Brioche San Francisco Reviews
Found this place on my strolls through San Francisco’s Chinatown and wandered off the beaten path a little. I was happy I did. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. I had a croque Monsieur which was very good and a matcha latte. I normally don’t have desert but had to have the lemon meringue pie. Exceptional!
Beautiful setting and great service. My friend and I went for brunch and enjoyed ourselves. I ordered the eggs benedict—not my favorite, but that could just be because i’ve never had eggs benedict and it’s not to my liking. My friend’s ham quiche on the other hand was phenomenal! The croissant and latte I ordered were good as well.
The quiche was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly golden and flaky, and the filling was rich, creamy, and full of fresh flavor. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The view made it even better. Sitting there with such beautiful scenery turned a great meal into a memorable experience. I will definitely be coming back.
Typical french vibe. I was a little surprised that the croque monsieur was not traditional (no bechamel on top or gruyere, more like a panini), but it was very good nonetheless. You have to like fench vibe - worker/manager french and some patrons french. food very good, bakery / boulangerie items very good (I grew up speaking french and lived in france), but also don't expect someone to come running when you walk in.
During my week-long stay in San Francisco, Brioche, a delightful bakery just a block from my hotel, quickly became a favourite. The simple yet charming atmosphere, coupled with friendly service, particularly from Burcu, made every visit a pleasure. The food was simply delicious, and I indulged in the eggs Benedict twice, the eggs Florentine, the croque madame, and my personal favourite, the French brioche with all its fruits, which I savoured twice more. I will highly recommend Brioche to my friends, and I eagerly anticipate returning on my next visit.
I visited Brioche again today and I found that they had a new omelette menu. The California omelette was the best omelette I’ve ever had. It’s always delicious. I posted a video on how to get into the location of Columbus. It’s 222 Columbus try it out it’s French motif goes along with its French selection of breakfast goods and lunch as well. Five stars for this location.
Lovely little café! Recommend for sure! Had the French toast and husband had eggs Benny. Also the orange juice is freshly squeezed, very delicious. Good portion sizes for the price. Cute little spot, inside and outside tables. You order and pay at the counter and then take a number to your table and they will bring it to you when it’s ready. Looked like they had some delicious sweets on display. Reasonable prices, lovey staff. Clean and lots of tables.
The espresso was delicious. Velvety and smooth with a nice balance of flavors. The pain aux chocolat was buttery, fluffy and had a nice pull. My only complaint would be the lack of chocolate throughout the croissant. The bathrooms smelled pretty bad and looked neglected. Space is bright, sunny, and cozy.
Went there twice. First time I tried the breakfast croissant which was a bit too greasy and the potatoes could have been a lot crispier/cooked better (they had no browning on them and were dripping with oil). Second time tried the breakfast burrito which was amazing - the eggs were moist and deliciously cooked and the avocados and tomatoes adding a nice touch - I highly recommend the burrito over the croissant!
Located between Little Italy and China Town. Great coffee shop with fresh pastry and sandwiches. If you like to admire architecture, grab a coffee and seat in outside to enjoy around. They have good lazania and panini. Staff is very friendly and everything comes quickly. The only thing is that side fruit was not fresh.
Pastries i felt were very heavy on the butter. Almond croissant was good, but I felt had too much almond on top. I would say this is one of the locations in san mateo close to downtown where they have good Pastries. Would recommend, if you are in the area.parking was a bit limited and hard to find.
ordered a matcha latte and it ended up looking and tasting like straight milk. It was also way too sweet when I specifically asked for it to be less sweet. I requested for it to be remade but the people on register adamantly refused. Ended up just going next door to reveille for a proper matcha latte :(
