White Elephant Santa Clara Reviews
Most amazing Thai food I've ever tried. I straight up told the guy exactly what I wanted and he delivered this is the best basil cashew chicken I've ever had. I will be coming here all the time now thank you guys
Very good food for a fair price. The restaurant is quiet and has a lovely vibe. Staff are very friendly and wonderful. No notes.
Great spot for a quick lunch or relaxing dinner. I work nearby and can usually get here, eat and be back to work in under 30 minutes. Small but cozy dining room. Food is delicious, especially the pumpkin curry. The service is always super friendly and made a point to remember me, what I order and how spicy I want it, even after only a few visits.
Relatively cheap and amazingly delicious! The curry and rice portions we're on the generous side. As a bonus, my kids liked their finding nemo/ paw patrol kids dishes. Service was also fast and decent. My new favorite Thai place in the South Bay
Went here for lunch on a Saturday with a few friends. The place was almost empty so there was no wait. The service was good and we got the food pretty quickly. We all had different dishes, which were all good, and I was particularly happy with my Pad Thai that tasted really good! Will definitely come back soon.
Not a fancy place, but cosy and friendly. The food is good typical Thai, and the service fast. I appreciated that my lunch order included both a cup of soup and a small salad, both delicious, and I especially enjoyed the Thai peanut salad dressing. For the main course my friend and I ordered both the masaaman and mango curries for a side by side taste comparison and couldn't tell much difference between them. It was the masaaman that wasn't quite up to my expectations; not as peanutty as I prefer from a masaaman curry. And the beef was a bit chewy. Still it was all tasty and I'll be back again to try more of their dishes, especially for a fast lunch or quick dinner takeout.
We came 5mns before they open. Duang is very friendly and accommodating. I asked her all best foods, because i'm craving.. it's been awhile never had an authentic Thai food. She recommended pad Thai shrimp / prawn, tomyum soup fish, satay chicken. And ordered Thai drinks too. It was a pleasant experience, we finished everything and ordered a Finale dessert - mango sticky rice. So yummy! I'm a Filipina and my friend with me was black and we both enjoyed it. We will surely come back. Ronna & Celestia
Modest interior appointments, but food is delicious. Enjoyed Roti with two sauces, Duck Soup with noodles, and the Pumpkin Curry with tofu and chicken. So fresh and good!
Visiting Santa Clara and stumbled upon this Thai place. It’s a small place, old school establishment with authentic Thai taste. Just note: if you can’t handle spicy food ask for not spicy. The dish we ordered had the wonderful Thai seasoning of salty with a slight tangy and sweet taste. The Thai Ice Tea was the real deal.
My husband and I love coming to White Elephant! The food is always excellent and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I had the duck and shrimp Red Curry with white rice and Jasmine Thai Tea. The red curry was excellent, I really enjoyed the spice and the amazing Thai curry flavor. It came with bell peppers and pineapple. Such great combination of meat🍖 and fruits 🫑 🍍. I highly suggest giving this place a try, it's worth the experience.
I took my loving wife here and we had a great time
The food is delicious and the quantities very generous... We had the Basil fried rice and the Yellow curry... Both dishes were spiced to perfection and very flavorful.... We also loved the ambience and the pictures of Thai food on the walls.... The staff are courteous and considerate.... All in all a wonderful experience. Will definitely be visiting again!
Awesome tasting food! Loved the mango curry with tofu. I'll certainly introduce my friends and colleagues to this restaurant. Just big enough portions. The place looks like a hole in the wall and can be easily missed as you drive on El Camino real.
The Food here is excellent . I got the pineapple fried rice , fried tofu sauce which was delicious . My friends curry was really good .

