Brite Spot Mexican San Pedro Reviews
One of my favorite spots. The food is fresh, hot and exactly what spice you ask for. The team there is soooo nice, they remember us always. Try it, you'll like it. Ceviches, mariscos y caldos es fantastico.
The spot!!!! Had a lot of items off the menu, never disappointed. Micheladas hit fasho. Staff always great. Can't say anything negative about Brite. Great place.
Awww the bright spot ! A hidden little gem in down town San pedro. Fabulous food, great Latin music coming from the juke box. The waitresses are an awesome bunch Top-Notch service . Five Stars 👍
Went with couple of friends & my bf. We had a great time. We visited Los Ángeles from New Nersey, & we decided to have lunch here. The food, the environment, & the staff are so nice. Definitely recommend 💛💛
Cafe it was awesome down home No Frills beautiful food
Stop by for a shrimp cocktail on the way to the beach. It was delicious and they give you plenty of shrimp. The menu overall looked good and the service was great. Next time will be dining in.
I've been here a few times and I always get the cheese enchiladas. They are awesome!! On my way I told my cousin I was going to get photos, but I forgot. 😒 The chips the give with the salsa, are really good!! They are crisp and light anf GOOD!!!! I recommend this spot... Brite Spot in San Pedro, California!!!! The best of the best!!
We had a great lunch after we went out telling people about the Lord Jesus one of our church ladies offered to buy us all launch what a blessing. There was about twenty-five of us they have served and I believe they only messed up on one meal which wasn't bad. Great place for lunch or dinner . Great Pozole.....
I've been coming here for many years and my absolute favorite is the Shrimp cocktail! Consistently delicious. Recently have been using delivery which is very convenient for me, my total is just about $20 but it's worth it. I get the large size which is enough for two servings.
Their wait staff has improved and it's one of the very few restaurants that has tongue (lengua) and it is very very good. It's not a fancy restaurant but their prices are decent and their food is delicious. Also they are open late, which is a good thing, because restaurants in that area close early especially on Sunday.
I had pozole and a fresh squeezed juice that were delicious and reasonably priced . Waitress was very efficient and friendly. Dinner bar atmosphere from another time. A table of police officers were eating here so I imagine it's consistently good, a down home type of place.
First time here! Staff were friendly, food had large proportions for a good price, food looks like the photos, everything Is fresh. Definitely reccomend checking this place out
It was my first time visiting this Mexican food place, & the service was excellent, food was delicious!! It has parking and 2 areas for sitting overall 10/10
Outstanding place! Many great choices on the menu, it was hard to pick just one. The food was delicious and you can tell a lot of work and creativity goes into it. Fresh ingredients, friendly service and a nice atmosphere with live music.
Whenever we are in San Pedro, Los Angeles, we try to stop at Brite Spot for lunch or dinner. My grandson loves Mexican food and this place is his favorite in the area. It is real Mexican food, so if you are looking to diet this is not the place for you. The place is just so adorable. It is all decorated in sort of a Ranchero theme and you will hear Spanish music from the juke box. They have a great counter and super booths. They also have out door seating and I think live music out there now and again. The atmosphere is just the best. The customers are all nice and the staff is great. Your food will come hot and as ordered. They even have glass bottles of Coke from Mexico. Their food is comforting and filling. We love their enchiladas and tacos. They have great fish dishes, mostly fresh, and wow, their guacamole is fabulous. Parking is free and easy on the street. It is never too crowded. You will love this place.
First time here and I was happy that I decided to try it out. The portions are large and the bill was small. Not to mention, the food was delicious. I had the torta ahogada with carnitas. I look forward to coming back.
Delicious!! Lots of food for your money. Best chilaquiles I've had. This meal was $15.99 on door dash.
Very good place!!!! We will definitely be returning. The oysters preparadas are a must try

The food was amazing. The crew are very, very, very nice very honest pricing. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
I love this place! The food is excellent. The service is amazing. The place is incredibly relaxed. This place very much feels like having lunch at your favorite uncle's house. It feels very welcoming. I don't often get a chance to eat at the actual restaurant, but when I do, it's always enjoyable.
