I appreciate that I could get a great fresh Mexican food at the San Francisco Airport. Good virility if items, great staff

Urban Tortilla > Mission Bar & Grill. The food is better and less expensive. Happy hour from 5pm - Close

I don’t know why this is such a low rated spot. I just had a delicious carnitas burrito with cilantro rice and black beans, plus they have ice cold draft beer. Maybe other items tanked their rank IDK, but I just had a great breakfast after super long flight from Hong Kong!

C

I went to urban tortilla while waiting for my flight and got a burrito with white rice, black beans, pulled pork, cheese, lettuce and salsa. The employees are really nice and the food is good. 10/10 would visit again

Amazing burrito. I got the spicy pork, pinto beans, cilantro rice and all the free toppings. Very good. Definitely expensive but it’s airport food.

I was looking for something healthy ,gluten free and a filling! This place hit the spot! The older lady working at the counter was super nice and kind! I ordered the breakfast burrito with corn tortillas! It was DELICIOUS! They have a large selection of beverages and food. Its a chipotle style business , which I love ! You pick what you want! Definitely a go to place to eat right before a long day of travels!

In this E4 - E12 gate section - I think this is the only place with take-out draft beer as the other venues serve draft that must be consumed in their seating area. Nothing like a cold @deschutes draft beer from Urban Tortilla paired with a fresh-made sandwich from Klein’s Deli next door! (Don’t worry I got UT burrito take out for the in-flight meal.)

Very quick and friendly staff, huge portion size (at least for the burrito). It's nothing fancy, but it tastes wholesome. It's pricier than non-airport food, but you're not gonna get away from that while flying unless you decide to eat at Burger King. Probably the best affordable airport food you'll find.

TIP: Beer on tap is half off if you order a burrito. Burrito bowls all the way for me. Service felt like Chipotle where you walk through the line telling the server what you want. Guac extra no biggie. The staff working here are nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the food.

Delicious chicken quesadillas! We saw burritos being ordered by others and those portions were huge! Highly recommend this place. It’s just before gate 64, but even if that’s not near your gate, just walk over there, it’s totally worth it!

Not sure what the grips are, it's the airport. I had 35 minutes between gate f12 and e9, didn't think i'd have time, but they know how to move a line. My burrito was huge, Pork Verde had big chunks of pork, and super saucy like I like. The lady's were cheerful and we had a good time. Plus there's actually a little fire in the salsa. $24 with a happy hour beer.

10/10 for Urban Tortilla, I got their nachos (vegetarian) and the portion was enough to feed three people. Plus the GIANT serving of guac (included with veggie orders) made my day! Spent $18 total and it was worth it. And the service was quick and friendly. Would recommend!

Nice staff and fast service. Was not expecting much. Picked the carnitas pork and added corn with upcharge. Was $21.71 for a burrito. I was like wow that's a lot but I am in San Fran. Turned out to be the best burrito I can remember. Way better than a Qudoba or similar. And better than most Mexican places near me. It was a massive portion and I can't imagine finishing that in one sitting. I have no problem eating a whole burrito otherwise.

Burrito bowl with the works. Caritas was really good. Extra for the corn and quac. Worth it. Would definitely eat here again.

Since it is an airport restaurant, it's important to note that the prices are slightly higher than what you would expect. Despite that, the quality and flavors of the dishes make up for it. The service is quick. If you're willing to splurge a bit, this place won't disappoint your taste buds.

Stopped here for lunch in SFO and got a shrimp burrito. It was HUGE! Definitely won’t leave this place hungry, haha. The food was good and service was pretty fast. My shrimp was cooked so it took a bit longer than just assembling the burrito, but it was nice warm. This is a quick service type place where you order and get your food at the counter and then sit down in a shared food court area to eat, so the ambiance isn’t as nice as a dine-in restaurant. But the seating area was spacious and brightly lit and had lots of electrical outlets to charge our phones, so that was nice.

