We had a great dinner here! I got the Chiocciole pasta dish, which was fantastic -- perfectly done shells, tasty sausage, and the kale added a nice bitter kick. My wife got the Funghi pizza, which was overflowing with savory mushroom and garlic, and the crust was nicely crispy and chewy. Service was impeccable (our waiter was spot on with her recommendations), and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. There's a big patio for outdoor dining, which must be great for brunch. The location is awesome, on the edge of the Presidio. Prices were what I would expect from this level of restaurant. We will definitely come again!

I was so excited that Piccino opened a new location on the west side of the city! It’s just as good as the original. We had a great dinner when my mom was in town visiting. The pastas and drinks are always sublime. Also, the flower arrangement on the bar that night was so artistic and beautiful — I think they said the owner made it! So cool.

Enjoyed an absolutely perfect lunch with 3 women friends. The booth we were sat in was cosy and allowed gave us great separation, it was like being in a world of our own. Our waitstaff was discreet and helpful, giving us spot-on recommendations. We shared everything which worked out better than I could have imagined because it meant the arrival of dishes and pacing was 💯% on point. All the food was fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked. I love the seasonal use of local ingredients, everything tasted sublime and I so enjoyed dining on peas and morels and stone fruit and all the top ingredients I don’t have the energy to source and prepare at home . At the end of the meal we were left in peace to chitchat without any attempt to hurry us away from our table, for which we were grateful. Thank you Piccino, for an amazing lunch.

After a long day exploring the Tunnel Tops, with my out-of-town friends, we wandered into the Presidio on our way to find a restaurant for dinner in the Marina. Just as we were admiring some of the enormous redwood trees, we realized a restaurant (Piccino) was tucked beneath them. What an incredible find! Marinated olives and cocktails, ahi crudo, the BEST lasagna I've ever had...it seems they recently opened but you would never know it based on the attentiveness of the staff and sophistication of the palate. I can see this being a future date night or a nice place to take your parents when you want to impress them. Or anyone really! I will be back.

Cocktails are insane (shoutout Gabe), food is very unique and mouth watering. We had an incredible date night dinner and will definitely come back!

Great service. Beautiful space with fresh wildflowers arranged by owner in locally made pottery. Delicious food nicely presented.

Piccino Presidio is a standout in San Francisco, a large space that somehow manages to feel warm and cozy with its wood and lighting. The atmosphere is like a nice, upscale Italian spot, where you can relax and enjoy good food. Our server, Charlie, was a total pro, making sure we were having the best time. Gabriel, the bartender, crafted an Amalfi cocktail that was a revelation, a perfect blend of citrus and sophistication. We dove into the signature dishes, the Arancini and focaccia were spot on, and the bucatini, as always, was a comforting classic. Next time, I’m set on trying the bistecca, because if the rest of the menu is anything like what we savored, it’s bound to be fire.

One of the few restaurants in the presidio, luckily it’s a great one. Beautiful interior, variety of seating. Staff was very accommodating with our young kids too, would go back again.

I had a thin crust pizza with sausage and added arugula to it. My friend had the seared salmon on butter. Very crispy outside and melt in your mouth flesh. I'm definitely getting that next time. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. We went for lunch and the interior was lovely though a bit dark with the wood walls. Probably very romantic at night. Everything was delicious with fresh ingredients. I'm definitely going back.

We shared the pappardele pasta with braised beef ribs and a sausage pizza. They were both excellent. The Fails pinot noir by the glass was terrific. We had an apple crostada for dessert was very good. Service could not have been better. Highly recommended.

What a pleasant surprise. The margherita pizza is absolutely wonderful, the focaccia bread is perfection, and their spring salad is fresh and perfectly made. If you haven't visited, you really should.

I liked this place for a last minute date night, but didn’t love anything. The olives were great for a starter. I liked the pastas and salad. A nice ran last us on the porch ledge during dinner — apparently they can’t do pest control because they’re in the National Park. So great location but sometimes not able to get elsewhere.

Beautiful ambience and setting. It was lovely just walking through Presidio to arrive to the restaurant. Pasta and Pizza were spot on. Pavlova was not a traditional recipe but the sorbet was amazing.

Good spot for lunch if you’re near the Presidio. Everyone in our group really enjoyed their meals. My porchetta panuzzo was excellent. The main issue is that the lunch menu is far more limited than the dinner menu. Not sure I would go back for another lunch.

Beautifully designed, but just okay food and service, with small portions that don’t justify the price point. Felt like the goal was to quickly turn tables, rather than provide a quality experience.

Was here for a corporate event, have heard good things about the original restaurant and was keen to try this new location. We had a fixed menu and the food was so-so, not super impressive, not sure if that is due the choice made by the host or just a reflection of the fare here. The a la carte looked pretty pricey. The conversations really echo through the place - it was loud.

Reserved for my mother’s birthday and all she got was a “Happy Birthday” from the host upon arrival. They didn’t even offered a birthday cake. We ordered a pasta and requested it without kale. The waiter brought it with kale and didn’t even noticed nor apologized.

They’re racist absolutely for no reason i went with my mom and sister and they refused to give us a table even when it was all empty, the white girl host was mean with us from the start, then with no “free” tables she’s sent us to sit on the bar. We end up getting out of there beacause staff was being mean. Absolutely and awful experience

Had lunch here on Oct 2, 2025 around 12:30 PM. We sat at the bar and were completely ignored the entire time no one cleared our plates, refilled water, or checked on us once. Other tables got great service while we were treated like we didn’t exist. When I emailed the restaurant, the Assistant Manager’s reply was generic and unprofessional, showing zero accountability and no real intention to improve. It perfectly reflects their lack of staff training and management standards. I honestly can’t believe this restaurant has any staff training or a manager who actually does their job.

Another disappointing takeover. The previous place, Sessions, was lovely and very welcoming. This new spot feels unwelcoming and not particularly women-friendly. Twice now I’ve been turned away for a table while the restaurant was half empty. Reservation slots were available online at the time and I could have booked one standing at the host desk but chose not to bother. Fortunately, there are plenty of excellent Italian restaurants in the neighborhood that value their guests. Sad to see a place like this in 2025.
