Costa Azul Restaurant Santa Ana Reviews
Such an authentic Mexican food place. We started off with the ceviche and ended with the steak and shrimp fajitas. This was my first time here and definitely not my last 😊
Amazing place; the music, food, servers and the atmosphere. This takes me back to when I used to visit my grandparents in Guadalajara. (Good thing I know now I can bring them here) . 😍🥰 My daughter loved it so did my family. Love you guys Costa azul & thanks babe (early birthday celebration) 👌😎🥰
My mom really likes this place, so she wanted to eat here for her birthday. She ordered the chicken enchiladas, my wife chose the shrimp cocktail, my boys got the quesadilla with fries, and I got the molcajete Costa Azul. I swapped out the carne asada for more chicken. My molcajete was delicious, and everyone else enjoyed their food. The service was great. Be prepared for loud music or bad karaoke singers. You won't get much of a conversation with people across the table from you. Maybe it's not as loud during the week or before dinner.
I normally like it here, the food is good, the beer is good. Today must have been a bad day. I ordered the liver, it was bone dry and obviously overcooked. The side salad had no dressing. If thus was my first time here it would have been a 2 star but I will give them the benefit of a doubt. They have another location on fairview that I like more.
This place was surprisingly loud. We walked in for dinner and could barely hear each other at the table. Be prepared to use Google translate on the menu if you do not speak Spanish. I ordered shrimp fajitas and they arrived cooked with bell peppers. No tortillas or anything. We had to wait and beg for the rest of the dish to be served. My friend ordered enchiladas and they arrived cold with the cheese not even melted.
Food is ok, not bad. Too expensive for the quality. The best value there if you are into seafood it's the 7 mares, a seafood stew, very tasty. Their molcajete for the price could be better. It is at best an average restaurant in a very crowded category in the area. Not bad, but there are plenty of better alternatives for the price point. Dec 2024 prices are sky high now. Not worth it.
Came to have dinner here for the first time with family. My sister in law had been here before and said we would have to go before the band made it there because they are so loud it would be hard to even hear a conversation at our table when the band plays. I ordered a Mango Tajin Margarita ....bomb. I personally felt as if our waitress was sucked. After being served our meals we realized qe didn't have silverware or napkins. The waitress was nowhere to be found. We had to get up and retrieve our own silverware in order to even start eating. Still yet our waitress never stopped by. I ordered a carne asada wet burrito with green sauce. It had more refried beans than meat. My partner had a carne asada plate which aside from her asking for no onions and everything on her plate having onions in it...the carne was super tasty and seasoned perfectly. This might have just been a first not so good experience, but I do want to come back and try some something different. I heard the food was good, just didn't feel it was at all this trip....maybe next time
This restaurant is not mexican. It has the atmosphere. But the food goodness gracious hideous. My cousin who had just arrived from Nayarit for vacation suggested this place because of the name. Had some chilaquiles was very disappointed. I told her only the name is Mexican the food is not made for Mexicans
