Foghorn Taproom San Francisco Reviews
We came very hungry, left very happy and full. Portions are big. Music is super, service is very fast
Beautiful food & drink. Great service
AMAZING!! The best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, and the chicken wings were soooo good, specifically recommend Buffalo and Korean. We ended up here by accident because every other restaurant we visiting around 8pm was closed and at first I was bummed to not eat Japanese and end up with “bar food” but it was really pleasantly surprising to have enjoyed every single bite. Cheers
Been here multiple times for beer and quick bite. Beers are fresh, staff knowledgeable, and food highly enjoyable. Fries and chicken tenders are on point, and their sauces all delicious. Even their ketchup is remarkable (made in house?)! I always get the fries + 2 tenders combo. Great for 1 as a meal or to share with another with beer as a snack. Gets quite busy on the parklett starting at 5 on sunny days.
A quick stop on way home. Chicken n fries was great. Nice beer selection. Friendly staff.
Tried out their chimichurri chicken melt sandwich comes with either chips(french fries) or just plain potato chips. Their sandwiches are big(pricy if you ask me but worth it) but what makes this place famous are their chicken wings! Does things are addicting! Tried the Mango Habanero & Hot Honey crunch two of my favorite flavors! Overall if your looking a good place for wings & sandwiches, this is the place to go.

I’ve been going to Foghorn for several years now, and they always have great chicken sandwiches, excellent tenders and wings, great crispy fries, and a solid selection of beers on tap! The Nashville hot wings and sandwich are exceptional. The quality is consistently high, and the atmosphere is great for sports and for drinks after work. Also the bartender they have currently, Becky, is legitimately one of the hardest working, thorough, and most cheerful people I’ve ever seen! She consistently on her own initiative goes well above and beyond in cleaning and taking care of the store and hustling to get customers anything they need. She’s always cleaning the corners of the bar, cleaning underneath the bar mats, filling condiments and organizing everything whenever she has free moments. Foghorn is lucky to have such an excellent team member!
Chill vibes, friendly staff, and massive chicken tenders that are juicy and delicious. The place is clean and the beers are great. They always have the game on and even put a TV outside incase you want to sit outside while watching.
Met with a few friends and we tried a bunch of different favors of wings. All of them tasted great and I even ordered takeout for my kids! Will definitely go back!
Of course the wings are great, in a variety of flavors. But the sides are way better than you'd expect. Brussel sprouts are a must, fries are essential. And the beer selection is better than all of the area bars. Finally, if you care about such things, the packaging is all paper and compostable. No single use plastics.
This little gem in the Richmond area of the city has amazing selection of wings and beer. Super chill place to meet up, hang out, or simply take out food. They have a lot more on the menu, but I just cannot get enough of the wings. Super friendly and chill staff, and they really make you feel comfortable. Thanks for the great service.
I love grabbing a couple different flavor wings from here depending on my mood. I typically go dry spice or tajin, with pineapple basil or garlic Parmesan. Couple with their beer selection on tap, it’s hard not to leave here happy. Definitely a guilty pleasure.

Wings are great, and good selection if beers, and dofferent ones have different offers. The loaded fries are also great :)
Becky is the best. Chicken 10/10 Hot was way spicy enough. Best tendies we have had in SF. Chefs kiss. We love you. 😘 🐓🍟

Always has a beer list that doesn’t disappoint. Wings are always fried nicely but I will say the Hot Honey Crunch I had this week was lacking in the heat department. It could just me being from Louisiana, but with hot in the title I expected more heat. Fries were really great! Previous visit I had a chicken sandwich that was great—although I’d prefer a chicken thigh rather than breast but that’s nitpicking. I’ll be back again.
Usually eat here once a month but over the last year I noticed a decline in quality. Fries are often soggy or they serve inconsistently small servings. Brussels sprouts are sometimes very overcooked and greasy. Also, the sandwich always has less chicken than bread. Pictured attached is the ratio about 75% of the time. At least a third of the sandwich is just bread and coleslaw Not a fan of their new ordering that also doesn't have "regular" fried chicken sandwich options anymore and you must pick a specific flavor.
The food is delicious. The chicken sandwich is flavorful, juicy, crunchy, and tastes amazing. The chicken tenders are a good size and come with fries that are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You can place your order through the QR code, as they don't accept cash, and the food is served very quickly. If you need water, it’s self-service. However, the service isn't good so unless you're looking to order beer, I would recommend getting your food to go and eating somewhere else.
Food: 3.5/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Overall: Pretty standard fare for a sandwich place. Would I come back: I'd come back if someone really wanted to come here. The extended review... Fried Chicken Sandwich: 3.5/5 - The chicken was fairly moist. The flavor itself was pretty standard fare. Fries - 3/5 - Can't go wrong with fries. Nice way to compliment the sandwich. Pretty standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 3/5 - Some outdoor seating vs the sports bar section on the inside.

I almost never write reviews, but this experience warrants one. I’ve been here twice. I originally stopped in because my car charges by the Safeway, and this is one of the few nearby options for lunch. On my first visit, the food was good, but the two bartenders were making out and touching each other the entire time I was there. Unfortunately, this was happening directly under the TV, so it was impossible not to notice. It wasn’t a one-time moment; it continued the whole time I was dining. Even worse, they both went to the back and were gone for an extended period. New customers arrived and waited so long to be served that someone had to go to the back to get them. On my second visit, only the male bartender was working, and I had no issues with his professionalism. However, my food took noticeably long to come out, and when it finally did, it was lukewarm. I’m not sure why, because it wasn’t very busy, but the bartender wasn’t going to the back as often. I’m genuinely unsure how it ended up coming out lukewarm, but at that point I had already decided this would be my last visit.

I got the sandwich and the fried wings. The wings were good but the chicken in the sandwich wasn't cooked properly. It just tastedweitd despite being fried. Bad experience but I liked the outdoor seating.

Good beer selection, sidewalk seating is a plus, but food is just ok and service is lacking (only one person behind the bar for a nearly full restaurant). Safeway has much better fried chicken unfortunately.
Came on a Wednesday for the special (50 cent wings, with a drink) and honestly I expected more. The wings were slathered in sauce (too much) and…not even heated through. Got one tiny side of ranch. Beer and service were fine, and the atmosphere is really friendly, but I still won’t go back.