The food is top-notch, doesn’t have any shrimp paste in the vegetarian options (which is imp for people with allergies), and they have a ton of options. The staff is friendly, and the place is cute and unpretentious.
Ordered uber eats from here and the food was DELICIOUS! I hate I didn’t take a picture of it but I order brown rice and green curry with fish. The portion size was large. I still have left overs so Im excited to eat that as well!!! I would definitely older food from here again and highly suggest it.
I ordered from White Elephant’s app for delivery today. I have always enjoyed dining in but today I was substituting for another teacher. Food was hot when it arrived. It was delicious and a treat on a Friday afternoon, Their Red Curry with Chicken is my favorite dish!
White Elephant is our “go to” Thai restaurant when we are craving flavors of Thailand . Basil chicken stir fry always great!! Satay delicious! Tom Kha soup medium spicy 🌶️ makes for happy tummies. Staff is always very friendly!!!
Really great service! The lady at the front of restaurant is super friendly and was keeping me informed on the status of my order. The food is so amazing. The pineapple rice is so good, with the pops of fruit with the warmth of the rice and the raisins are sweet and delicate.

Been there a handful of times and service has been great. Restroom could use a bit of update, but it does it's job. Food overall is good (curry is not as thick) and full of flavor. Their Thai spicy is really Thai spicy level!
I’ve ordered food from here through Uber Eats a couple times. This Thai seems to be a little more reasonably priced than some of the others in the same area. I’ve been disappointed with all the stir fried dishes that I’ve ordered. They’ve all been slightly dry and lacking flavor except for the green bean beef, which was okay. But, the shrimp green curry and the shrimp Tom kha soup are delicious. They’re super flavorful, so stick to the curries and soups at this place. The pineapple fried rice is decent, but nothing special.
The service was extremely fast at White Elephant. The food was very tasty as well. They ask how spicy do we want the food to be. We tried the mango curry and coconut rice. Extremely satisfied. Also tried spring rolls which were not bad. Would surely visit again.
The food was not bad. We liked the mango curry with prawns. The coconut soup (Tom ka gai) was a a little bit salty, but not bad. And the green bean dish with pork was nice.
White Elephant offers a good selection of Thai cuisine, with classic dishes like pad thai and pineapple fried rice, to chicken satay and other fried delicacies and much more. In classic Thai restaurant fashion, many dishes vary in price based off of protein of choice, typically: chicken, tofu, pork, beef, shrimp, etc. The food is well seasoned to my palette—I’m not a big fan of salty food and this hits just about right. I love spiciness that is more than detectable, so while the dishes themselves did not tend to be hot, chili is offered upon request! Both the pad see ew and basil fried rice were good to me and my entire family of five’s taste. The pad thai was a bit lacking, but still quite good. The protein focused dishes we ordered—Fried tofu, crispy fish, chicken satay—were all very good and served with sauces. Slight tangent: My mom had a minor complaint that the tofu was not as aromatic as the tofu she gets from the supermarket, but she’s also an insane chef. Personally, I’m a curry eater and curry they served: I got the red curry—featuring red curry, bamboo, protein (I always get chicken) and veggies. I asked for additional eggplant. This was my favorite, but again I’m a curry fiend and apologist. The curry was deep and rich, thanks to the coconut milk that was very aromatic and fresh—as if the curry was made to order. The eggplant was beautifully braised, soft and custardy. Again, another perfectly seasoned dish that was good both standalone and over rice. On service, we arrived about an hour before closing and dipped into closed hours, but the one waitress was incredibly deft, kind, and patient. My mom is a bit of a hard customer at times, but the waitress was so sweet for taking our order and getting my mom the hot water she wanted. For a restaurant with two staff members, order was insanely rapid. Honestly, the service is on par with the work of a fully staffed restaurant. The restaurant itself is cute and cozy, set up like it’s meant for cozy homely meals to share with a couple friends at a time!
We had a very enjoyable first time experience here. We ordered the Pad Thai and Massaman curry. Both dishes were excellent and the serving sizes here are great! Our toddler had the Egg Fried Rice which he loved. Our server was amazing and she was very sweet and accommodating to our family. We will be back!

