Deccan House San Francisco Reviews
We went in the evening after dancing. Very nice, very cozy, the freshest hot food, the dessert was especially delicious - not cloying like in the supermarket (where they use sugar substitutes), real, cold. Who wants silence and the smell of Indian spices, without pathos and excessive high prices and markups - you are here. paid only $38 Immediately remembered the Goa area ...
Great food! Very fresh. We tried their chicken chilly, dum biriyani, goat roganjosh, butter naan, matar paneer, plain dosa and butter milk. Absolutely loved their chicken dum biriyani! My 5 yr old had biriyani for the first time ever and yelled “yummy”. That’s reason enough for me to go back there! The service was extremely good. Our server was very attentive, and went over and beyond to help even before the need to call (unlike a lot of other places where we wait to call someone if we need something). A+ to the server.
3rd time visiting. One of the most authentic Indian restaurants in the US. Very Tasty Food, generous portions. Sabzi, Naan, Roti, Starters , Biryani all are good. But food was very spicy. Usually indian restaurants in US do not serve this spicy. But if you are okay with spice then great place. Mild spicy is Indian Mild not American Mild
The best garlic naan I've ever had, hands down. I can't believe I've never been here until recently. The food is delicious and the prices are very fair. Not to mention it's open late! The service was also very good and we appreciated the way young lady handled requests as well as her input. GO HERE.
The restaurant in a super location right opposite to CCSF Mission Campus on Valencia. I love to go walking on a street and hunt restaurants and this place of one such a find. I picked up lunch from here, the briyani and Gobi manchurian was such home style and loved it. We also tried Delhi Dal Makhani and Royal Shahi Paneer and we love them too. Definitely a good and authentic Indian food in Mission. I will go there again ❤️❤️
The food here is great. I usually order Chicken 555, dosas or special biryani. The special biryani has the same fried chicken as 555. So, order one or the other. I also like the filter coffee here. This place has few seats but they are usually empty, so you won't have a problem if you are coming for dine in. It is open till very late at night I think till 4 am. Its my goto place for late night dinner.
Spicy chicken tikka marsala was fantastic!!!!
Yummy Quality food I tried the chicken tikka masala and mango lassi! It was so yummy and rich the seats are super comfortable and the service is quick and easy!
Amazing restaurant 😍. We were here last night the place was very clean and the tastes were nice. We liked the Declan special boneless chicken briyani.

This place has really good potential. Lunch specials are 12 dollars and come with a lot of food. A very small establishment with not a large wait staff. They could work on water refills and better explanations of the menu. But tge recommendations have been very good . I've had great curries here with unique spice combinations from my experience. I've been here three times in the last teo weeks, and while the shine might wear off I think it's a great addition to the Valencia corridor.

I ordered takeout from Deccan House on a Tuesday evening and was very pleased! The food was fresh and ready at the appointed time. The keema dosa was nice and spicy and the portion was big enough to enjoy again for lunch the next day. The samosas were crisp and tasty, accompanied by fresh chutneys. I’d gladly return to try more of their dishes. The interior is simple with cozy booths for dining in. Service was very friendly.
I used to be a huge fan of their Hyderabadi Biryani and ordered it through DoorDash for about a year. It was always so good. But lately I’ve gotten undercooked chicken twice in a row. Not sure if they changed the recipe or got a new chef, but now I gotta find a new spot for my biryani. Thanks for the good year though.

Chicken tasted like it waa made last week. Lamb was plasticy. They probably use cheapest quality. Never going back. Bread and rice were good.

We ordered for chili chicken , madras filter coffee , Navratan korma , andhra chicken curry , tandoori roti , chiku milkshake. Chili chicken and Andra chicken curry was good. However , madras filter coffee was stale , it was not even hot. Navratan korma was so so spicy and curry base of andhra chicken felt the same. The tandoori roti was overcooked and had the texture of crispy cookie. We had to wait for almost one hour for our food. Service was super slow, I think that was coz of online orders they had to fulfill. Two stars is only for chili chicken.

Doordashed from here, was so looking forward to good indian food after their name. Disappointed, in every dish. Their ulavucharu biriyani was extremely spicy though I ordered mild spicy. Their gobi was not crispy and almost felt like steamed cauliflower. Even the salam for the biriyani was like a garam masala water. Not an authentic place for indian food.
This Hyderabad biryani was over $20 and is bland in taste. The egg and onions were worse than an Safeway deli. The southern indians from Hyderabad agreed with my judgement
Its a shame they call themselves authentic deccan food. They are tons of miles away from calling them selves "Indian food". The worst biryani I've ever eaten in my life. I am from Hyderabad. I ordered Hyderabadi dum biryani chicken and chicken 65. Its not a chicken 65, nor hyderabadi chicken dum biryani at all. This place is a huge disappointment. The server said the chef is from Kerela when we complained about how bad the food is, very bad excuse for terrible food. Plus the food is pricey. Please avoid it
