Osha BBQ San Francisco Reviews
Wow. The chicken Satay was spot on! Grab Rangoon was on point too, probably the best I've ever had. I ordered the bbq beef with papaya salad and the flavor was bold, delicious. My coworkers got a curry bowl and the bbq chicken and loved theirs too. They agreed with this 5 star review too! (The sticky rice was not jiving with my palate but others may enjoy it)
I had a great meal here with a group. I enjoyed the spicy basil with chicken. The meal was very filling and felt like a great value. I would recommend trying their BBQ ribs as well, they're very week sauces. The tea was very sweet.
So delicious! We had the most heart warming meal here - love the set up of the restaurant too, it feels like a great place to gather and share a meal with friends.
Everything was incredible! The food, the service, the ambience, and the playlist were so good! Would definitely recommend. I got the Volcanic Beef and it was fire! Also, the Thai Tea is a must!
This Thai food was absolutely phenomenal and authentic! As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted by one of the waitresses and she kindly recommended food, describing the items very well. One of the dishes we ordered was too spicy, so she gave us some extra without chilies. Moving on to the food, every dish was plated beautifully and the dishes themselves were too good to stop eating. I absolutely LOVE this place and highly recommend coming here!
Coming from South East Asia… this restaurant has everything done perfect. The food was fresh and authentic, beef was juicy, perfectly seasoned and Tom yum noodles and spot on. Service was just friendly and helpful. Our server, Dream… was so attentive to our order. Highly recommend.
Osha Thai is an oldie; and still a goodie. We used to come here after the clubs in the 90's. Nowadays, they close early at 10pm. Some of our old favorites are still around like, crab fried rice and pad thai. Their menu changed a lot. We ordered crab fried rice $23 (w/fried egg +$3), papaya salad $18, crying tiger (BBQ rib-eye steak) $29 and Thai iced teas $6 each.. The food is good. I like how you can customize the spiciness of the papaya salad. They did a great job with the remodeling. Comfortable seats, marble tables, mood lighting, spacious seating. The only things missing are cloth napkins and fresh cut flowers at the table. Service was excellent. Great job everyone at Osha Thai. So many good memories here.
We ordered a shrimp pad thai and the bbq beef plate- both had amazing flavors and colors! The service was also fast and friendly, which is always a bonus. Highly recommend this place for delicious and affordable Thai food in SF!
Amazing food! We got the BBQ pork and fried calamari which was delicious! The service was phenomenal: our server recommended tasty dishes, quick, friendly and extremely welcoming!! The ambience was pleasant and they also made the food aesthetically appealing. Was definitely a restaurant to remember, 15/10!!
Awesome place! Wonderful flavours, spot on thai food, and also the food presentation is very well done. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a Satay appy, Volcanic beef (their signature dish, tasteful!) and the BBQ pork (jummy!) We go out for diner a lot, and we can highly recommend this place to anyone visiting SF!
We love to come to osha since 97’. The service and food is always awesome. Now it converted to a bit more high end feel restaurant. From furniture, food quality, food choices and presentations are all better than the old days! I am happy to see the new osha looking and very happy the food is still yummy as always! Their Thai ice tea and drunken noodles is the best in the Bay Area!
What a gem!! One of the friendliest hospitality experiences I’ve had in quite sometime. Shrimp was perfectly cooked. Actually all the proteins were perfectly cooked. Spice levels are legit. Lot’s of Thai options in the neighborhood. This one is prob the best. Will definitely be back.
Osha Thai BBQ delivered an outstanding experience with bold flavors and high-quality ingredients. The standout was undoubtedly the mango sticky rice—it’s a must-order! The BBQ platter was satisfying, and both teas were excellent. Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy yet vibrant.
A shame that more people don’t try this place out. Their BBQ combo small meal is super delicious, I shared it with my partner! Their Thai iced tea is also one of the best Thai teas I’ve ever had. We finished off with the sticky rice mango dessert - also amazing :) If you’re in the area you’ll regret not coming to try it out! I recommend the BBQ pork ribs 😁
We had incredible food. The meat was very soft and had a lot of flavor to it! The Pad Thai with shrimp was amazing. A lot of flavor. The Thai Iced Tea was refreshing. Had one as dessert too. Incredible! The ambiance is calm and and lovely service. And not that pricy! Overall a big 5 star!
This is a must go to here in the city if your looking for the B.E.S.T. fried banana dessert ever!! We walked by and it's looked low key and good. We walked in greeted by friendly staff, and sat down. The service was great and the food was delicious and great prices. I would highly recommend this spot for a relaxed Thai dinner...or even to just stop by for dessert
Had an incredible experience at Osha. The noodle soup was absolutely delicious, such a complex flavor with Szechuan. Service was great as well. 100% recommend.

The shared platter is so good, lots of flavors and a great value. The Thai iced was yummy and was cute served in a Kraft Also had plain pad see ew with a side of steamed veggies and it was still so delicious. This is a great place.
Really lovely Thai spot right in the tenderloin district. The service was prompt and polite. The menu was really specific but had the specials well advertised. I enjoyed the red curry duck. It was the first time I ever had that dish and I would definitely order it again.
Food: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: Food is standard fare and consistent. The extended review… Food: Pad Thai - 3.5/5 - Standard fare. Service: 4/5 - Friendly service. Ambiance: 4/5 - They have definitely upgraded the ambiance since my days here after da club.

I spent $26 on a to go dish. This is the amount of meat they gave me - 8g of protein at best. I’ve never been served a dish with this little meat and 90% rice. Especially for $26. It was also super oily. Wanted to try this place out but unfortunately wouldn’t come back. The server was nice though.