Well priced, great service and fresh food. Unlimited chips and salsa too.
Come with an appetite. The food was enjoyable but the server, Leslie, made the meal.
A good spot if you like seafood. I recommend it for locals and visitors.
Great food and service , however 1.50 dollar surcharge to use credit / debit is highly illegal in California .

I've always wanted to try this place because I'm at San Pedro Cafe all the time and it's right next door. It's very popular with the locals which is usually a good sign. The food was good. However, I think it was probably too much restaurant for what I needed at the time. By that I mean that they specialize in seafood and I was just grabbing something to take home after Dia de Los Muertos. For a couple of tacos to go, it was quite expensive and not that special. I would go back though based on the crowd because I can sense that they're doing something right. I would definitely ask for a recommendation from the staff next time because the seafood menu is extensive.
Good size portions of platters (tamale and enchilada). Fresh salsa verde was very tasty and had a nice kick. Very reasonable prices. Ambience was average with three different tvs with different programs going at the same time.
Great tasting breakfast at Brite Spot . Huevos Ranchero and Chilaquiles were very good. Very reasonable prices, generous portions, and delicious food. Not bad for my first time experience.
Parking is rough in the small alley parking. The food is decent and plentiful. The seating is accommodating and the staff was very attentive.
Late night mexican food. Loved the LA milanesa. The food is a bit pricey but the service is good. Due to covid they only have outside set up for eating.
Very casual. Outside dining is a set up like a backyard. Rickety chairs and table. Set up slab cement. Super tacky.
This place has decent food an ok price with good service. My husband ordered the 7 Seas Caldo which he was quite happy with, and a Coca Cola. I ordered a pulpo tostada and a battered shrimp plate which were both ok. The portions were quite generous, but to me the octopus was overcooked, while the breading on the shrimp was so thick that it masked the flavor of the shrimp. The rice and beans were ok. I tried the Tamarindo water and found it to be very watered down. It's too bad because we first went a few years ago and it was fantastic.
The food was just okay, nothing special, not sure if they have parking but we ended up parking on the street
They microwave their food 😬 Like they open a bag from a store and microwave it, then serve it to you. At least with my Chile Relleno and enchiladas they did. Good service though. The party seafood platter looked good though
Not the best place not the worst place. Very super laid-back. It's kind of like San Pedro very chill. Ordered a vegetarian burrito and instead of the usual onions peppers mushrooms it had broccoli carrots and cauliflower cucumbers. It was a bit odd for vegetarian. But it is a pretty good spot overall
Decent first time experience. The asada tacos were good and made right in front of you, the seafood soup was ok. The micheladas were very inexpensive but weren't all that great, I didn't finish mine because it was too watered downed. The salsa and chips were good and overall the restaurant had a really nice Mexican atmosphere.

To be honest i won't come back Shrimp cocktail has no flavor payed extra for octopus didn't see but a little peices..u would think this place is neer thebeach food would he crazy good..disappointed
I've been here twice. First time for breakfast which was fantastic, but the place was empty. Tonight I had dinner and it was awful. Chicken fajitas were smothered in a thick greasy tomato sauce. There were also a few pieces of overcooked broccoli stirred in which was odd. Rice and beans were both pale and tasteless. But beyond the food, the service was clueless. The cooks were fast enough but the wait staff completely overwhelmed. The hot food sat on the counter for at least 10 minutes before anyone noticed and thought about delivering it to the tables. I can only surmise the entire staff quit this morning and the owner convinced these two to help wait tables.
Well I order my meal and they told me 15 m to go by and pick it up when I got all workers were chatting and not caring that I was there they were total ignoring me. So my soup was not even made. Lol this happen a couple of times food was nasty. I Can believe this place still open. Woaoaoa
ordered a my favorite dish camaron mojo de ajo, paid 20.00 and it only had 3 shrimp and to top it off they add vegetables - brocoli on top to hid the fact that they are ripping you off with only 3 shrimp, who the heck adds vegetables to camaron mojo de ajo ? this place is whacked.