Location is opposite Gate E8 in United Terminal. Fast, friendly service with good food. I ordered the burrito with spicy pork, brown rice (choice of three types), black (or pinto) beans, lettuce, jalapeños, mild (green) sauce. Guacamole or corn are extra fee. It was humongous and delicious—this really scratched an itch for me. Open seating with wall outlets nearby. I would eat here again the next time I pass thru this airport. Edit: 1 hour later, Minus One Star on food rating for using MSG. Otherwise, I have no change to comments.

If you need to eat on the go from terminal to terminal I don’t recommend the breakfast burrito unless you’re sticking to potato egg and cheese and nothing else. This massive burrito was soupy with salsa and chorizo. It was dripping all over my fingers and was not terminal friendly. It was delicious though and not too greasy and the staff was really friendly.

Good place to pick up something fast. Had a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, chicken and fries. No complaints. Very fast service and friendly staff

If you’re stuck in the airport I’d eat here. Everything is so expensive but here it is a bit more reasonable for sure. With happy hour a burrito and a beer was $20.00 not bad.

Barbacoa, cilantro rice, pinto beans, cheese, w/salsa Verde burrito. This was pretty tasty. The service was great. I think sour cream is extra. The burrito was decent and filling. The salsa verde wasn't spicy to me. Without drinks, this ran about $20.

O
Oliver Yang

The burrito bowl here was alright. The portion was smaller than I thought. The eggs were good, but the chorizo was a bit bland. Not too bad in terms of quality, but with the $19.82 price tag for a burrito bowl, a bit expensive for the amount of food you’re getting. The service is pretty quick and the staff are nice.

Chicken bowl was fine. Decent hot food for after flying. I got both salsas and one or both of them were spicy. Overpriced at $20 but it’s the airport.

Ugh airport food This place made me miss chipotle. I got a burrito bowl w meat for 13.95 but came out to 15.63. Damn I chose this place cuz I didnt wanna pay 20 at the other fancy place but next time I'll pay more at the other place haha. It was pretty good w jalapeños to liven it up. Spicy pork was decent but food wasn't really hot. Expensive for the portion imo Good service 👍

$29 for a veggie burrito. That’s due to the $5 charge for a dollop of guacamole and $2 for sour cream. Will I be back? Yes. Because it’s still a really good burrito. But I don’t understand why the vegetarian burrito is only one dollar less than the meat burritos which have all the same ingredients plus a massive pile of meat. Why penalized vegetarians??

Charging for sour cream and corn...cmon. less food than chipotle and twice as expensive...what a joke. Plus the meat is near tasteless, lettuce was old. 2 stars because it was quick and rice was good.

J
Jasmine Speaks

It was tasty, comparable to chipotle or Qdoba. Nice portion. But they did not disclose that sour cream and corn…of all things corn was extra. My 16.50 bowl turned into over 20$. Again, tasty food, nasty up charges.

N
Neer Raybaruah

Twice as expensive as a Chipotle but half as tasty, if that. If you are adamant on coming here, don’t decide what to order until you see the current food laid out. I made a mistake of adding in the potato fries which looked weak, but the breakfast burrito overall was tasteless. The bacon was better but the chorizo tasted like my old school cafeteria food. Airplane food is expensive but there’s much better options for $19.

A
Alycia

$28 for a burrito bowl should be seriously illegal. It's not even good tasting really

W
Will MacHugh

My burrito bowl was flavorless. The eggs sat in a puddle, the guac was like mayo and the salsa must have been canned. I said a little sour creme and that translated to a cup of mayo. All of these for the low low price of $31 and they wanted a tip. Get real.

Ordered at Gate E8 — got a burrito bowl with white rice, beef, lettuce, and cheese. Paid extra for corn ($2) and sour cream ($5), and got both sauces. The staff were unhelpful and couldn’t tell me if the food was gluten-free. It tasted like microwaved canned food with no flavor. Disappointing, especially since it’s one of the few places open in the area — and it cost $30 USD.

V
Vijay J

Close to most E gates, but the burrito bowl tasted below average. The chicken didn’t seem to be fresh - maybe because they were almost closing. I would expect more from a $25 burrito bowl. Airport restaurants are often overpriced, but the value for money on this one is pretty bad.

