Lighthouse Cafe San Pedro Reviews
Always consistent with food and services. Friendly servers, place always clean, always have this good vibes. One of our fave places after our trail walk.
We loved our experience this morning at the lighthouse cafe! We are visiting and were so lucky to find this amazing place! Highly recommend! The food was delicious and servers and other patrons were so nice and friendly!
We stayed at a hotel close by. Found this cute cafe! So happy we did. Staff were warm and welcoming. The food was so good! We ate here twice on our weekend stay.
This little breakfast café by the harbor is such a find. Their crab omelet was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The staff made me feel like a regular even on my first visit. The ocean breeze adds to the experience. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the area.
I believe the name is very fitting because if you look down the street, you might spot the lighthouse of SP in the far distance. Unfortunately, the Lighthouse coffee was closed on this one September sunny afternoon. Hoping to be back to access the food and service at review. Below are my thoughts on breakfast options in San Pedro in general. Lighthouse Café, The Corner Store, Rex Cafe and Colossus on Harbor. Above places could be considered „waterfront“ breakfast places in San Pedro ? Let me know if you have any yummy additions to my list?
First time here and I loved everything. Hot delicious fast service and cute little spot. I havd chicken machaca for breakfast with fruit. Perfect way to end my morning after a brisk coastal walk. I'm definitely coming back
Absolutely delicious breakfast spot in San Pedro. My husband and I enjoyed sharing a delicious lobster omelette that was one of the daily specials. Fresh sweet Lobster with perfectly cooked eggs homemade Hollandaise sauce and some spinach and tomatoes was quite amazing in taste & price. They happily substituted curly fries for the potato side for us and the service was friendly and on point.
We love this place my husband and I have been here a couple times very friendly staff good quality food I had the special shrimp spinach and mushroom omelette fresh to order shrimp we're really tasty and plump sat on the patio my husband had pancakes and side of hash browns they made his hash browns crispy like he likes them. Highly recommend this gem of a place!
Recently remodeled, looks great inside (glass kitchen is a nice touch), service was excellent, not crowded, but the food is the real star here. My order came back quicker than expected, looked great, and was actually made with care. Obviously they have some quality chefs in the kitchen that love making great food-- even the hash-browns were perfect, not dried out or over-cooked as is so common elsewhere. Price wasn't unreasonable and I was happy to complement them on the way out. Recommended! 👍
Just moved a few blocks away from this wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The food was amazing and very large portions for a great price. If you are all the way West in San Pedro out by the parks you absolutely have to stop by. Update 8/5/21 still a great local Jem but now it's been updated with fresh look and tvs for the sports enthusiasts. *See new photos
I had the sunken city sandwich (steak), and it was nice a tender on a sourdough bread. Steak was missing a bit of seasoning, but still hit the spot. Onion rings are fresh. But would be better if they came with some type of spicy aioli. The BLT sand was lime all the rest. And the curly fries are good. Definitely recommend eating here. I'll try breakfast next time.
Came across Lighthouse Cafe by chance while taking the day to explore San Pedro. I was hungry and decided to check it out. Immediately loved the decor. Old School coastal small town feel. Sat at the bar and the servers recommended their “Point Fermin” pita. Sandwich was super fresh. Pita was soft and warm. Added bacon and server recommended a side of dressing to top it off. Delicious! Sandwich comes with a side and I chosen their potato salad which was perfect. Added a draft to wash it all down and was completely satisfied. 🤗 Side note to the owner: not to be picky, but always “keeping it real” Stopped back by before heading home for a soda “to go” and was shocked when told how much. I will recommend your restaurant and I will personally be back next time I’m in San Pedro, but $4.00 for a soda???? This just really rubbed me the wrong way. All your prices are very reasonable and your servings are large, so charging, actually WAY overcharging, for a soda just really irritated me. Hope you’ll rethink that ✌🏽
We were so hungry by the time we arrived . We ordered the crunchy French toast and the Clint Eastwood. We totally enjoyed the French toast . The Clint Eastwood was okay didn’t really like the sauce and when we reheated the breakfast it had a funny taste. Would not order that again!
This is a cute little cafe. I ordered breakfast (turkey sausage omelette, home style potatoes, & one pancake) and a mimosa for the table (a bottle of champagne and a choice of two juices). The waitress brought our breakfast but forgot the mimosas. My omelette and potatoes were under seasoned, potatoes were undercooked, and my pancake was overcooked. When the waitress realized she hadn’t brought our mimosas, I told her nvm as we had already eaten. The place is small inside, so it was very uncomfortable that we had a large party behind us and our back were literally touching one another. If I’m ever in the area again. I would give it another try. I would just ask for my food to be moderately seasoned and will definitely sit outside.
Food was lacking in flavor. The chili cheese fries were bland and gave me indigestion. BLT was ok. Server never checked on us afterwards to see how we liked the food and she never came back around to refill our beverages. We had to ask for a to go box and had to ask for our receipt. If this place would step up their culinary game and hire better servers, it might be ok.
Came for a clam chowder bowl was disappointed! Our order was taken and served. Everyone was halfway done with their meal and my waitress comes back saying they are out of clam chowder. I believe this should have been said and taken care of before serving the other meals so I would have sufficient time to order something else. Our sides were given after the meal was served as well. Food is pricey. I was charged for a bread I didn't receive that was supposed to go with the clam chowder bowl. Korean bell burger was good. There's a good variety of shakes as well. Clean restaurant/bathroom and nice patio view of the ocean on a clear day. Better service is needed definitely!!!
I had been keeping an eye on this restaurant for a while—it looked delicious from the outside—but I hesitated because of the rather low reviews. Curiosity finally got the better of me, so I decided to give it a try. To start with, the waitress was very kind and welcoming, which I really appreciated. Among the dishes I ordered, the hash browns had an old oil smell and were extremely hard, though I still enjoyed the meal overall. When it came time to pay, I used my credit card and she didn’t provide a receipt for the payment, so I had to specifically ask for one. Also I was surprised to find an additional credit card surcharge applied. There had been no prior notice about this, which was disappointing—if I had known, I would have paid in cash instead. I wanted to cancel and redo the payment, but since I was short on time, I just left it as it was. The place was busy, and aside from the hash browns, the food was fairly average. As for whether I’d return... I’m not so sure.