I was visiting San Pedro and decided to stop here we ordered aguachiles which were 17.99 so I thought must be a good size plate and my son ordered a caldo and quesadilla for my husband first of all they took forever , kinda dirty , poor service and didn't even have toilet paper in the restroom they came back a while later with just the aguachiles which was a small like! Like literally small with couple of shrimps only 17.99 for that and as we were waiting for my sons and husbands food the lady came and asked if we ordered anything else other than the shrimp and we said yes ! She forgot the food and told her never mind I clearly remember her writing our order down so they took that long just for one plate to top it off it was a very small plate for 17.99 smh was not pleased
This restaurant has two ratings please look into it before eating there . I had the worst meal ever the food was cold & nasty and everything Taste old like it was sitting out.The lady also took 30 minutes to bring drinks. Pretty much the worst service ever ! I don’t suggest this restaurants to anybody .
The food tastes good but don't ever use your ATM card! Cash only ❗ I got charged double and the waitresses didn't let me and she 😡new about the problem she just let me go on my way and I check my bank account luckily and I had to call them and make a complaint to get my money back and there was no manager to speak to only waitresses use only cash❗ when you go and eat there I only gave it a one-⭐ because I eat there all the time and I'm shocked this happened to me 😭
Terrible experience food was horrible, I asked for aguachiles that had nothing to do with it idk what kinda recipes they have but nothing near tasting aguachiles and to top it off my food had a really thick hair on it . Possibly a beard since the staff looked so unsanitary long grown beard, grooming for both male and females were terrible. Woman staff working with long acrylic nail and personal jewelry. Restaurant is super dirty blinds are gross they had wine boxes above a stove. My Micheleda was hot ice was in it but they were already melting. We NEVER got asked if we needed another drink or how we were doing or needed something else ! I currently think I’m going through food poisoning my stomach is rumbling, diarrhea, and I’m vomiting. As well with my other family members that came with us. I will never go back here. This restaurant really needs a wake up call and get all of these issues resolved a little updating, maintaining it more cleaner make the environment more comfortable, acknowledging to follow up on customers,
Lowest quality food. We ate the enchiladas . Chicken was nasty . Sauce was from a can. My boyfriend threw up minutes after we left the place.
This place is awful. The service is awful and the food is okay. I was coming here for years and then one day I ordered to go. Waffle, burrito and some other stuff. The waffle was cold. They forgot syrup and all of the condiments we asked for to make the meal a meal. I called and told them and they said they'd bring the stuff and never did. The woman had an attitude and when I asked for a refund she refused. I asked for the manager and she said he was out of town. Eventually she hung up on me. I called for months after and the owner or manager completely avoided me. Needless to say, I never have and never will return. They used to make a ton of money off of me and this was the last straw. There are plenty of good Mexican food places in San pedro that are not rude. And truthfully, after this experience I found much better Mexican food elsewhere.
For how expensive this place is I expect my money's worth but the meat on all our food had a bad flavor and the chips were stale. place should be better maintained on the inside, should have better service and not be so pricey. Personally not with it. There's better roach-coaches down Pacific that are more affordable and the meat tastes like meat should.
I have eaten here maybe 3 times. Everytime I get reminded why I do not eat here. I got the 3 taco combination plate. Presentation was poor. The garnish for the tacos was just thrown on top of all 3. 1 of then had no garnish in it at all. This was a delivery order. The driver called me and told me he was in the front. Instead of coming to my door. I go to the front of the building he is not there. I go back to my place to get my phone to call. By the time I get back downstairs, he is just pulling up. I regret giving a tip. Will not be back for the 4th time.
The ceviche of shrimp and octopus is horrible, it's sweet, and I ask the supposed chef!!!! Told me they put ketchup. I've eaten that before, and never they put the crap. I know the recipe, and I've cooked it before and never used that. If I had a restaurant, believe me, he won't be cooking in my kitchen.
