avocado (clearly premade, not fresh), and “potatoes” which ended up being crusty pieces of French fries of all different sizes (left overs of all the broken ones?). I hadn’t eaten a single one when I took the pic below. Vegan Tinga was good but the whole place was not worth the price.
I don’t usually take time to post reviews but this restaurant is ridiculous. Their burrito bowl is misadvertised as having mixed greens on it. It is wilted white shredded iceberg lettuce, and not much more than a teaspoon of it at that. The food was bland. Basically a pile of chicken and rice. I managed to finish eating it, only because I didn’t want to waste food. Don’t waste your $ here. The attitude of the employees is not great either.
Portion was generous but taste was just alright. I’ve tried different flavours of tacos - Chicken Tinga, Beef Barbacoa, Pork Carnitas and Fish Taco with Slaw. If you’re craving for a taco with protein while waiting at SFO, just go for the Pork Carnitas and skip the others.

Avoid Andale Mexican Kitchen & Bar - Overpriced and Poor Service I recently flew in from Washington D.C. and made a stop at the San Francisco Airport, where I decided to eat at Andale Mexican Kitchen & Bar. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. I ordered six asada tacos and a burrito, and was shocked by the prices. The six tacos cost $36, plus an additional $8 because I chose asada meat. My burrito alone was $25. On top of that, they added a 5.0% employee health benefit surcharge, which was another $4. To make matters worse, they got my order wrong and overcharged me. I will never go back to this place, and I strongly urge others to stay away. Their 2.9-star rating is well deserved—save yourself the frustration and eat elsewhere.
My server was great and I actually am glad they have the 5% benefits surcharge as long as the workers are actually given benefits... But I give this one star because I ordered a Tito's and soda and they charged $1.50 for soda. Give me a break. I'd rather give that money to the server but corporate greed took precedence.
So here’s the thing, I actually never got my food. Spent like $50 only to be told they would refund me as there were closing. That money never came back and even had to dispute with my CC company. 😡 would give a 0 stars if I could!
Skip this place. Most expensive burrito you’ll ever eat and the lowest amount of flavor. Carnitas was so salty I felt like a slug after. The guy at the pickup was also very rude and shouty. He was getting livid shouting a number until I walked up and asked him what was in the burrito. Turns out it was mine and he was shouting the wrong number.. He was also touchy with the guy next to me. Cmon bro.
I ordered a wet burrito, there was minimal sour cream on top.Unfortunately, the person preparing the food spoke minimal english and was providing poor customer service. Overall, poor experience.
Really disappointing experience at Andale in SFO. The food is ridiculously overpriced for the quality. A basic burrito is $19, and if you want carne asada, that’s an extra $4—plus $8 for a small side of chips. I ordered the carnitas and they were incredibly salty and poorly cooked. On top of that, the customer service was cold and unwelcoming. For the price, you’d expect decent food and at least a friendly attitude. Definitely not worth the stop—save your money and eat elsewhere.
Terrible service! Extremely rude. The container wasn’t closed properly. When I had asked about it and showed to them that the food spilled, I was informed that it was my responsibility to close it and put it inside the bag… Food was horrible. One of the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Every single item was poorly cooked. Rice was partially cooked. Beans was uncooked. Soyrizo had a too much oil. They provided exactly 4 (not even kidding!) mixed greens. Cheese was really bad. And oh, the French fries was very oily. It had no salt or pepper and was nearly tasteless. I strongly recommend you don’t eat here!
Save your time and your money Their food is HORRIBLEEEEE OMG They drowned my asada fries in aioli which made them less enjoyable. Cheese gross Fried gross Steak GROSSS And they don’t season the meat. Literally And their utensils are such an inconvenience 😑
If given a 0 star would give it, asked for a vegan burrito and got chicken/meat. I confirmed from them several times when they were giving it to me if its vegan ? Is it vegan? The answer was firm yes at all times. I had to board a flight immediately and got to know this in the flight that it was a meat.never going here.
Guys, other reviews are right, please don’t waste your money. This has been the worst burrito of my last 10 years on this planet. $50 for two burritos, half the ingredients missing. If that price doesn’t make you shit your pants, then just wait an hour after eating this monstrosity.
$17 for a Mediterranean salad with cucumber and lettuce that looks on the verge of going bad. Really want to support local businesses/businesses in SF but this kind of quality makes it really unlikely for me to return.

Just don't. It will not be worth it. Anyone who says "best burrito ever!!!" is straight up lying. I've had better Mexican food in the UK. A microwave burrito mashed up in a bowl would've been better, and it wouldn't have cost me $23. Absurd.
This might be the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. There’s only one word to describe this place, bland. I don’t get how there people rating this above 1 star. Firstly it’s overpriced, which isn’t too shocking for food at the airport. But I was thinking at least the taste would be good, NOPE. I seen some people saying “this is the best Mexican food they’ve had” or that they keep eating at this place. They’re either paid reviewers or they think ketchup is spicy. Terrible.
Ordered at the kiosk, yet they still got the order wrong. Food was bland and definitely not worth the money. Apparently now these restaurants want the customer to pay for their employees health benefits, they add an additional 5% surcharge for that, and then to make it worse, they also apply tax to that surcharge, really?! You lost my business for a number of reasons, tired of being gouged and ripped off.