Straight shooting Thai food at reasonable prices. The restaurant itself isn’t really much to speak of so takeout is probably preferred. Parking can be a challenge at lunch but plenty of street parking close by. Service was fine

A no frills place, most of the business appears to be takeout. We dined in. I had Dosa of all things, and it was tasty, served with a peanut sauce and a curry sauce. My friend’s Pad Thai was on the dry side. My other friend’s salad was good but not as spicy as expected. We’ll be back.
The food was overpriced and not that great... the chicken and green beans were too salty. The yellow curry was too runny and thin, and it lacked flavor :( The mixed seafood pineapple rice was really good, but it literally had 4 tiny pieces of pineapple and very little seafood. The service was ok, I guess... They don't provide hot sauce or extra napkins (unless you ask for them), and you will only get 1. There was not really an atmosphere as we were the only people eating there and could only hear the Spanish songs the cooks were playing in the back. Sorry I forgot to take pictures.
Just had the yellow curry with some rice which was alright, no complaints really. Probably best as a take-out option as the layout is a little barren and cramped.
We got take-out. It was OK. I thought my pad Thai was kinda dry but I wolfed it down nonetheless. My wife's pineapple rice had like 2 raisins but didn't complain much otherwise. We will visit again and revise if needed.
Decent food. Ordered takeout basil fried rice and cashew nut Thai chicken. I felt, basil fried rice we’re okay. Could have been better. Perhaps little more spices or sauces. Something was missing. Chicken was good. Would recommend for sure.

The Padsewe was sweeter than it should be. The curry is watery, not enough curry on it and the papaya salad has absolutely no spice. I don't taste any authentic Thai flavor in any of the dishes. It tastes like this food is steered towards people who like bland or sweet food. The Thai tea was okay. Parking was a nightmare. There's people going in and out and their van is parked in front so one less parking, there's about 5 parking spots in front. Be careful when going in and out, it's hectic. They at least bring food out to you. My wife was ordering food and the guy taking the order kept trying interrupting with the total when my wife was not done ordering everything. Our bill came out to about $50 but we did not receive an itemized receipt so don't know how much everything is. We ordered a Thai Coffee and tea, padsewe, papaya salad with shrimp and yellow curry (wife hated the curry). Were from out of town and won't be coming back, find a real authentic Thai restaurant, this isn't it.
It’s feels like a run down place, doesn’t look hygienic. Yellow curry only had potatoes, onions and may be 2 carrot pieces. Overall the quality of food isn’t that great.
Not good taste unfortunately.. Pad Thai is dry Roti is not flakey and not flavorful.

I found a piece of a plastic packet in one morsel of my food -- the soft, flexible, plastic packaging was actually in my food and in my mouth and I didn't realize it until I'd pulled it out from between my teeth a couple hours later! I won't be going back here again. They're not taking proper care about what goes into the food. And the plastic was so flimsy and breaking off so I've consumed so many bits of plastic. This is awful!! It's very harmful. The plastic was in the hot food and would have leeched into my food and if it was cooked with it, which in all likelihood it was, I have consumed more plastic. Obviously the restaurant doesn't deal with these consequences but we have to deal with the effects of eating plastic.
Rude service at the counter. We opened the door, they(unsure about gender pronouns.) looked us up and down very rudely as if they were disgusted by us, didnt greet us, didnt say anything to us... We said we have a pickup order, they got irritated and told us its not ready (Uber Eats app said it was) they shooed us out and had us stand outside to wait... Again, very rudely and not welcoming in the slightest. We dont mind waiting and we never have an issue with waiting, but their behavior is unacceptable and rude. I have never been treated this trashy before. I know my order is ready. I saw it on the counter... Yet, we are waiting outside now because they want to save face after lying that it wasnt ready... Based on service alone, I'll get my curry somewhere else. I dont recommend eating here. Its not a friendly atmosphere.
Ordered via uber eats my daughter and I have been having digestive issues since eating their pad Thai.
Shrimp tempura 5pcs about 2 inches thin for $11.95 is a highway robbery. Tom yum noodle soup sucks...too much white noodles...better to eat ramen noodles at home. My first and last time dining at that place.
Did a uber eats and the drunken noodles were terrible. Burned, few pieces of meat and tasted like card board. Maybe a new cook?
This was uber eats order. Food wasn’t as expected, too less chicken with lots of bell pepper and onions in it. Chicken wasn’t properly cooked up-to the softness level for both basil chicken and yellow curry. Too less quantity for the price. There was no rice included.

Irresponsible restaurant, we clearly mentioned vegan in our instructions but we ended up seeing egg . When we called the restaurant the person who picked up our call was rude and tried telling us what vegan means. Never have wasted food . This restaurant ensure we had bad experience. If you are a vegetarian or vegan please avoid this place.