Omg ..Elderly Lady with short hair (Mila, Mela?) Worst attitude!! Very Confrontational!! I was confused because for protein options she said "Carne Asada" and I couldn't see it and when I question it, she gave attitude and said they had it in the back, so when we get to the salsas, I asked you have Jalapenos? And she goes....Do You See Any??? Lady I don't see Carne Asada either, but you had carne asada!!! Matter of fact in another occasion they had given me jalapenos that were kinda in the back as well! So it was a valid question! I guess not for her and even when I told her I had received some before, she was still mumbling something! I understand we get crankier the older we get, but then stay in the back, where you don't have to deal with the public! She should be glad I was hungry, otherwise I would've told her to keep her flavorless burrito! Either wa that was my last one from there. I fly a lot and connect in various Airports (DEN, ORD, IAH) and their burritos at SFO are at least $5.- more than other Airports, so we're already not happy and then she's gonna act like they're free and is doing us a favor??!! No Thanks!!

Possibly the worst burrito bowl ever. Extremely overpriced, lacks flavour, and they charge $2 extra for sour cream lol

K
Kat Ho

After a 13 hour flight, this was my first meal and it was extremely disappointing. If you’re a person with seasoned tastebuds, you’ll notice that this place has no flavor whatsoever… even with the sauces it’s still super bland. They charge $5 for guacamole, an extra $2 for sour cream, and $0.75 for corn. On top of that the burrito bowl is already $16.50. I should’ve just starved and waited for my final destination. This place charges double the price of chipotle and it can’t even compare in quality. What a shame and waste of money.

C
Celia B.

Don’t eat here if you have allergies, intolerances, or are celiac. I asked which items were safe to eat for celiac (no gluten). The gentleman helping me said, “You can eat here if you want but we don’t know if there’s gluten or allergens in our food. If it says it’s gluten free then it will show on the menu”. Perhaps he was busy and did not want to serve me, but then he asked out loud to his other colleagues and they all were like “oh I don’t know”. Unfortunate.

M

This place is nasty. I assumed it would taste like chipotle but it’s nothing close to it. None of the food is seasoned it all taste bland. At $17 a bowl I would expect better food. Steer away unless you want to throw your money away.

FOOD POISONING. DO NOT EAT HERE. On two separate occasions within the same 1-2 weeks, we’ve gotten food poisoning here. It was only until recently when a friend notified us of the same exact experience. They got hit within 1 hr of eating here.

Prices are insanely high to the amount they serve and the taste is not great either. Food vendors need to stop this new form of THEFT. A burrito that is about $20 after tax and they only put like 2 ounces of chicken really? Who regulates this establishments in order to stop them from taking advantage of travelers like this? 😡😡🚨🚨

As other have stated, extremely inflated prices for lower than mediocre food. The Hispanic cashier with the tied ponytail looking like a wig rudely stated the place was closed at 8:20pm and shortly opening up after around 15 mins later. Dirty attitude for just standing there while I attempt to read the menu.

Service was quick and they were nice. Food is a total waste of money. $20 for a burrito bowl. They don’t have any veggies, other than lettuce. I paid .75 extra for corn because it seemed lame. I refused to pay $5 for guac, thankfully. Not enough toppings! No onions, tomatoes, etc.

$26 for the worst burrito bowl you will ever try. Just get rid of this place and put in a chipotle. This is not it.

The food is trash and way overpriced. $20 for a bowl that doesn’t even taste good is highway robbery. Extra for corn of all things. Do you know how much corn is on a cob?! Save your money and go to Kleins deli next door

Poor ingredients, poor prep, rice and meat just changed from breakfast but stale and mealy. Burrito poorly wrapped, with guac and corn on one side and beans and rice on the complete other side. Staff unwilling to fulfill customer requests. Reason cited as management will not allow those ingredients to be included in one order, even for an up-charge. Staff not polite despite kind customer attitude and disappointment with service.
