Amazing view, friendly staff and delicious french fries. Great place to have lunch and enjoy the view.
Wow. I rode the little ferry to check out Treasure Island, hoping to find a nice place for lunch. And I surely did. It's a pleasant walk from the ferry dock. The vies of the city skyline from my table was enough to make it special. I had a croissant BLT from the daily specials and it was truly wonderful. A real buttery croissant and high quality bacon. Nice people and all around pleasant place.
Great food, great customer service, and beautiful view of the San Francisco skyline! Delicious french fries, tacos, and fish and chips. MeeSun is the owner. You'll probably see her and her dog interacting with customers. She is a pleasure to meet and always goes above and beyond to make sure customers have a great dining experience. Strongly recommend a visit!
I stumbled upon this spot today on a solo drive and it did not disappoint! I really liked the menu options but I of course had to get the fish and chips. They also had a great selection of drinks options, both non-alcoholic and with alcohol. There is lots of outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. I happened to go on a day when a live band was playing so that was really fun! The staff is great too. I also love that it’s right next to the water so you can walk around and enjoy the most beautiful view of SF, Alcatraz and Angel Island. I definitely recommend checking this place out when you can!
We went to Mersea Bar and Restaurant on Treasure Island today because we saw them featured on Check Please, Bay Area. And I hoped to meet chef Parke Ulrich as well because I have never met anyone else that has my first name! Unfortunately Parke was away for the day but we did meet cofounding partner/owner MeeSun Boice, who greeted us so kindly and really treated us like VIPs after I divulged my name 😁 Mike and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and their gorgeous views of the SF skyline. I had the Fish and Chips and Mike had the Poke bowl. Then a Chocolate Chip cookie and Rice Krispy treat. All were delicious, satisfying portions, and priced well. We plan to go back and maybe then I'll get to meet another Parke too 😉
Mersea Restaurant & Bar has a really cool vibe and an amazing setting that immediately stands out. From the moment you arrive, the views alone make it worth the trip--they're expansive, unique, and offer a totally different perspective of the city. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a great place to sit back and enjoy your surroundings. It feels open, airy, and thoughtfully designed, with a vibe that works just as well for a casual hangout as it does for a longer meal. The food was good and satisfying, with a menu that pairs nicely with the setting. Everything we tried was enjoyable and well prepared, making it easy to relax and take your time without feeling rushed. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting one of the owners, who was walking around the restaurant, interacting with tables and personally saying hello. That kind of presence really stood out and gave the space such a welcoming, community-focused feel. Mersea is a great place to check out if you want to see a different side of the area and enjoy great views in a laid-back setting. Between the atmosphere, the food, and the personal touch from ownership, it's an experience worth having.
Delicious food and amazing music! Stunning views of the bay and city. A must if you come visit San Francisco! The staff and owner are so charming and caring. Tacos were incredible. Ceasar salad was excellent. Burger and Beyond Burger were top notch! Fries were generously proportioned. The Heath Proskin Trio were very classy!
Staff was very helpful and recommended a great local beer. The food is fantastic and came out quickly, and there are plenty of options for inside and outside seating. As a bonus the views are unbeatable - bridges, water, skyline. I happened to be there during fleet week and had great seats for the air show.
What a wonderful spot! Dog-friendly, owner-friendly, and full of great vibes — this place has it all. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. I had the hummus, the halibut salad, and of course, their famous fish and chips — every bite was amazing. Whether you're new to the city or a local looking to add a gem to your restaurant bucket list, this is a must-try. Did I mention it's dog-friendly? That might just be my favorite part. If you have a pup, this is the perfect place to bring them. You can tell the owner is a dog lover too, which makes it all the more special. Sorry no pic of salad I thought about it after it landed in my belly ha. But wow.
I can't believe it took me this long to finally try this gem of a restaurant! We started with the pretzels, which came out fresh from the oven. Soft as pillows!!! and absolutely perfect. They came with two dipping sauces: honey mustard and a spicy aioli. We much preferred the honey mustard, as the aioli was a little on the salty side. Next were the fish tacos, and they were incredible! The tacos paired beautifully with the house-made hot sauce. My only regret? Eating the fish chowder first. By the time I got to the tacos, they had cooled a bit and lost their crunch. Lesson learned: next time, the tacos are getting my full attention first! Speaking of the chowder, it was a standout on its own. Unlike your usual clam chowder, this one featured fish and had subtle yet satisfying flavor. The bread served with it was perfect for dipping, and I’d happily order it again. My 7-year-old had the pepperoni pizza, which was huge and such a great deal for the price and super tasty too. My son specifically pointed out the pizza sauce and that it “tastes like the ones in Italy” 🤣. We wrapped things up with a brownie sundae. The brownie was rich and decadent with just the right amount of crunch around the edges, exactly right up my alley. After our meal, we even got to practice our putting on the green outside ⛳️. Bonus points for the experience. I have to say, this place has the best views of San Francisco, hands down. I’ll definitely be back for the burger, another round of those tacos (first this time!), cocktails, and this time I’m making sure to catch the sunset. Can’t wait!
We came to Mersea on a Sunday for brunch. It's a very nice and clean restaurant. Seating is self seat, so you just go grab a seat, then go to the counter to order. For an appetizer we got the pretzel sticks, and for the entrees, we got the fish n chips, the burger, and a salad. After ordering, the food took a while to come out. It was a bit longer than we expected. That was the only negative part about the service. Once it came, the food was really good. The fish was phenomenally crispy but the chips were a bit thick and under seasoned. If you're expecting regular fries, they're actually steak fries. Burger was great and same with the salad. The restaurant itself is very nice. There is live music and a nice view of the SF skyline and the Bay. It was a bit windy if you sit outside, but they offer indoor and outdoor seating. They allow dogs and even have a dog menu so you can order food for your dog. Overall very great experience and would recommend coming.
The food for the wedding reception was mouthwatering. Every dish was delicious. The owner is super friendly. She attends to your every need. Came here on a Sunday for brunch and it did not disappoint. Spectacular views to match the sumptuous food. Come early coz seats fill out within minutes especially on a beautiful day.
The restaurant has an excellent location, great views! Most of the seating is outside which is ok when it is not so windy and cold as it was today. Inside wasn't much better. No heating lamps, nothing. It was pretty chilly. Drinks were ok not really strong. Food was good. The fish and chips were delicious. Service was great.
