iKU Sushi San Francisco Reviews
For a grab-n-go sushi place, this ain't half bad! It isn't amazing, but it does its job well. I don't think the place has fully recovered from the pandemic: the upper floor was closed, they had reduced hours of operations, and the menu was limited. Regardless, the food was pretty good for a takeout! It's not a place to take your date, and it doesn't have much of an atmosphere: it's pretty modern, clean, utilitarian, which is fine. Can't complain about simplicity. But it's a good place for sushi lunch if you're in the area.
Verrrrrry good!I am Japanese and I was really satisfied their food for everything!Sushi, takoyaki and gyudon was absolutely Japanese taste and it was very delicious🌟 If you go there you can also meet Japanese staff and they are so kind. We really enjoyed there manyyyy times, thank you☺️💐
Great to have a to go sushi place with affordable price in downtown SF! Their new bento lunch box is delicious!

Not sure if I am commenting on the right restaurant, but I believe I went here once on a Sunday and ordered a beef donburi. It tasted soooo good considering such low price. The interior design looks like it’s still under construction, but the food is quite good. Strangely, I cannot locate this restaurant on Sunday anymore. Feel like Alice in wonderland.
Please be aware there is no longer grab and go sushi, everything must be ordered as a set meal. Check their menu online for accuracy - the photos of old a la carte sushi and menu are not available. More
I can’t believe all these bad reviews. This place is pretty tasty for a shockingly low price given the area. I love sushi. This isn’t the best, but it’s great value!
A great place to grab your own custom box of sushi. There's a variety of raw and cooked sushi, onigiri, Japanese snacks and drinks. Everything tastes fresh, just be sure to let the sushi cool down a little since they've been in the fridge. I've also had their takoyaki and croquettes and they're both good! They occasionally swap out their sweets selection, from jelly to mochi doriyaki. Happy hour is from 4:00-6:00.
For the price? This place can’t be beat. Glad I finally found a place to eat in SF that’s both tasty and doesn’t break the bank.

This place is no longer a grab and go. I was looking forward to selecting single pieces as other reviews mentioned, but I didn’t look at the more recent ones saying that is no longer the case. I ended up leaving and finding something else to eat instead. Most of the premade bento boxes are $17+ and I think there are better options for that price.

The food was okay. Very limited options for both bento boxes, drinks, and sides. There were also only sets, no individual rolls available. They will warm up your bento if you ask. My set was okay and my friends got the katsu curry.
I wish I checked other reviews before visiting. This place is not longer grab and go and you have to order their limited menu. The reason I visited is to grab a few onigiris and rolls but their menu is pretty small now. I ended up ordering their Mega set for $17 and it was okay. There are better places to go in that same price range…
The grab-and-go concept is perfect for people who are in FiDi and are in a hurry. This was the pork katsu bowl which I would give a 4/10. The pork was very fatty and honestly the teriyaki sauce tasted weird.

Not too expensive for easy access to sushi in the FiDi. The fish is reasonably fresh, but sliced a bit too thin. The nigiris were mostly rice. 3.5 stars. I'd give it another shot.
Fast sushi and other Japanese fare. The chicken katsu is decent. Also, if you ever wanted to build your own sushi plate, you can pick from individually wrapped pieces.
The one thing this place has gong for it is quickness. Ok and another thing is variety. Although there are many options, they are all just mediocre. I'm also a little weary of all the wrapping that is involved. Seems wasteful.
Please do something about your rice... Rice is too soggy and cakey. Everything about this place is perfect for takeout sushi joint. I want to like this place.
Thought it was a wall of food but they put it together when you order. But it was just kind of flat, not bad but missing something.

This place seemed cute so I went to try it. Inside reminds me more of a nice 7-11. It was pretty basic design inside. There is a lot of sushi options and then different Japanese foods. It wasn't too busy inside, but it seems like there is a lot of space. There were some seats. I thought they only did cold foods and drinks, but they also had rice plates and hot fried foods. I really wanted a rice ball for lunch and got two salmon ones. They were $3 each, so kinda fair in pricing. I really wish I could like the rice balls, but the rice was so bad. :( I guess I shouldn't have expected much since they're in a fridge. I would not get them again and probably wouldn't try the sushi since they would also have the bad rice. Maybe their hot foods are better? I noticed they were a little pricey, but it is in the heart of financial district. While I might come again to try their rice plates, I would not recommend.

Scammers. They sell through MealPal and refuse to honor pick-ups claiming “they sold out” before allowing Meal-Pals with reservations to scan-in for their order. They still charge in the system. Update in response to owner: I've used MealPal for years and you can cancel orders for the day rather than surprising unsuspecting patrons and forcing them to go through customer service. I've gotten one meal before here where I had to wait for the food to be prepared along with the other MealPal check-ins (like every other place). In fact, you've canceled in the past on 12/10/2024 due to an issue with your kitchen. I have the email notification from MealPal. I've passed along your response here to MealPal.
As another post stated, pretty utilitarian. Nobody greeted me when I was in there. Food looked mid and super overpriced.
